A goblin walks closer to the road, they say "A dwarf and a bodyguard you say? I'll say this, this dwarf's human companion is held in the "eating cave" nearby, the dwarf and his map were delivered to King Grol, as instructed. The eating cave is nearby, I could show you the way, if you can help me."
Grishnak walks right up behind them (in melee range in case of unfortunate accidents) and yells, "SNEAKY SNEAKY!" so that the goblins know not to notice him.
Then he just stands there waiting for negotiations to be concluded.
Khessa says: "Well... The name "eating cave" is far from reassuring... Sounds like a dangerous places to be. And if the man gets eaten, he will be of no more use for us. Show us this cave first and allow us to free him, if he still lives. We will persuade him to join us and help. And together it will be easier to track your missing comrade"
Khessa also agrees, she only awaits goblin's response, for she is worried for Sildar. She would like to free him as very first step. She fears he will die, if left for too long in a place named "EATING cave"...
Now I'll be offline some hour, so I tell the general course of actions of Khessa: if the goblins agree to bring us to this "eating cave", she asks as many information as she can from the goblins about this cave then she is OK with exploring it and try to save Sildar. If the goblins do NOT agree, she will ask Grishnak and Cwilli if they can possibly read the tracks on the terrain and find the cave without goblin's help. If they CAN, she would like to get rid of these goblin bandits (killing them, now that we are near) since they are a danger for all, if left free to continue with their ambushes. If they CAN NOT... she is OK with searching the missing goblin, hoping to be quick enough to save Sildar all the same. She wishes to save Sildar beacuse: 1) is an innocent prisoner! 2) he might be able to help rescuing Gundren as well
As anticipated, Khessa tries to assess if the party can do without the goblins. She pretends to reflect about finding the missing goblin and asks Grishnak and Cwilli: "To find somebody, we will have to use tracking skills... Are you good at finding and following tracks?"
"There is a small hut nearby, we walked by and turned around to check on him, he hadn't said a word in quite some time, when we turned around, we didn't see him. The last place we saw him was near a cave, little in it, we were sleeping in it. Next morning we left, we had become distracted and he was taken, or got lost. I can lead you there."
I'm not going to make Grishnak roll insight. You can tell they are worried for their friend, and they do not seem that they are lying.
Another goblin says "He spoke a little between leaving the cave and us getting to the shack, which is about a 2 hour walk, he said he felt like someone was watching him. There was another one with us, we sent her to check the eating cave."
Khessa does not see another way to find Sildar, so she agrees to help the goblins: "Ok, lead the way, we will search for your missing friend. What's his name by the way? And what is yours (so we can tell him that you sent us)?"
The goblin responds "Tekz is my name, her name is Klez." The goblin stands still for a moment and then says "The shack is further in the woods, come on!"
He will now wait for the majority to decide to go or to not go.
Since Grishnak left decision to the other party members, Khessa asks to Cwilli: "It is OK for you to try to find Klez? So far, it seems our best bet to get to Sildar..."
Then, coming nearer and whispering "Or do you think you could be able track Sildar without Tekz and company?"
So many days without a single post... there is something we can do about it? I'm relatively new to PBP, I do not know how this situation is usually handled, but I know I would like this quest to continue...

Chilling kinda vibe.
A goblin yells "Another one of us went missing in the woods, if you could find him, I can tell you."
Khessa says: "Well... The name "eating cave" is far from reassuring... Sounds like a dangerous places to be. And if the man gets eaten, he will be of no more use for us. Cwilli agrees to translate and join the quest if his companions agree.
Grishnak nods his agreement.
Chilling kinda vibe.

Grishnak's tummy rumbled. A trip to the eating cave sounded good.
Chilling kinda vibe.

The goblin stands there suspiciously, "Oh no, he is not dead, captured. We don't tell you where the cave is till' we see our buddy."
I prepare earth tremor

"Not particularly." (+2 bonus)
To the goblins, "Where's your friend? Where did you see them last?" (And will use Insight to try and see if they lie to him.)
Chilling kinda vibe.

Chilling kinda vibe.

It survived longer than most. The best way to bring them back is just to post when they get quiet.
Chilling kinda vibe.
