"Perhaps we can bring back the harvest, if the waters of this place are restored. This is a place of dreams, yes? Then we dream of a place of bounty. Where the crops grow tall and full. But we are not at our destination, yet. We can help you, but our best chance of success is if you help us." Daventry continues on Ludolf and Triasa's line of thought.
"Help is an.... odd... dream but the fields are empty and if the water runs pure again...." She trails off in her monotony as she stares past you toward the water. "Something at the spring has changed but we don't go there, the spring flows to us. Should you choose to follow the spring back into the forest and you'll find the pool. The four armed beasts do not go there. You will not find Gugs there." She has some difficulty speaking "Your dream is fresh and ripe, be careful not to lose your way."

“I would be quite curious to see the water to understand what has happened to it.” Pardot says, feeling sad that the people here seem to have lost their dreams in a world of dreamers
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Glancing around a bit, before they head off, Pardot turns to the woman and asks, "You mentioned earlier that you are toiling until the harvest returns. Has the corruption of the pool made farming very difficult? When was your last harvest?"
The women blinks slowly, "Long... how long has it been..." Her words drift off into nothingness as you realize time has a very nebulous meaning here. The sky has not changed since your arrival and judging by the current course you doubt that it will. Given Pardot's experience with the moon and the stars you are feel confident that there is no way to really measure time. "The fields are barren... the river no longer nourishes the land but we will toil and work until the harvest returns."
The women is not lying or holding any truth back. There is an indifference to how speaks about the harvest and the river which would strike you as odd for a farmer.

"I have had some recent experience setting up a farm, perhaps I could help, though it will take a day of rest to prepare," Pardot says, thinking back to the farm and Greenie back at the Keep. Then asks, "is there much game here to keep everyone here fed?"
"Food... no that was a dream.... to eat and not toil in the fields... but the taste of meat... that is not for this dream... not anymore... If you can prepare the harvest I'd love to see it again.. Will you join in sowing the land, will join this dream?" The women looks at Pardot unblinkingly her pale eyes boring almost into your soul as she asks you to join the harvest. Her voice is feverish and eager for the first time since the conversation started. She takes a non-threatening step toward you. You look about and the other villagers have stopped dead in their tracks each of their pale faces turned toward Pardot and staring at him unflinchingly to see if he will join the harvest.

A bit weirded out and suddenly cautious, Pardot looks to the others and back to the woman saying, "I will... help you to sow the land after we have seen the water and I can prepare my spells knowing what is needed..."
"Pardot, we have a purpose," Triäsa says firmly to the halfling. "At the moment, it is to cleanse this grove. Then we need to speak with Nodens. Don't forget our purpose. Perhaps we can figure out a way to help these people later."
Ludolf nods in agreement with Triäsa. They didn't know what would happen on their journey into the Dreamlands but the old man found it unlikely there would be time for any agricultural projects. "Unless there is more to find out about what is ahead of us we should go on now." He says firmly, looking to Daventry to lead them on towards the corrupted pool.
Daventry pauses. "Unless time works differently here... We've only the time it takes for a night's rest to journey here before we awake from our real world dreaming. I don't think we will have the days to set up a farm. Let us hunt the source of these nightmares."
As the woman touches Pardot’s head, his eyes go wide as he looks over the field, and only comes back to focus once he hears Daventry’s voice. Looking at her he says, not entirely all here, “Yes.. you are right. If we can help we can, but first we need to focus on the pool…”
