Hadrian touched his chin and started rubbing the stubble as he thought about joining Tommy in his job or offering the job he has to the group. He wanted to do the job Tommy has but the one he is working on is urgent. He gave an exasperated sigh and gave up on an underdark dragon adventure.
"Aye, no underdark for me then... I have a job too if yours is not too urgent... The historian I was helping is planning on going back to that temple, this time with a spell that would allow him and his cohorts to swim into it. He also wanted to map it to make an official document."
"Job is twofold. guide and guard. quite unfortunately, we have no idea what to expect in there so it will be very dangerous."
(I would say pick one that you want to RP, Cwreando)
The half-orc reached into his pack and produced a parchment map that he drew recently. He briefly looked at everyone before trying to give an excuse.
"hrmm, the details on the map have not been drawn yet... I just did a rough draft..." Embarrassment seem to wash over him briefly as he stretch out the unfinished map across the table.
"Some ways through the east gate, into the forest and a cavern... The cavern seem to get flooded depending on the season and the weather making the trek very dangerous."
He traced his fingers through the burned path on the parchment which shows the location of the underwater temple and the lake it resides in.
"Be here tomorrow morning and I will consider that the team agrees."
Gordon steps forward. "Do you need another, or are you full?"
Zavier repeats his offer to either accompany the expedition or buy materials for necromancy.

Pronouns: he/him/his.
My posting scheduled is irregular: sometimes I can post twice a week, sometimes twice a day. I may also respond to quick questions, but ignore harder responses in favor of time.
My location is where my character for my home game is (we're doing the wild beyond the witchlight).
"The Doomvault... Probably full of unicorns and rainbows." -An imaginary quote
(Wow that was quick I hadn’t even done the plot hook in character)
Shortly before Tommy does this, while everyone is eating breakfast at the table, a magic scroll appears suspended via the Sending spell. It’s readable from all angles and slowly unrolls to read: “On a recent commission to send an adventuring party to the abyss, something went awry and the planar gateway would not close. As a result, monsters have entered my tower and are now running amok. I am willing to pay top coin to any adventurers who can clear it out.”
Kaladin Salazar, Arcane Edge.
P.S. Please hurry. I’m trapped in the top level and can’t get to the bathroom.
(With a successful dc10 history check, anyone can remember that Arcane Edge is a tower a few miles from town that has a planar portal that adventurers sometimes use to access the abyss, and Kaladin is the wizard owning it.)
Jetsam reads through and nods “Why not? Should only take a day and if Hadrian’s deal can wait I see no reason to not check it out.”

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
A half orc steps into the common unobtrusively, dressed in woodland brown and green, he sets his pack down in corner leaning his bow and quarterstaff. He asks the barmaid for the hungry orc special and a pitcher of ale, observing the crowd whilst methodically working his way through the bacon, sausage, eggs, taters, and fruit placed before him. A magic, not just yet, perhaps another time...
(Talked to Cocozan and he’ll probably be joining us) Jetsam takes his eyes off the strange scroll and waves the newcomer over to the table he and Tommy are at. “Hail, adventurer. What might I call you? My name is Jetsam.”
