"Probably that stream just past town is what we want to follow," Triäsa says to Daventry. Seeing her friend being cautious, she too tries to stay quiet and out of sight as much as possible.
The women narrows her cold grey eyes at Pardot and steps away without another word. The other farmers blink slowly and then return to whatever task they were previously set upon. They don't disturb you any further as you walk through the village to the river.
The river is not large maybe15 feet wide and the water is perfectly crystal clear. It appears to be five or six feet at the center and flows gently from right to left. The bottom of the river is filled with perfectly smooth rocks, no matter how long you stare at it you don't see any fish or vegetation, just the perfectly smooth stones along the riverbed. Per your instructions you turn to the right and begin to follow the river upstream. It takes a bit to reach the point where the river pierces the forest and and curves back into the fluorescent woods.
You walk for another ten minutes... or maybe it's ten hours... along the banks of the river. You follow it's serpentine course as it gradually climbs through the forest. As you press on, the stream gently narrows as the forest thickens around it. At points your are forced to walk in the water as the banks of the river are too crowded to walk comfortably. As you tire a bit from your seemingly endless walk the forest thins slightly as you all silently pick your way toward the origin of the river.
Nestled against the face of a mountain (mountain... where did that come from....) is a perfectly still spring of fresh that feeds the river as it runs calmly past you. Along the shore are two robed figures one on each side. A smaller, femine appearing hooded figure stands on the north shore. She is dressed in a beautiful, elegant white robe with delicate golden trim. The hood covers her face. She is maybe five and a half feet tall with her hands raised aboved her head and palms facing up toward the sky. Directly across from her is a larger more masculine appearing figure with deep, black robes and red trim. He is easily over six feet tall and stands with the same rigid posture.
Thanks to Pardot's spell your presence has not been noticed by either figure. There is an audible and palpable hum of energy and power that starts from the figures and seems to vibrate over and into the pool.
(I'll see if I can get a little map together and post it later)

As they walk, Triäsa can't help but quietly note, "The water seems so clear and clean." She then realizes talking probably isn't good for sneaking, so goes silent again until they get to the spring. She looks at the two figures, studying each of them and trying to understand what it is they are doing.
Ludolf had followed the others through the flourescent woods, still wary of threats. "Yes, it could be a sign the water is poisonous I'm afraid." He quietly answers Triäsa comment on the water. As they reach the spring he studies the two robed persons from afar, hoping to notice things that might give him a clue to what their purpose here is.

Here is a map. Mage tokens are from some AI generated art so they are not perfect but I think you get the idea.
