Urzmaktok smiles. "Understood. Well, thank you all anyways. And best of luck with your hunt!"
You all make your way from the Book Gardens to the nearby Student and Alumni Art Gallery. It is a crisp-looking room with white walls and columns that stretch from floor to ceiling. Displayed on and within the walls are various works of art, from paintings to statues to mosaics and more. There are some benches available for viewers to sit and admire the art. A few Prismari students, dressed in their red and blue uniforms, are in the space, some cleaning while others are examining the art pieces with studious intent. Seated at a table about midway into the gallery is a young elf man with bright green hair, tanned skin, and dressed in a first year's uniform. He appears to be using magic to create a statuette composed entirely of hard light fractals. Draped down the front of the table is a sign that says "Calling All Creators - Join the Distinguished Society of Fine Artists today!"
"Just think, one day we could be in one of these paintings..." Robin says as she walks around the room, studying the various paintings around the chamber."Does anyone know what we need to do here?" She asks the group as she moves from canvas to canvas.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Maybe something to do with the alumni paintings specifically?” Jedavii remarks. He stands in front of one of them, mimicking the pose of it. He looks around the gallery for anything of interest. Perception: 20
He also approaches the table, marveling at the fractal statue. He conjures a thumbs up made of its own fractals (mage hand). “Really cool job, there. What’s your name?”
Hark joins Jedavii near the the green-haired elf. "Agreed. This statuette is impressive. As you're likely aware, we're working our way through the first-year's scavenger hunt. Is there anything we ought to know about this place?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"You think the paintings?" Robin asked with a glance over at the others. She starts to pay a bit closer attention as she searches the paintings for clues...
Canon glances again at the clue. "I guess we're supposed to be inspired?" After looking at a few of the statues, he takes a seat on one of the benches—perhaps some works have been arranged to be viewed from that angle.
You all work together and find a portrait of some older Prismari students - the placard next to the painting suggests these are the graduates of a class from a few years back. It reads: "At Strixhaven, we are all inspired."
Below the placard is a small lever. It's almost like it was not there before... until you read the placard. How strange!
Meanwhile, the elf looks up at Jedavii and Hark. "Oh, salutations! Thank you, I've been hard at work on it for the past... fifteen minutes or so? I did get up to go to the bathroom at one point, so maybe it's more like thirteen. But yes, thank you so much! As for the scavenger hunt solution... Well, I see you guys have already found it! A lot quicker than my group this morning, I must say. We were all too distracted by the art work. Anywho, would either of you be interested in joining the Distinguished Society of Fine Artists?"He says, a smile spread across his handsome face. "Oh, but where are my manners? Cadoras Damellowar, first year, at your service."
Robin shrugs and simply pulls the lever. She is going on a fairly big high of excitement, as this has just been an amazing day so far, so doesn't even consider there could be something bad about pulling the lever.
Once Robin pulls the lever, there's no explosion, no pitfall trap, or anything bad - just a *clunk* from behind the painting and a box drops out of the wall. Inside are five narrow, pointed flags: one bearing the colors and seal of Lorehold, two bearing the colors and seal of Silverquill, and two bearing the colors and seal of Qunadrix. These are Strixhaven pennants.
"Hey, look!" Robin calls out as she pulls the pennants from the drawer. She hands them out to the others. "Aren't these amazing?" She says as she does so. "Simply amazing." She repeats after getting done and waving her own pennant in the air a bit.
"Ah, a mascot and now a pennant! I feel my school spirit growing by the minute,"remarks Hark.
In reply to Candoras, Hark says, "Thank you, but I am hoping to find a group...a club of some sort...that is interested in matters of religion: deities, pantheons, and the related lore. Hopefully, I'll stumble across a few others who share my interest."
"Oh, in that case you should check out Student-Mages of Faith! They're a new club started up by a couple first years from my orientation group, Melywthorne and Shuvadri. I think they've got a table set up in the Activities Center with the rest of the clubs," Cadoras says, reaching under the table and producing a jar of pickled onions. He unscrews the lid and pops a couple in his mouth.
"Hey, I'd like to check out some clubs." Robin says with a grin to the others. "Anyone want to head over to the activities center with me? I'm looking for something to do with history, maybe a group that likes to get together to delve deeper into various topics."
Jedavii nods. "Can't say I'm too good at art beyond finger painting. But I love these, and hope your group makes some good stuff! Nice meeting you, Cadoras!"
To Robin, he replies: "I'd love to go. Looks like there's a lot of neat stuff so far, but none of it is stuff that I'm really good at."
With all of your scavenger hunt items gathered, you decide to make a quick stop by the Student Activities Center to look into registering for some extracurricular activities. You enter the Center and find that it is a decent-sized multipurpose room, but today it is filled with tables, stands, and signs advertising various clubs and societies.
Robin spots a table for the Dragonsguard Historical Society, manned by a male loxodon wearing ornate gilded plate armor and boasting several golden piercings in his large, elephant ears. Hark clocks the location of the Student-Mages of Faith's table, where a large male dryad and a female owlin reminiscent of a barn owl are accepting new recruits. Canon finds the Strixhaven Show Band Association's spot; it seems a tan-skinned woman with long dark hair and several piercings is running the operation there. And Jedavii discovers the table for the Strixhaven Iron-Lifters Society off in the corner. Sitting at it is a stocky dwarf woman performing bicep curls with some dumbbells.
Jedavii smiles as he sees the assembled cuddly creatures. He turns back to the orc. "We'll be seeing you during classes, then! Take care, Urzmaktok!"
With the plants done, he nods to the group. "To the art gallery!"
Urzmaktok smiles. "Understood. Well, thank you all anyways. And best of luck with your hunt!"

Marius nods. "I'll come, although I probably don't have time for another club."
"Yes, I'm hoping there'll be a music club of some sort," Canon agrees.
