"I guess it's back to regular trail rations for a while." Nobody murmurs while staring down at his bowl, contemplating between pouring it out or feeding it to Yanda just to confirm Jamna's words. That is to say he hadn't trusted the gnome, but observing the results of such an experiment could yield more clues about the poisoner. Ultimately, the tiefling shook his head in dismissal of the line of thought, and took some of his trail rations to much on for a bit.
If the spur is ever pointed out, Nobody uses as spoon to fish around in his own bowl until he finds something similar, then conjures a spectral dragon's hand about to hold it out for him while he carefully studied the spur.
"I-I guess in the meantime if anyone ask, we should pretend someone mixed some herbs or what not that's a bit too much for, uhm... some of our allergies? J-just a thought"

Fargen takes the spur. "Divination can do more than extend ones senses. I will prepare my spells accordingly..."
Fargen walks over to see how Kissa is recovering from the last battle. He touches her elven chain and grants his Blessing of the Forge, "You took some nasty wounds last fight. Moradin's blessing might serve you better than me."
Blessing of the Forge
At the end of a long rest, you can imbue magic into a weapon or armor by touching a nonmagical version. Until your next long rest or you die, the object grants a +1 bonus to either AC or attack and damage rolls. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Kissa nodded to Fargen she was greatly disturbed by the idea of someone trying to 'spike' their food but figured she at least could live off the land if need be.
As she muses over how close they came to death she recalls the Mrart-Mrart that haunts the boundaries of campfires in her homeland, formless and cold.....a harbinger of death but one with a useful trick if one knows how to draw upon it.
Before setting out, Fargen takes a ride with his horse along the caravan. He calls upon Moradin's divination to sense other spurs like the one in his possession. He concentrates while searching the caravan for any additional "spurs", trying to identify the group or person who might be carrying more.
He joins the party after his search. "I will check in with our contact, to inform them of the 'Road House' and listen for new orders."
Fargen casts Sending and delivers the message to Leosin Erlanthar"The cultists are heading to Road House north of Waterdeep. Cover likely compromised. Any new orders?"
After the spell completes, Fargen uses his pearl of power to recover the 3rd level spell slot

"It isn't natural, I'll give it that. A-and just by the look on your face before, you didn't pick up on more. In that case, it's either a warning, or whoever made or conjured it can easily do so again." Nobody mentions to the party. "E-either way, it's, uhm, n-n-not the best sign. N-not that wasn't already obvious." At that, the tiefling frowned a bit. But without further ideas to offer, and now more leery than ever over the group being possibly watched, he quietly resolves to save his original plan of turning either someone invisible or Yanda at the very least for a bit more direct spying for when the caravans stop again completely for the day, or the following morning.
His thoughts then drift to the roadhouse next if/had Fargen ever mentioned it to the party, and towards trying to recall everything he could about the location, having had to pass through at least once on his way originally down Neverwinter.
(Sorry about my lack of posting, I guess, I could blame it on the holidays)
Nobody has heard of road construction that way, but nothing about a road house
The next few days nothing happens, no more information is gleamed. The wagon train makes its way across a bridge to a small walled town called Daggerford
Arriving in town Thufir says, "About damn time! This gruel on the road and things in it has me needing some drink! I'm going to go drown myself in some ale for a day or so. If you can't wake me just let me sleep." He then marches off to the nearest pub.

To Stormbringer: Dems do be the breaks sometimes. Also this is probably a silly question, but do our characters need to particular worry about resupply on rations/feed with the assumption our employers had us covered there? Or we good on that point?
With little more to offer by way of any advance warnings(aside from the construct tidbit of course), Nobody contented himself with settling into routine and ultimately not following through any extracurricular spying over the next few days. What with there not being much a need anyways given Fargen's far more safer method.
Although it wouldn't be until the group arrived in Daggerford that the tiefling finally breathes a sigh of relief after so many days of tension. "U-uh, as you wish Thufir. Though I hope you don't get too, uhm, plastered, as it were. As we still have a fair ways to go after all." He calls after the dragonborn despite his request likely falling on deaf ears. Nevertheless, a smile briefly lights up his face, before he looks to Fargen as Kissa too is distracted making her own inquirers with the locals. "I-It's probably a long shot, but I'm gonna ask around the market place. S-see if any other travelers passing through from the north c-can gives a heads up on what to expect. Maybe even they spotted a dragon or two."

Kissa finds one draft horse willing to talk instead of consuming newly bought molasses "My name is Willllbur, how may I help you."
" Kissa is me. So, tell me all the things you see the two legs doing after the sun goes down.", she rewarded each piece of information with apple slices as they went.
Fargen dismounts and is happy to be off the road, even for a time. "Now where did our cultist friends go? I wonder if they will make contact with any other cultists here..."
"Wh-what? I thought they had no plans to act until they reached-..." Nobody pauses and glances around warily while trying to spy anyone paying too close attention to him and Fargen. Yanda does much the same for his shoulder. Although whether this was done moreso out of usual monkey business or in a genuine attempt to aid the wizard was anyone's guess.
The camp is set up, the cultist keep to themselves, maybe they have enough supplies, the day turns into night, Jemna during dinner "I've gotoo answer the call of nature." she says excusing herself, and heads into the nearby woods.
Thufir doesn't return to camp, the towns gates are closed at night.
Fargen wakes and wonders where Thufir went. During Kissa or Nobody's watch, he takes a walk about the town casting Locate Object to find Thufir's magic glaive.
(I know OOC this may be futile, just wanted to add some realism)
Nobody nods and bids Jemna goodbye with an offhanded wave. It's only a second or two later that he goes, "Oh shoot! Uhh.. mn... K-kissa, uh. Don't take this the wrong way, but uhm... when you're, uh, people travel for a long bit, do, uh... Do those of the female persuasion such as yourself usually go with another when the 'call' comes? You know, t-t-to watch each others back while out on the road. O-or are you guys like dragonborns and usually pretty self-assured 'bout all that sorta thing?" Nobody asks of the Tabaxi during supper(his own still since the warning last time consisting of personal rations restocked in town). Mostly to keep his mind distracted from the missing Thufir.

"Well, I wouldn't want to be rude, but... yea. Just in case. But, uh, probably do it on the, uhh, how do they say? The Down lows?" Nobody looks between the Tabaxi and Dwarf with a hopeful look. But even before they can answer he adds, "O-or, y-y-you know, be discrete, I guess. I've heard some people are nervous, uhm... poopers -- A-and doesn't hesitate to call for us if there's trouble." The tiefling says with the winged monkey at his side nodding along in agreement.

Kissa enquired at the various temples, it was always good to note which Ancestors and Beings peoples worshipped or revered.
She also used a combination of Speak with Animals and Animal Friendship to get an idea from the draft animals what each wagon and cart was up to.
