"He has shown me visions of my brother, whom I haven't' seen in years, fighting for his life," responding to Moonoak. Calder turns his attention back to Lio'lauth, and takes a step closer, "You say he is unharmed right now. Do you know where he is?" A bit of hesitation in his voice as if he's not sure if he wants to know the answer.

"Your brother is in a prison cell. Alive, unharmed. Being held for questioning tomorrow. Vasselheim, I think." Lio'Lauth responds, his eyes glazing over.
Pah, weddings! A small part of her exalted at that, but she didn't attempt to waver from her protectiveness over her absent daughter. Kenari huffed. "Don't. You have no idea if he barters his truth or lies." She paused, before glancing at cleric, "Or what his price is for knowing."Cults, or cultists, would lead in false promises. Gold, fame or a promise of a world in which they mattered. Even family, it was always the little things that demons got their hooks in.
"Well, knowing Symon when I left him that would be par for the course,"Calder replies to Kenari. "You really haven't opened my eyes to anything new there,"back to Lio'lauth. "Plus if he's in Vasselhiem there's little I can do for him now."

"There's no price, I promise you." Lio'lauth steps closer to you. "Your daughter would be so happy to see you, you know."

"Oh, I'm not so sure about that. You have the strongest connection to the Changebringer that I've ever seen." His face contorts into a sneer. "Avandra has caused me so much trouble in the past it's not even funny..."

Calder shakes his head in disbelief, "Okay. Now you're just blowing smoke. I'm just recently out of the church, so I know there have to be others who have stronger ties to Avandra."

"Well," He claps his hands together, pulling them apart as a silver amulet seems to appear from his hands, a beautifully cut, glittering emerald set in the jewelry. You feel a pulse of energy as the amulet enters the chamber. "This is the Kiss of the Changebringer, young cleric of Avandra."

"Pretty. It's not my color." Growing tiresome of the whole ordeal, Calder continues on, "Okay, cut to the chase. Nothing is free. What is it you want?"

Because you studied the Changebringer for years, you know that this is a very powerful artifact crafted by the Changebringer Avandra herself.
"Hmph." Lio'lauth loses his grin. "I want you." He says, stepping away from Kenari. "Or her." He points to the half-orc woman. "Or even the wimpy elf." He gestures to Moonoak. "You all have something... special about you. The other half-orc, well, he doesn't interest me."
As he says this, Valmarir finishes his incantation, releasing Gus. "You certainly bound him stronger than the others." Valmarir hisses, wiping his brow.
Trying to ignore being called 'wimpy', i say, "what do you mean, want one of us?"
Lio'lauth ponders something for a moment. "Well, you each have a spark of power in you. The cleric," Calder's muscles tense as he is lifted into the air, "he has a holy connection."
"Kenari," Kenari is lifted into the air with a sweep of Lio'lauth's hand, just as Calder was. "Well, Kenari has a potent blood-based magic inside of her, along with... something I can't discern."
"And you." He sneers as he points at you. You begins to float, and you can't move your arms or legs. "You have a spark of bright darkness in you. Along with the obvious."
"Really! This again?!" Calder exclaims as his muscles tense up. "Oh, well this is new,"when he begins to float off the ground. If Calder had use of his hands he probably would be mocking Lio'lauth silently by puppeting a mouth with his hand. "If I may be sold bold as to speak for the rest of my companions, but.... Please, **** off! No one is coming with you," saying with false politeness.

Lio'lauth holds his hand out toward you and makes a fist. You feel a strange sucking sensation, before it quickly dissipates. Your vision goes fuzzy, but you just barely see an arrow fly through the chamber and slam into the demon's eye. Everyone floating drops the ground as Lio'lauth yells in pain and grabs the arrow. "I liked that eye!" He hisses.
Everyone sees an elf standing by the entrance to the chamber, longbow held in hand and poised like they just let loose an arrow.

"Don't even think about her."
She was not something to be tarnished by this unnatural creature.
