"On you anything looks lovely Aithne." Aelyn says modestly and politely.
"Yes Makyra, please keep a close watch on Allison, I think he went that way." Aelyn says to the annoying spirit with a smirk, pointing to the Biblioplex entrance. "Meanwhile this musician will go on making friendly gestures which may or may not be interpreted as flirting. From where I come it would be much the same and only natural in fraternizing. And yes, this bard will always be up to something, how boring he would be if he was not."
"Yes I knew you longed for something to lighten up your rather somber attire Arvol." Aelyn answers with a warm smile, looking at Arvol's long black coat. "Yes, some invention that will clean clothes no doubt. Not sure how she will take care of that right here though?"He says, looking curiously over at Ambre.
"Well thank you."Aelyn says to the bespectacled orc with a bow. "To the Amphitheater then." He says to the others with a smile, trying to make sure they don't loose anyone else as they move on, hoping that Hendrix will catch up with them eventually.
Arvol agrees with Aelyn after hearing the advice from the orc. "Yes, let's get quickly to the amphitheater!" He then glances over to the orc, "Thanks." He is ready to go, though he waits to make sure Aithne and Ambre are ready as well.
"No, don't think so, Allison already left, remember." Aelyn chuckles. "As for me, I find your comments rather entertaining actually." He says smiling, with a bow at Makyra.
Arvol laughs at the comment from Makyra. "You are just feeling left out because he didn't give you any flowers!" He quickly snatches the flowers from his head and puts them on top of the statue. "Now you are part of the team! The colors clashed with my outfit anyway." He quickly turns to Aelyn, "Though I did really appreciate them." He gives him a smile.
"Thanks Arvol." Aelyn says returning his smile, and then he turns to Makyra again. "And I'm sorry I didn't make you a wreath Makyra, but you look gorgeous in that." He says smiling widely.
Ambre pulls out the now broken disk, looking at it for a moment before pulling it apart. The disk appears to have been made out of several layered together, though it doesn't turn into anything in this moment. Ambre looks a little disappointed, but waves it over the grass stains, cleaning them up. "There you go! Need to fix this little guy still, but it looks like the sigils still work at least!"
"Left out?! I could hardly care less about Allison's dying plant wreaths, and - wait, Flutegrin, don't you dare put that on my... Oh, brilliant. Now I've got flowers on my head. Marvelous. Save your praise, Allison. I will not be swayed by your charms!"
Arvol cannot help but laugh even louder at Makyra's displeasure. "Oh yes! We really must keep Makyra with us as part of the team. She's a great companion, right 'Allison'?" He continues laughing even as the group continues
"Yes, I'm sure Allison would agree."Aelyn comments smiling, seemingly pleased with seeing Arvol laughing. "So, what will you all be performing at the opening night then?" He asks the others as they make their way to the Ampitheater. "And how's your singing voice Makyra."
Aithne frowned and formed a quick spell sign with her fingers, bringing the Mage Hand-- and Makyra along with it-- down into her hands. She held the statuette to eye-level and said in a somber tone, "You know... The scholars of Strixhaven thought highly enough of you to preserve your knowledge for the benefit of all future generations. I don't think having your likeness preserved as a doll really compares to that. I find you far more intriguing."
She gently brushed a finger over Makyra's remaining horn and added, "And the bard is Aelyn. He's my friend and I wish you would consider being kinder to him." Carefully, she removed the crown of flowers from the statuette and looped the ring of blossoms a few times around her own wrist. Now she had a bracelet of flowers in addition to those adorning her hair. With that done, she released Makyra, sending the figure back into the air over her shoulder with the aid of Mage Hand.
"Thank you." Aithne smiled at Ambre, examining her robes and finding no evidence of grass stains remaining. "You've really been extremely generous. I know I'm not exactly, ah, coordinated," She cleared her throat self-consciously and said ruefully, "But truly, you're not required to clean up after me. I'm quite used to damp sleeves and ink blotches." A slight smile, then, "Though I do enjoy getting to see your inventions. They're genius, truly. I'd love to know what else you've invented."
Realizing she was falling behind, she dipped a quick curtsy to the orc who'd assisted them. The gesture was only vaguely recognizable--accompanied as it was by a graceless bob and a lack of skirts-- but Aithne didn't think much of it in the moment. Instead, she drifted out of the gardens and back into the Biblioplex proper, already missing the sunlight and greenery. Perhaps in the future she'd bring her books and study materials here. It might make for a nice change of scenery on occasion.
"Why surprised?" Aithne responded, genuinely curious. "You seem like a very, um, talented inventor. And your machines are very clever. Do you usually have difficulties with them?"
Arvol looks at Aelyn, "You think they'll make us do a play or something for this last one? If that is the case they better just provide us with scripts or something!"
Aithne inhaled sharply, catching Arvol's comment to Aelyn. "Oh. I hope not. I really, really hope not." She bit her lip, clasping her hands together in a nervous gesture. "I may, um, choose to forgo that challenge if that's the case..."
"Aithne, I've not got a bit of talent at acting - or really anything artistic. But I'm sure Aelyn here will be perfect at it! He can just take all the speaking parts and we can be background props." Arvol says. "Got to at least give it a try though, right?" he adds, encouragingly. "Ambre and Makyra too!"
"You're the smart one Arvol, but the clue said something about us maybe becoming stars at opening night, right? Sounds to me like we should perform something to get that last prize, but I've been wrong before of course." Aelyn says, still embarrased over his tragic attempt to create art at the art gallery. "What do you think ladies?" He says, turning to Ambre and Aithne. "Perhaps I'm just interpreting the clue as I would prefer it again." He says, slouching a bit now, feeling perhaps he should leave the problem solving to the students with the brains.
"Oh, not all of them," Ambre says as they walk. "I have a... 70-30 track record with things breaking or not working as intended, but it's getting closer to 60-40!"
"I would really rather not perform." Aithne shrank visibly, looking pale at the very idea. "The idea of having to do anything at all in front of a crowd is, uh..." She swallowed and continued in a quiet tone, "...utterly terrifying. Maybe I could read a script to fulfill the requirement?" She sounded vaguely hopeful at the idea, but her weak tone made it clear that she didn't really believe that would be an option. "Otherwise, I'll happily take the role of the, um, audience member."
"Oh, don't worry Aithne, you'll be fine, we will be your only audience I'm sure, and you will never have a more appreciating audience." Aelyn says to the aasimar with an encouraging smile.
