Very interested. I'll post my character in a moment.
I don't know what happened with the rolls, I didn't edit anything, but it rerolled them. I'll post a second set for posterity.
Name - Eos Brightblade Race - Protector Aasimar Class - paladin (oath breaker) 6/ sorcerer (divine soul) 5, built as a healer Backstory - Eos was once a paladin of tyranny, known by the name of Torrik Darkblade, sworn to Ixarus. He served without doubt and without hesitation, having been indoctrinated from childhood to worship the Absolute. He would likely have continued down this route had it not been for a fateful encounter, a mere year ago. Torrik was tasked with taking a squad of soldiers and clearing out a coven of conspirators that had been reported to be meeting in an abandoned temple of the Dawn. He hid out with his team, staking out the temple for days until they began to notice movement. When all the conspirators had arrived, they sprung the trap and attacked. They massacred the conspirators, killing all but the leader who Torrik planned to take back to his superiors. But before they could take possession of the lead conspirator, there was a flash, and a vestige of the Dawn goddesses power that still haunted the temple exploded into Torrik and his troops. The soldiers were killed instantly, and Torrik was shown a revelation. He wept at the deaths he had wrought and the horrors he had committed in the name of Ixarus. Possessed now by the remaining power of the goddess, he recast himself as Eos Brightblade, after the goddess whose power he carries, and travels to undo the evil he has wrought. Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - to prevent others from following down the path he had and improve the world.

Let's see... I might play a cleric who finds power in the (metaphorical) abyss the world is in, or maybe a fighter who seeks a good death... I'll need to think about it, there are so many possibilities!

Name - Chorix Starheim Race - Mountain Dwarf Class - Paladin (11) Backstory - as long as he had lived, his home had been in ruins due to the false god that proclaimed to be the true one. his family, albeit in hiding, still reveared the old gods, the true gods. he trained under his clans tutilage, studying the hidden creatures that had been follows of the gods, earning their trust and becoming a paladin of Tyr, the god of war. devoting himself to the dead diety, he set out, albeit under disguise, to destroy that which ruined his parent's world underground. although, his old friend was a lot more talkative than he usually was, often asking about his training and such. Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - ruining his life, so he plans to ruin theirs. simple enough, no?

a hobbit of the tolkeinite cult
a frequenter of taverns
mainly an Emerald half-dragon with a psudodragon pet
haven't been on because mobile sucks and wifi sucks
Self-proclaimed Non-Binary Diety of bad writing and Lizardfolk Monks
Backstory - The night. Where many perils lie, where hope sinks, where outcasts hide. Where Krom learned to stay away from inquisitive eyes, and where he found strength to do what must be done.
Krom's parents where burnt for being heretics. The inquisition took him away, being still a very young child, and he was raised as a tool meant to fulfill a role. He came to be a soldier in the armies of the Absolute, a faithful servant... at least during the day. At night, horrible nightmares assailed him, telling truths he didn't want to hear and showing him realities he didn't want to see.
One day, an old man condemned for druidism was able to reach his core. His words were wise and, even though Krom shouldn't be paying attention to a prisoner's babbling, he listened and understood. After the old man's execution, he ran away into the night. He ended up in some old ruins, an ancient place of power, where he connected with his inner truth. He saw his family and many others who'd been chased and caught, and he knew he had to decide on which side he would be from then on. He made the choice and never regreted.
Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - Milennia of tyranny must be ended. The whispers of thousands haunt Krom on his dreams. His family's faces are nothing more than blurred, vague memories, and that's something that isn't going to change - but that doesn't mean he can't spare the same fate to the thousands to come.
Question - What we get for equipment is just the starting gear, right?

