(Oh I know, Akyan's just ranting cause he doesn't get it. I have a feeling we are going to fight these vampires whether the characters want to or not.)
Seeing Akayan get increasingly frustrated in a way all too familiar to her, Sheerow flies up to him and puts a hand on his shoulder in reassurance. But the second he mentions The Rightful Queen, every muscle in her body tenses, and she retreats into her own mind. I have a hunch... I just hope it's not true. After a good few minutes of silence from her, she speaks. "I have an idea." Her voice is small, foggy, as if she just came back from the depths of a terrible dream. "An ambush. We get Aaron out of Las Aminour using The Rightful Queen as bait, maybe saying something about surrender or diplomacy or whatever. Then the rest of us hide out somewhere and strike him when he least expects it. That way, we don't have to even deal with vampires. I've heard they can be a bit of a pain." She pauses, half for dramatic effect and half to make sure she's choosing her words correctly.
"As for who Aaron thinks is The Rightful Queen, I have my own theories. Though I'm still not sure---I'm probably overthinking it---it might be Reika because we were sent here when we died. But I think it's more likely to be me, because lately a lot of stuff's been resurfacing from my past that I have absolutely no clue why they're coming up now." She thinks back to the bottle, the hammer. "And remember that rabbit-manager guy, the one that died in front of me for no reason when we were trying to get the tressym? I remember him mentioning something about Parcival having a painting of me somewhere. And then, right before he died he said something about him being a 'fierce contender of my movement.'" She pauses again, then shrugs. "Yeah, it's most likely me. Unless Reika has something else to add, or actually knows what's going on, I'm pretty sure Aaron thinks I'm the Rightful Queen. Though, for the record, I have absolutely no idea why he thinks that, and I didn't start any kind of movement. Akayan, I'm pretty sure you'd know if I did. Which I didn't." She looks around at everyone else nervously, waiting for some sort of reaction to her musings.

"Me? A queen? Please," Rieka snickers, crossing her arms. "No, what you said makes sense, it's probably you, Sheerow. And trust me, I don't know what's going on either. I just took a job for coin, and now I've been thrown into this..this awful situation with no leads and no agency. It's like, every choice I make, every action I take, it means nothing."
She finishes with an expression of deep frustration and sadness, looking around at the others. "Selune help us, it's almost like the Gods themselves aren't on our side."

"I agree. Though I don't believe in a god, it feels like life itself is ignoring what we're doing. But, it's nothing I haven't lived through before." With a nervous chuckle and a tinge of irony mingling with the faux cheeriness in her voice, she continues. "...right. So folks, what are we to do?"

(Trying to reboot the DatEotW campaign, so here goes nothing!)
As you walk down the street, people begin to point and talk excitedly as the party passes them.
One girl runs up to the party, handing them each three gold. “We didn’t think you were real… but you’re here in the flesh. Tell us the story!”

Xo accepts the gold, slowly looking around at the cheerful crowd. "What story?" he asks the girl. _We were on a quest to fight vampires; there is hardly a story to tell,_ he thinks. _We died, wrongfully saving a winged cat. This is so unusual..._
“Tell us the story of Las Aminour!” The girl begs, and other children come over to listen as well.

(My character doesn't know about Las Aminour getting destroyed and Aaron evaporating. Only his clone knows that.)
(But you and your clone have a hive mind, so you would gain a rush of memories as the child says Las Aminour. It appears that you have time travelled into the near future, and found that events you don’t remember have happened and can now remember.)

"Oh, right. Um, you see, I was, somewhere, with a few other bodyguards of Aaron before we knew Aaron was evil, I think, when I heard about this haunted castle that we needed to, well, enter. But then, Aaron said something inaudible due to a bunch of big scary demon machines that were destroying the city. Sadly, everyone died except for me and some other former Aaron bodyguards. I got hit by some shrapnel from the remains of a building which was blasted by one of the machines, and I am pretty sure some of my team got hurt, too. But soon enough, they did something to stop the machines from continuing their attack. The only building left was Aaron's, the one he had stood on the whole time. Unfortunately, I was not there at the location of Aaron's death, but I guess he had dropped his notebook. One of my team's members had taken it. Uhh, yeah I think that is about all I can remember," Xo tells the children.
“Wow, so heroic!” The children shout. As you reach the stables, the stable master allows you horses for his special “hero discount”, along with a war horse to properly carry Xo’s weight.

"Thank you..." says Xo. He does not want horses, and he does not know what to really do with them. The rest of the group does not seem active enough to want the horses, either. Still, it was a very generous gift.
