A 6ft tall Aasimarian makes his way down the stairs from his room to see if there is anything going on. Looks around and says, "The name is Ral. If anyone is putting together a little adventure into the forest, I'd be game to help out if you need a strong arm."
OOC - I have run some forest adventures myself 5 so far....Some solo and some with others running it...I'm actually in one now with another player/admin. If someone wants to run it that's great. If you need me to run one first I can but it'll take me a bit to put it together. It won't be too flashy though.
ooc - Ral is a 3rd level Aasimar Barbarian (Zealot)
Darbakh finally turns on his stool to face the others. “Smudge, if you’re willing to buy a drink, perhaps you ought to do so for Mr. Ral, here. It seems we might have opportunities to discuss.” His owl shakes its head ‘no,’ but the duergar ignores it.
Ral puts his hands together and rubs them together in anticipation of getting a beverage if offered by smudge, "I wouldn't mind a tankard of ale if you don't mind. Smudge. You folks looking to get into some trouble I'm wagering. This place has a bit to offer all types. I think I'll put something together if you folks want to come along. I've found good friend can be made once you've shared an adventure or two. You can get the measure of a person if you know what I mean. Who's all in?"
OOC - I'll start working on an adventure for us.

Smudge happily orders 4 ales - he decided that although he had never read of an owl accepting an ale, he had also never read of one decline an ale, so decided to buy it one just in case and to take notes for future reference. He slide a silver coin over to the bar keep and took the ales himself to the darbhak’s table so the 3+1 could discuss plans. (Ooc- thanks Ral for offer!ing!)
A slightly disheveled hafling enters the bar. He slides a gold coin to the bar keep and says, “Your thickest steak pie, strongest drink and comfiest bed, please.” He was here a few weeks ago but has been busy adventuring, so those requests were much desired and well deserved. He looked around to see who was in the tavern.
For those really paying attention to those patrons at the inn would notice a form in the back corner and a smile forms when he sees the halfling enter the room
after the halfling receives his food. A low dragon roar can be heard from under his table and when the halfling (likely surprised by the sound ) peeks under the table an image of a small red dragon appears on the table.
The dragons voice say “smudge I am hungry” and then disappears as if never there
Smudge shakes his head at the odd interruption and drains his drink. “Another round, please. And some for these fine gentlemen,” he adds, pointing at Ral and company while sliding another gold coin over. “Hey Ral, great to see you again! Can you help me with my notes about our encounters?”

"I think so. If I can remember it that is", Ral replies. He takes a drink of some fine wine. "Ahhhh that hits the spot."

Smudges penmanship is excellent but his drawing skills are not. In fact, they are scarcely better than stick figures and squiggles mixed together. However, he is pleased so says, “Now that was an adventure. Know of any other opportunities to get out and about?”
Ral buys his available magic items sells stuff and buys other stuff as well He takes a rest from adventuring once he's finished settling this with his new friends and answering any questions they may have.

Maybe someone else will run a forest adventure. Watch the play by post thread for new adventures being run by DMs or run one yourself. Any that feel capable to run and adventure, if they have time can run them. Running a dmless is different than the ddb playable adventures. The dmless I think have the ability to have the bar raised a little. Grin
