Tola realizes others are watching them. The small dragon raises its paw and says. " Wait! I know what you are thinking. But this isn't what it looks like! I can explain!" Atoh is crying. "I mean, Once my partner cools down… " She is crying. " She will translate… " She is STILL crying. "Aghhhh! Why you guys don't speak draconic! I know it's pronunciation is tricky. But it's a cool language! And it's the dragon's language! … Haaa, I guess I have to learn common tongue soon"
A few minutes later….
Atoh finally calms down. She wipes her eyes and blows her nose with a handkerchief. " I, I'm sorry. I was a bit panicked. …'' She explains to her friends about her dream and the great darkness in it. " As a Dragon Speaker, I share a lot of things with my dragon. We share our emotion, power and even some personalities. But we have never shared our dreams until now. Which means… " Thegirl clenches her fist, shivering in terror. "… The Dark One in my dream isn't just an illusion, distant future or unknown past. It's really. And it wants to kill me. It wants to kill us all! "
Chuba isn't sure how to response to Atoh, though she wants to comfort her. She looks at Atoh with a look of concern on her face for a long few seconds.
"Will reunifying Crystal with shard help defeat Dark One? Perhaps our mission not only saves world, but saves Atoh too?"
"I'm very sorry, Atoh," Brevon says sincerely from his wagon seat. "Dreams can bring us the greatest joys and the greatest sorrows. This, though, sounds like more than sorrow. So you say you dreamed there was a something within the Nothing. And it, it looked at you? How did you feel then? How do you feel now?"
"I don't know,"he answers honestly to Chuba. "I do certainly so pray. All we can do is our best, finish our quest, and hope that the Lady of Light sees us blessed."
When the party gets moving, Chuba rides in the back to cover their flank, her eyes scanning the horizon. Occasionally, she rides up near Atoh to check on her. She doesn't say anything, only checks that Atoh isn't crying or clearly sad. Chuba thinks no one will notice her doing this, but she isn't hiding it well.
When there are breaks in traveling or setting up, tending to, or tearing down camp, Chuba continues to work on her strength and toughness training. She would start to look a little masochistic to the others if they didn't know she was training. The bruises form more slowly and heal more quickly over the many hours of training as they travel north.
Jek was happy to hear that Tola was not trying to eat Atoh. And Atoh isn't crying anymore, that's good! "Oh... Dreams... And you say it's real. Oh, that isn't good. Well, I suppose it was bound to happen, we are trying to stop the darkness. It's understandable that it doesn't want that to happen."
As they continue on there journey, Jek will continue his pranks and persuasive support of his new friends. Some pranks that happen:
Jek will make a silent image of himself sitting next to Brevon on the wagon. It will slowly grow bigger. Once it's the same size as Brevon (or if Brevon notices earlier), it will make it deflate and disappear.
If Atoh and Tola play there target game again, at some point Jek will make a second Tola appear and split off going in another direction.
Jek will otherwise try to stay beside the Wagon on Iron-Hoove.
"... and that is how 'tater tots became the preferred currency in that village." Brevon finishes telling his story to Jek. "Well, you're being awfully quiet."
" Thank you everyone… Thank you so much. " Atoh is quite touched by her friends. None of them shows distrust to her words or makes fun of her like her family back in her home land. After eating breakfast and a lot of cheeses, Atoh feels much better and continues their journey.
@Chuba
At first Atoh was nervous around Chuba, but gradually she got used to the giant. Two had a lot of conversations about Atoh's homeland and culture about her people. Tola attends their girls talk and starts learning about common language.
@Jek
Atoh and Tola keep the same training everyday. She blinks her eyes and giggles when Jek makes the illusion of Tola . Because the minor illusion can't create images with sound, soon she realizes it's not her real partner. " Nice try. Can you help me with your magic? It could be helpful if you make some illusion obstacle or target for my training. "
Mantry's Reach lay at the end of Tower Road in the fork of the headwaters of the Fantasia River. The Order of the Phoenix can see the towering sequoia trees beyond the river as they shroud some of the lower peaks of the Dragontail Mountains. Something big calls with a voice from beyond the river, and something else replies.
The town is quiet. Most of the noise in town are from children playing in the streets. A group of young Lizardfolk kick a ball up and down the road that leads right through the middle of town, laughing and chattering as they go. An older fellow, a Halfling, calls after them, shooing them away with a broom and being very grumpy on a doorstep before heading inside.
The waning light of day reveals two bridges that can be seen from this side of town. Both of them are in bad shape, looking like good days are far, far behind them, but its hard to tell what all is wrong with them from this distance in dusk.
The air is fresher here than anywhere they've been so far, cooled by the winds coming down from the mountains where the river begins. It smells clean and pleasant.
Jek looks towards the big calls, trying to figure out what those calls were. (12 Nature roll in discord)
Jek looks at there supplies, then responds to Orin "I don't know where we will sleep, but we only have, what, a weeks worth of supplies left. If we are to travel the Shem, we should get more food and water, at the least. Plus, the people here could let us know if they've heard of any trouble in the Shem."
{Assuming we are heading into town} As they get to the first person they see in town (who ever is first, even if it's a child), Jek will say to them. "Hello, we are the Order of the Phoenix. we have been traveling for some time. Where is a good place that we could rest for the night? We will also need supplies for our journey through the Shem desert." (If needed, 13 persuasion roll in discord)
As the less intimidating members of the Order of the Phoenix interact with the locals and look for lodging, Chuba hangs back by the cart and tries to soften her glares.
Jek realizes that the sound isn't just the call of an animal, but the voice of something big.
"Stranger danger!" The kids scream, and take off running into the heart of the town when the Order approaches them, ignoring questions about inns and temples and so forth.
The town seems pretty quiet otherwise. There isn't anyone in the street. Someone shouts in the distance for a child to come home.
"Um..."Brevon says quietly, and a bit on edge. "I do have the sense that there is a reason the streets are empty as night approaches. We should find some shelter quickly."
Brevon looks for any building that looks to be large, like a public establishment.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The moment the kid screams, Atoh and her dragon move like a beast with two heads. They cover each other's back, looking out for the potential danger. " The last time I visited, the town wasn't like this. Either taking inn or making camp, we have to find what makes people so terrified first."

" The girl and dragon look up to the sky and see how much time is left before the sunset.
