"Good on ya. The forest is tough these days. The Loots a bit better but the coin might be a bit light. If there's adventure to be had let us know. We've been waiting for the right sort to come along. Ah....If you have room that is. Don't want to bust up a finely tuned group of seasoned folk."

(awesome, If you are stepping out again, I would like to go with you guys XD)
*Hadrian motioned to the serving person to bring a mug to Ruaccek who stepped towards him*
"It is hearty to see more adventurers in the tavern than before. Come sit with me and wait for more company."
*He drank his grog trying to shake his tiredness out. As the mud on his boots dries and flakes off, so does the weariness of travelling from his mind flakes off as the prospect of adventure starts stirring there instead. His usual toothy grin starts to creep on his face brightening the world-weary scary visage.*
Gordon sees the gathering of adventurers that indicates an impending expedition, and says, "If you're heading out into the forest, I'd be happy to join you. It's the most exciting thing to do around here, after all."
Zavier also comes over. "I would be willing to accompany you on an expedition. Alternatively, I would be willing to buy the bones of the creatures you encounter, if you would transport them back. I need more materials for my army."
I can run either or both characters, depending on what the other expedition members want. I probably shouldn't run both if there are more than four other players, because rewards start being spread thin with a lot of characters.

"The Doomvault... Probably full of unicorns and rainbows." -An imaginary quote
Hadrian spots an old friend who seem to be pretty content on the huge chunk of pork and giant tankard (at least for Tommy) of ale on the table. It did not seem like he was eating but more like he was breathing it in.
"Ahoy Tommy, Ya sure you ain't drowning in all that meat?", Hadrian finished his grits and signed if he (and his current companion Ruaccek) can join the table.
"Looking for work. What are your plans?", He emptied the hot grog into his maw and felt the concoction drop into his gullet revitalizing all the organs in between.
Tommy's eyes go wide with excitement then fear as he graps for his ale. Taking a swig then a deep breath
Sit down sit down. How yall been. Feel like it's been an age. Tommy will tell the others of his trip home to the jungle and orders the group food and ale.
Yep almost didn't come back meet myself a lass but alas the call of the dorestcwas too great. Not to mention after adventuring for treasure with you lot being a simple woodsman again was just too boring
But yes looking for work always. Yall headed out soon?
Hadrian tapped Tommy's back (gently keeping his brutish strength in check).
"It has been an age old friend, a lass? well, you will need to regale us with your tale. What makes you think she will not wait as you raid the forest a bit more?" He gave his friend a smirk
"If any would be attracted to this brawn of mine (never mind the face), I would have atleast ask!" He gave a hurr hurr kind of laugh as he tease his friend.
"But yes, work, as soon as we can find one. I would be glad to have your company once again. Have you seen our dragonkin fighter lately?"
Jetsam walks in about now, tall as ever and recovered from all of them nasty injuries. He grins as much as a dragon face can when he sees Hadrian. “Hadrian! Where’d you come from? Good to see you again.” He too sits down and orders some of that nummy food.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Hadrian did a double-take expecting that his mind was playing tricks as he just spoke of the same dragonborn, looking for him. His grin grew wider and asks for the tavern person to bring more ale.
"There! Lo and behold! Speak and he appears!" He gave his friend a tap in the back as he sat down and left him a bit to settle down.
"Work has dragged me back in. I was investigating a very large lake in the middle of the forest for a while. It was very interesting and there was a lot of fight to be had there. There seems to be a structure at the bottom of the lake but I am no fish. In the end, I just came back."
He was not paying much attention to his friend's clothes and armor not to mention injuries but it is more prominent now that he was able see him better.
"Which.... war.... did you come back from? I have seen you worse but you look like you need more than a bandage."
Jetsam snorts. “He asked if you and Darbakh were my slaves. He also said something about wanting information on someone in the city so he could control him?”
So ya Jetsam, Darbakh and I went into the woods where we found a lava lake. Got ambushed by some bandits. Beat em and caught one to get info on their hideout. Got attacked by a lava worm. Fell into the underdark and wandered into an underdark dragon lair. So you know a Tuesday in this crazy forest.
Where you find your lake I've not cone across a normal one yet
A table of adventurers wander over. "Hail, If you are planning a expedition one or two of us could join you if you have room? That was likely a tough expedition you guys came back from. Let us know."
They hang out and share experiences and by a round.

A table full of adventurers cheers you.

Tommy gets back to town and goes to the market to sell off some good and to see what's offered.

Je then heads to the tavern for a drink and a hot meal
Having made a pretty penny Tommy is eating a large helping of ham and drinking to shelf ale.
Hadrian spots an old friend who seem to be pretty content on the huge chunk of pork and giant tankard (at least for Tommy) of ale on the table. It did not seem like he was eating but more like he was breathing it in.

"Aye, that hits the spot. I am wide awake."
Tommy's eyes go wide with excitement then fear as he graps for his ale. Taking a swig then a deep breath

"Hey Jetsam". Tommy signals for another round of ale and food.
"We fell into the underdark on our way to raid a bandit camp. Met up with a dragon lizard thing. What was that thing saying by the way forgot to ask?"
Jetsam snorts. “He asked if you and Darbakh were my slaves. He also said something about wanting information on someone in the city so he could control him?”

Oh....

Hadrian listens intently in astonishment as he hears about lava worms and the underdark. Not to mention another foray with dragons.
He shook his head as he prepares to answer Tommy.
"That would be some ways east. It was through a flooded cavern and into a valley that had the lake surrounded by mangroves."
He was still reeling from the talk of dragons and wyrms so he spoke in a droning trance.
"It was home to Trologdytes and surrounded by Sahuagins. The structure underwater is probably a Sahuagin temple for worship."
He scratched his chin as he continued on. "I was assisting a historian who was studying the newly discovered structure."
Mmm that cool. Wish I could breathe underwater. Be a fun place to explore.
A table of adventurers wander over. "Hail, If you are planning a expedition one or two of us could join you if you have room? That was likely a tough expedition you guys came back from. Let us know."

I've got a lead on a potential job. How many are in your group?