Name - Ichabod Artimis Race - Fallen Aasimar Class - Bladesinger/Artificer Backstory - Ich was a proud celestial a warrior of _______ He fell from grace once his god was slain, finding refuge amongst the elves he learnt their brand of magic and sword play all the while vowing revenge for his true love his god Motivation for wanting to kill revenge and to set things straight.
Name: Corva Mori Race: Sharder-Kai Class: Fighter/Monk
In the wake of the devastation of the War of Gods, no plane was left untouched, and no race was left unharmed. Following the destruction of her temples, Corva Mori, a monk of her Monastic order of the Memorites narrowly escaped as part of the Shadowfel was destroyed.
In the frantic and disorganized escape he ended up on the prime material plane. Alone and in a very foreign world he felt alone and scared. To try and regain a semblance of normalcy he started providing his services of easing the passage of the sick and elderly, and healing those who's time was not yet up.
He often keeps out of larger cities, and keeps to smaller towns and villages where he can more readily explain his attire and his reluctance to show his face. As part of his sorrow and morning of the passing of his goddess he wears a raven mask and is clad in black. But in truth it's as much to hide his appearance from those who would be frightened by his appearance.
As the years passed, Corva found a few others who also once worshiped the raven queen, and even found a small, abandoned temple of hers near a town that was ravaged during the war and afterwards abandoned. But regardless, over the years, he has managed to recruit a few more Memorites to help him uphold the old balance of life and death.
Through his work he has met others who, like him, have an absolute disdain for the havoc that the great war caused. But Corva has come to the conclusion that if there are to be no order in the balance between life and death, then there should be no divine power at all. And in the darkness of the night, when no one was listening but for the Queen her self he swore to revenge her and kill Ixarus.
Ability scores: 91214151412 Name - Rache Schaden Race - Reborn (Tiefling body) Class - Oath of Vengance Paladin Backstory - (short or as long as you want): Born in a major city, Rache grew up being just one of many, but he worked hard to escape that. He got stronger and more powerful, worshiping one of the major gods before the fall of the pantheon and rise of Ixarus. In one of these wars that had befallen the planes, he was killed, yet not in battle. He was ambushed in the night and tortured, embarrassed and finally bled out, long after his perpetrator walked off. All he knew is that his murderer worshiped Ixarus. Now, many years later He has risen from the grave as a last ditch effort from his former god, long forgotten except in his own soul, has reached his body, giving it the power to rise and carry out one finally duty, kill Ixarus. He had many friends in his life, all of which drifted away before the battles that ensued, showing their actual cowardice. He knows nothing of his past life now, other than that he was wronged again and again by worshipers of so called "good" gods, and that he was reborn for vengance. (Id like to flesh out a larger backstory if chosen!)
Motivation for wanting to kill Ixarus - Revenge for his god and himself, would like to bring the former pantheon back to its glory and restore balance. (Maybe a high respected official is is murderer and would also like to take down a government?)
Name: Willem Taal Race: Half-elf Class: Fey Wanderer Ranger/Warlock
Background:
Willem has always been comfortable on his own. He understands the ways of nature and how to live, or more accurately, thrive in it.There was this time he found a stream quite literally that appeared out of nowhere. Needing to freshen up, he scooped up the water in his hands and drank. The water was cold and refreshing. His body tingled after each drink. Once he had his fill, he made camp a short distance away from the stream and rested for the night.
The next morning, things felt different. He thought we was going mad. His skin and hair were different colors than the day before. Untying his hair confirmed that was different. "Maybe it's the light.", he thought. After packing up camp and heading to the stream, he noticed it wasn't there. Just a dried up bed where the water was flowing the day before. Heading into the light, still dumbstruck by what was going on, Willem enters a clearing. His skin was a different tone than the day before. It was spring and it seemed to match the area he was in. There was definitely something in that water.
Motivation:
All life deserves to live. Other deities need to exist to ensure the circle of life continues. Harmony is not possible when everyone is reduced to getting favors from the church of one "god". Willem wants to correct this and feels after some inner reflection that maybe that stream was there for a reason. To give him the strength, the ability, to take on this quest with whomever else wants to slay the "god".

Name - Master Gedyr A Lhuig Race - Variant Human Class - Psi Warrior / Enchanter Backstory - A young apprentice in an order of warrior jedi, Gedyr was the only one to escape when the dark paladins of Ixarus found their hidden monestary in the mountains. Years on the run strengthening the power of his mind and studying the arcane where he can find it, he has dedicated his life to returning balance to the force. He has thwarted the will of Ixarus when he can, but realizes that more is needed to take down the dark god. He is no longer the young apprentice now, he is the master - and now he seeks others to join him in his goal.
Motivation: In addition to destroying the power of the dark god, Master Gedyr wants vengeance on the dark paladin that led the raid to destroy his order.
Backstory and Morivation: Part of Ixarus' knights as a squire, swore an oath of the crown, but one day the last remnant of a unknown god Xandar calls "The Blade" found him, told him of Ixarus' lies and betrayels, and forged a pact with him. He left the paladins, is now considered a former squire with a standing oath and divine power but he actually broke said oath and now set up a ring of spies. The Blade gives him powers and has the ability to prevent Ixarus from revoking Xandar's paladin abilities.
Hates Ixarus and wants to destroy him for his betrayels among the other gods.
