“Hey girls, it’s okay. Kha will take care of you.” Roxaria peers into the night with her darkvision to see if there is any odd movement in the distance, “Something has you spooked still.”
She turns to Kha, “I can’t see a blasted thing. I bet whomever it is that shot arrows is still out there. Look how nervous they are.” Roxaria continues looking out in the distance, especially in the direction griffons might be looking.
"Whoa! Now where did you all come from?" Kha says slowly approaching the griffons. "Take it easy now. Someone sure tried their best at bringing y'all down." The cleric takes a few more cautious steps toward the one looking the most injured with one hand upon his holy symbol and the other extended toward the wounded beast. "Not gonna hurt ya. This should make ya feel a bit better... Mend."
"We should really try to get these arrows out of them so their wounds will heal better," he says to Roxaria.
“Kha, over there.” Roxaria points to the four figures approaching them off in the distance. “We should wake the others.”
She moves towards the tents, “Reginald, Trem. We are about to have company!” Then, she maneuvers herself around the griffons, placing herself between the four unknown figures and the griffons and Kha. She draws her sword and stiletto and, if they get any closer she commands a “Halt! Who are you?”
The 4 figures come closer and you see they are people dressed in thick furs. The leader points to the griffons. "Those are our prey. Now move aside before I cut you down"
Kha heals another one of the griffons then turns to the dwarf. "Lady Elowyn, can you heal up the last one?"
"Well that was a bit rude. Not even a please." Kha sighs and glances back to his companions, before continuing to the leader of the hunters. "Sorry, friends. Not today. I think they will live to fight another day. You all have a chance to do the same." The orc reaches into his pack and tosses a handful of his rations toward the hunters.
"Of course Kha"responds Lady Elowyn as she moves to the 3rd griffon and gently place her hand on its side granting healing energy.
The leader kicks the rations "Look at the size of those Griffons. You know what I can do with the meat, bones and feathers. No this is not an even trade. This is my last warning move aside"2 in the back knock arrows to their bows and the Leader has his hand on the hilt of his sword.
The Griffons feeling better start testing their wings which causes the hunters to tense up.

“I can appreciate that you’re looking for food; however, these griffons are protected creatures right now. Unless we can come to an accord, there will be unnecessary bloodshed. It is too cold to spill anyone’s blood. I’d suggest we all put our weapons aside and discuss the matter inside our tent where it is warmer.”
He reluctantly tells his men to lower there weapons. "I don't know what is there to discuss. We need food for our families and a few rations won't cut it."
“Maybe we can help you find a deer or something other than these majestic beasts.”
Roxaria looks to the group, “I get it. Several rations won’t cut it to feed your families. Surely there are other creatures that you’ve hunted before? I think we’d be willing to help you where we can.”
She looks to the griffons and back to the hunters, “What else have you hunted out here before?”
"Well there is fish beneath the ice. It takes some time, but maybe with your help we can fish enough for our families"The leader looks around appraising the ice's thickness.
The Griffons uses this distractions and takes flight into the air and are soon gone from sight.
One of the hunters starts swearing the leader turns "Its alright these people has kindly volunteered to help us fish"
"First we create a large hole in the ice. Yekol come here"a young man comes closer carrying a heavy net on his back. "We place the net in the water. I need strong arms to help hold the net and to lift it out of the water" He looks off in the distance and points "Then several of your companions will go over there to create small holes from there you need to scare the fish towards the net. You can use your weapons to churn the water" The leader shows you moving his weapon in a circular motion. "Then we pray to the spirits of nature in hopes they gives us plenty a fish"
Roxaria takes the net and dips it into the hole the hunters make in the ice. She grips it tight. “So, I just wait here until the fish come and haul it up? Doesn’t sound terribly difficult.” She states with overconfidence.
She watches as the hunters continue to do their thing.

(Healing word on one of the griffons.)
The griffon shielding the others lets out a chirp as her wounds heal.

"It wasn't meant to be a trade. Just little something to help with, what I bet will be, a temporary loss of your prey this night."

“Of course!” However, Roxaria is beginning to think maybe she will immediately regret this decision.
”How can we assist you?”

Roxaria nods. “Well then, what are we waiting for? Let’s feed your families.”
Roxaria looks at Kha, “Well? Do you want to hold the net or scare the fish into the net?”
The hunters begins digging out a large hole in the ice.
Roxaria takes the net and dips it into the hole the hunters make in the ice. She grips it tight. “So, I just wait here until the fish come and haul it up? Doesn’t sound terribly difficult.” She states with overconfidence.
