A calm hour of rest later, “I’ll have a look around if I can find the Bitterroot, “ Rizo explains. Having arrived to the location that he divined, he is sure that there must be at least some of the plants around here. He makes a round at the edge of forest and clearing passing each of the huge trees and searching the floor for the light pink flowers. After about half an hour, he finds a small patch and uproots a fair number of Bitterroot plants. He takes care not to disturb the site too much and only takes a small portion of what is growing there with the intent that the patch can recover from his exploitation. When he bundles his harvest carefully, he notices a strange acrid smell on the plants that he finds rather uncommon. Upon closer inspection the Bitterroots' meaty leaves show spots and freckles of brownish coloration. Something isn't right here. In fact the leaves aren't as meaty as they should be, too. Rizo begins a ritual to detect whether his suspicions are confirmed and finds that the entire clearing is affected by a plant disease. Wondering what could be the reason for this he cleanses with another ritual the Bitterroots' patch for now, knowing that he doesn't have the resources for the entire clearing. He ponders if he should return here to investigate more the cause this disease, in any way for now, he just reports this to the party, finishing with "I think there's nothing that I can do about it now, not for such a big area."
(Anytime you want we can roll a d4 to see the number of final threats (I'd say we assume a minimum of 2, though, as we are 5 players). Then, the next player can manage the next threat. Perhaps, DJLongsword, if you'd like? Then, RavenTheRogueWizard and after that we could roll for the honour if that is ok for everyone and if there are more threats anyways.)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
I'll pass along to the next player willing, if that's okay. I'm still a newbie, and I've got stuff happening this weekend that would interfere in me DMing the encounter.

Apologies, very limited access to computer and Internet this weekend, will start the next threat tomorrow.
With the suggestion of at least 2 final threats, I'll roll d4+1, if people disagree with that at least 2 threats, then we can just ignore the +1 modifier.
(Wow, that sounds challenging. On the upside 5 more threats would give a 50% chance to get at least one more short rest, too. How about we go with reverse player order for managing them? This way RavenTheRogueWizard could do two in a row or even combine them in some way.)

Lilgrea has built a small fire, though not lit it yet. She is sitting on a log near it, contemplating how dangerous this forest seems to be, longing to be back at the bar in (relative) safety.

Minty goes into the woods to retrieve his bolts and arrows, spending an inordinate amount of time examining the bodies of the fallen.
Egan takes out a ration and sits down to eat, with Corvina pecking at scraps from his offered palm.
Justin will take a short rest. (No hit dice)

That's cool, no problem. How about you, RavenTheRogueWizard?

I'm ok with that!
Player: Any Good Alignment // DM: Lawful Evil
Rolling for two threats: 22
If they come up as something I think can be combined, I'll do so.
(I forgot it would add them together!)
Wanna roll again? Or just going with 8 and 14?
Player: Any Good Alignment // DM: Lawful Evil
I'll go with the 8 and 14, once I've remembered how to use Inkarnate for maps!
Can everyone please roll Perception, and tell me where you are on this map: Map

Minty perception: 21
Egan is to Justin's left.
Egan's Perception roll: 8
In case it matters, Rizo has advantage on perception rolls related to smell:
Perception, extra roll in case of advantage: 25
