"I heard you guys could do that! B-but I, uhm, didn't want to assume in your case, 'cause, ya know uhm... yes, uh... a-anyways." Nobody turns on the mouse girl next. "W-w-wh-what about you? Y-you're pretty small, er, no offense. Uh, so, er, I-I don't want to presume too much. B-but are you, uhm....uhh... I-I'm sorry, I-I just have to know. W-what arrre you, exactly? I-If ya don't mind saying. I-It's just I don't believe, uhm... I-I mean the world and multiverse is a big place of course! And, er, the city of waterdeep i-is bit of a melting pot of sorts of course. I-I just, u-uh, er, I-I just find myself curious is all."

The mouse girl grins, "I'm a Jerbeen. Obviousllllyyy we look like mice you know? I'm from a place that's like far far away. I mean you have to travel so far on an airship but it can be a fun trip if you like traveling. We're all small and like live in big families. Do you have a big family?"

Nobody's expression becomes melancholy as he shook his head. "No... A-at least, last check anyways. Though, it's been some years and then some since I've seen my family. But-" He shrugs. "Such was the cost of...... I... I think we're getting a bit off topic here, s-so, uhm... Pretty much we're in agreement of getting up earlier, seek out the next caravan, and, uh... try to get hired on then? Good! U-uh, in that case unless there's something more that needs to be discussed, I-I think I'm gonna call it early here."

After the meals are served and everyone is full, Rudy ruffles his feathers "Ahem, it seems as if you know as much as we do, but you do have an option other than being hired, we'll provide horses," He looks at the Jerbeen "Or the proper size mount, if needed, and shadow the slow moving caravan." 

" Juuurrrrrrbeen.", purred Kissa, " I like that word, feels good in your mouth."

" Ok, so you two get hired and we follow?"

"Hmmm...I think I like the idea of traveling with the caravan. We can like you know, get more security and don't have to worry about all the camping thingies?"

Kuri shrugs. 

"Ehh, y-you still would to some degree, though that depends on you're employer, I suppose. B-but be all that as it is, I-I, uh, kinda like this divide and, uhm, conquor strategm. I-I can even, uh, call on a different familiar to act as something ofa  go between for us, if'n that's alright? O-Or you two could even leave, uhmmm-messages behind for us? Just to let us know if there's any deviation on the part of the cultist or what-have-you." Nobody said, then motioned to druidess of the party. "O-or even through the beast you might summon, perhaps! Th-though -- I-I problem don't need to remind, but if doing so, discretion is the better part of valor. B-but if all else fails and you two need to back off as well, then I suppose you can always hitch a ride as a bug or something, eh?"

"Well ok then." Kuri shrugs "We'll go there tomorrow and try to get hired as guards or something like that."

She rubs her belly and yawns a cute mouse yawn. Time for sleepy sleeps.

Fargen pulls out some scrolls from the bag of holding.  He shows one of two spells of Disguise Self to Nobody.  "Perhaps you can learn one of these spells and we can make use of for those of us more recognizable to the cult...  I myself will prepare more divination spells for tomorrow, as well as combat.  I hope we finally get a chop the legs out from this cult's getaway"

"Really?! I-Hmm... I-If I may-" Nobody holds out a hand ready to accept whichever scroll Fargen was willing to offer. After pouring over the encoded details of the spell however, the tiefling furrows his brow. "This... c-could work. Maybe. A bit taxing on my strength, unless I can somehow modify or include some, uhm, physical wear to obscure my face further. B-but it could perhaps work, s-so long as they haven't been paying too too much attention to...w-well..."  Nobody looks towards the nearest lighting, and then tries to position his hand or tail in such a way as to cast a shadow.

However, upon closer inspection, the group can see that Nobody actually casts no shadow at all. "My infernal gift, i-if one could call it. I-I once knew a gnome in that suggested that the reason I was so dark was because my shadow wanted just that much more to be close to me." He chuckled. "I-I'll need to see if I can grab some supplies in town as w-well. But, if I get up early enough, o-or--" He looks to Kuri. "If'n the harpers could get me the necessary scribing components over night, I-I should be able to add the spell to my book and be more free to cast it. A-and if they can provide some sort of kit filled with props and disguises, th-then all the better."

(OOC: Alternatively, if DM is willing to say some time during the day was spent acquiring the necessary spell scribing components, I'd be all for it and will deduct my gold.)

It could work, I for myself I am a good cook and a good healer: a caravan might be in need of that

(Ok, Retro, Nobody, and Kissa you had a chance to stumble into a magic shop/general store, while spying on the cult in Waterdeep, refresh your supplies, components. they had 5 50gp healing potions They also had a hat of disguise for sale, for (roll 5d100 for price)   

"Accommodations have been paid for tonight, for Gattarra and Kuri, I suggest, you get some rest, so you can head out early, I'll go inform Leosin." Rudy flies off, and out of the Golden Harp. 

Fargen likes the idea of some of the newcomers getting hired.  "You may have luck where we failed.  I can shadow behind."  

Fargen still has some gold, he figures he'll upgrade his mount and find a warhorse (400 gp), chain shirt barding (200 gp), and a lance (10 gp) in the morning.  "Maybe I'll be a traveling knight..." Fargen adds with a chuckle.

 (OOC: Well that's too rich for my blood. Lol. The most Nobody could put towards the hat is 50 gp, and that's assuming he doesn't buty a healing potion)

"W-with Kissa here as you're squire, perhaps? No wait! Uhm, as your-" Nobody snaps his fingers a couple of times, before going "Ah hah!" as an idea hits him. "P-perhaps as bard seeking but to record your journey, and, uh, spread w-word of your many deeds!" The tiefling suggests with a snort. "S-something to consider. B-but in any event, I-I should head to my room now and get started on inscribing this spell right away." He said, then turned to Kuri & Gattara. "A-a pleasure again to have made your acquaintance, and here's to a, uhm, fruitful future." Nobody raises his cup to the pair, and with a smile, downs his drink before he and Yanda departed from the dining area.  

.... Unless others had more for them before their departure, of course.

Fargen has enough gold to cover Nobody.  He counts out 200 gp  "Let's get the hat.  You never know when one of us might need it.  The dead can't spend their gold."

Kissa looks somewhat dubious of the plan but has little to offer herself.....though she ventures that she could shadow the caravan easily without being caught...

(OOC: Fargen was not there at the time the shop/hat was discovered. But, if DM is fine with a bit of retroactive gifting of gold, then by all means!)

I'm fine with it, just say that you run back too the shop finding it still open, then come right back, before you get mugged! You'll be ready, for the next round of, Wagon Train. 

Btw the hat is a dark purple, French musketeer style with a peacock plume.    

(OOC: Hm~ I'm getting strong Jarlaxle vibes, and really hoping someone DIDN'T pawn off his hat to nobody!)

"Hat? I didn't... wait, d-did I--oh! Right. When I was explaining the whole the weird alley thing *ahem* A-anyways, uhm... th-thanks, Fargen. I, uhh, woof, oh goodness, I should probably go g-grab it then! And m-may Lady of Luck favor! U-uh! Again, uh, pleasures 'n all that!" At that, Nobody hustles out of the dining room even quicker to try and reach the shop in time! But once he had the item paid for and in hand, he takes no chances and departed under a invisibility enchantment. Not that doesn't stop him hurrying all the same!
