Draanel starts to gently run her fingernails along the lines, working by sense of touch and hearing as much as the visual cues. Conscious she doesn't know whether the liquid is helpful or harmful, she moves the orb around so that she is only ever working on a line when it is it the top of the orb. She shares in information with the group, "This ere baubles got some liquid inside it. Might be able to pry it open along these lines..."
How long do we have to wait for this wagon to be ready? Robin would try taking a short rest to Identify one of the objects, (I don't care which one.) Likely that won't work, so then it is a matter of simply stuffing them into a bag and continuing on, as I doubt if anyone really wants to try out the items just for fun.
If someone does want to try them out, then the above is no restriction on doing that, so feel free.
Unless something changes, then Robin is simply waiting for the wagon to be ready, once the short-rest identify (Non magical attempt) fails.
Once again the identify spell does not take effect. about an hour passes before a group of armored individuals with Lork the halfling at their side, nearly stumbling over nothing. The leader of the bundle seems to be a female who dons the crest of Sire on a tabard. Her domed helm makes it difficult to determine if she's human or not.
She eyes you all through a weathered face and spits something brown into a nearby patch of grass."Ready?"She sounds stern but not uninterested. "Carriage is at the gate. Previsions are packed inside."
The lockets has an inscription but doesn't seem to have a seem for it to open. From your check you determine the the inscription is Celestial. It emits a comfortable warmth to your hands as you hold it. It's a similar feeling to being the recipient to an Evocation healing spell.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rakim smiles as he recognizes the magic attached to the locket. It's not the kind that he would normally use, but it looks fashionable so Rakim slips it on his neck. As they wait for the wagon Rakim will try and focus his energy on the locket to see if he can identify what would be needed to use the spells stored inside of it.
(OOC: Feel free to move ahead with the wagon. I have no problem just flashing back to Rakim experimenting with the locket as we continue. I don't want to hold everyone back.)
Rakim nods happily at the woman, with Errol still snoring on his shoulder, the satyr skips over to the wagon and climbs quickly inside, "Are you all ready for an adventure?" He says excitedly.

(Just so the DM knows, this last attempt was not the identify spell, so not sure who was casting that, but Robin was simply doing the Short Rest version of identifying an item. That does not involve casting of any spells, and is simply how non-magic-users identify things. I am guessing it does not work, but I wished to be specific that no magic was in use here, so any anti-magic effects blocking the Identify Spell would not cause this to fail. I am sure you have a reason it won't work, but wanted to be clear there is no magic in use in this attempt.)

(Understood. My apologies. You are correct in that you learn little else.)

EDIT: Nevermind... I just missed your top post.
As you've noted, you're not too familiar with the kind of magic, thus you have little idea of any kind of trigger.
Albert joins the others and he is also willing to drive the wagon
There is a driver in place, but upon hearing that you're willing to drive he hops down (a gnome, now that he's on the ground and you can distinguish his size). "If ya wan' it, there she be. I don' care how much they be payin', I ain't goin' anywhere near that city."
The carriage is well traveled, with a lot of the paint scratched off. The violet cushioned seats inside are sunken in. A metal bolt is lodged within the door and is stubbornly not coming out, despite one of the guards' best attempts.
Robin settles onto the worn cushion. She crosses her legs and glances to the others. "Doesn't appear we get to ride in comfort, but at least it is better than walking."
Rakim nods to Robin and says, "Comfort isn't the priority here. But it would have been nice." To the driver, the satyr responds with an affirmation as well, "As close as you can get us would be greatly appreciated."

Bring out your inner chatacter class...
Rakim looks over at the bauble, "Well I suppose we should try and open it then. Doesn't look like it does much, but the liquid might be more fun."

(Not sure.)
(Sorry, it seemed there wasn't a clear indication of what the group wanted to do)

Albert just tests and wait for the wagon to be ready
Rakim will definitely take a closer look at the locket while they wait for the wagon. He will also try to open it if that is possible.
