T’bitha places a hand on Tristan’s wounds again. “Find comfort by the cleansing light of the moon’s rays.” Her hands cover his wounds and from underneath, a warm, deep, red glow, much like the color of a harvest moon, emanates from underneath her hands. The color slowly shifts from red, to a soft pink until it gets lighter and lighter to a cooling, white light that seems to make her hands translucent before it fades away.

T’bitha then does the same to Hadi, placing her hands upon the nasty bite and the warm, red glow fills the wound as she prays and the color shifts to a cooling, white light before it fades away.
Hadi Cure Wounds: 10
After healing Hadi, T’bitha looks to the injured stranger and slowly approaches him to see how badly injured he is. She kneels down next to him to determine the extent of his injuries. “What is your name, friend?”
Khessa puts her greatsword back on her back and smiles reassuringly at Mr Crocodile, but kerps herself near T'bitha, just in case... we know really little of the stranger, after all. And one thing that we know is that he is tough enough to survive an onslaught by three carrion crawlers! He could become a not negligible threat, should he become hostile.
As you healed the strange man, T'bitha there was a feral look in his eyes, one that said he was ready to strike at any moment, and one of his hands transformed again into a beastial claw, but as he received the healing the hand went back to its humanoid form. "Thank you for the aid. I feared the worst for me." He takes a moment to look at the dead crocodiles around him. "I'm Tobias, and these were my clan - my family." The man sighs "now it seems I'm exiled and clanless. I owe all of you a debt for saving my life, that I fear I cannot repay"
"Debt? Let's not even talk about it, Tobias!" Khessa smiles at the man-crocodile, slowly and gently placing a hand on his back "You were in trouble and we helped you! If we all did it, for each other, the world would be better and life simpler, wouldn't it?"
"You know?" the voice of the blonde arcane warrior becomes less cheerful "I too happened to lose my family - my clan. And at first I felt lost, as if my life no longer had any reference points... maybe not even one purpose. But it's not really like that, you know?" her blue eyes shine with determination "I found the strength to start over. To tell me 'I am Khessa and I am free as the blowing wind'. And to freely forge myself a new life. Now I am an adventurer and with my abilities I try to avoid that others have to suffer what I have suffered. And this gave new meaning to an existence that seemed empty of it".
"I am truly free as the blowing wind" the tall warrior-mage smiles encouragingly. "But so are you! Forge yourself a new life! You could become an adventurer too and join us!" from her voice that rises in tone all her excitement shines through "I've seen you fight those overgrown insects; you can handle yourself when it comes to fighting. Our life is a hard and dangerous one, that's for sure, but... I couldn't offer you anything better at the moment... and your help could be useful to us! At the moment, we are back from a quest that it would be boring to give you the details of. You could finish the return trip with us (which you probably wouldn't get a reward for) and then work with us on our next assignment... this time, of course, participating in the compensation. What do you think, Tobias?"
Tristan chuckles in agreement with Khessa "You owe us nothing, friend. If I may ask, for what reason were you exiled?" His face remains in a smile, but there is a slightly hesitant look to his gaze. Walking over to T'bitha, Tristan taps her on the shoulder and leans over to whisper in her ear. "I am not sure it is the most fantastic idea to invite random strangers into our group, especially ones we know are criminals of some sort. From his fighting skill I doubt he could overpower the five of us in a fair fight, but I would be more worried about him cutting our throats in the night. Best to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but at least some of us should keep an eye on him"
Hadi, looking to the crocodile man, and then to Khessa simply pauses to listen and almost chuckles at his friendly companion's youthful optimism. "I was more concerned about stopping the snake from biting me again really..."he thinks to himself. He then just continues to listen as were-crocs (if that's what this man is) is something he hadn't encountered in his reading before, though it certainly was interesting!
”Tobias, there is no need to repay a debt. I am glad I could help. What exactly happened here? How did it come that you and your clan were attacked and slain by these creatures?”
T’bitha looks around to see how many crocodiles are slain and how many other centipede-like creatures there are that attacked the clan. As she does so, she overhears Khessa talking to Tobias. She listens to Tristan and nods in agreement, but not saying anything aloud to raise suspicion with anyone else, especially Tobias.
Looking around T'bitha there are 3 other large, dead centipedes laying about 4 dead crocodiles. "The world is not that simple, nor will it ever be." Tobias says with a sigh "I was leading my clan out of the swamp and into the lake. We were ambushed. I wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for your intervention." He pauses for a moment before continuing on "I was exiled for leading a group of thieves to my settlement. Under the guise that they were traders. They kidnapped several of our young scaleshifters." After listening to the entirety of Khessa's offer he speaks up again "I say this knowing I make my debt worse, but I cannot accompany you. I must remain here." He looks at his wrist and slides off a colorful threaded band with a bone colored coin strung to it. "I can however, offer you this." He shows you the coin where you see the image of a man pointing a spear at a much much larger bipedal crocodile. "This is the mark of the first elderslayer. It will protect you from any harm a scaleshifter may think to send your way." Tobias extends his hand with the bracelet in it, offering the bracelet to Dimitri "I'd like you to have it. You showed promise making your way to defend me. It may very well save your life one day, the way you did mine on this day."
..."I say this knowing I make my debt worse, but I cannot accompany you. I must remain here." He looks at his wrist and slides off a colorful threaded band with a bone colored coin strung to it. "I can however, offer you this."...
"If you say you can't join us, Tobias, so be it" Khessa keeps smiling at him. "And thank you very much for your gift! I hope we shall meet again in more pleasant circumstances. Oh," remembers the blonde arcane warrior "just a last quick question: have you by any chance met or seen a young lady with glowing red tattoos across her entire body?"
”I agree, Tobias. The world is not a simple place. I hope that you are able to find sanctuary wherever that may be.”
T’bitha looks to Khessa and nods approvingly at her follow-up question regarding the woman with the tattoos. ”We have some a prior engagement; however, Khessa brings up a good question. We’ve heard some rumors in Wakefield regarding a woman who was cast out because she bore the mark of a demon or devil that somehow made it to this world of ours. You would not know of anything about it or heard anything that might help us locate this woman?”
T’bitha looks to Hadi and notes that he is still struggling with his wounds. She approaches him, ”How are your wounds? I could say another prayer and maybe heal those wounds better.”
"Actually-" he pauses looking back at the dead crocodiles "I do recall Sam saying something about a glowing woman traveling the road while we were napping a few moons back, but she's not going to be much help now, and she didn't say much else except she was traveling your direction -- to the north. A large crocodile approaching the road is rather intimidating for travelers, and dangerous for us."
”In our direction, you say? I appreciate that piece of information. If she is traveling in our direction and presumably ahead of us, it might be possible that we could catch up to her, wherever she is heading. You say a large crocodile is rather intimidating. Was this woman also a scaleshifter, just larger? Or did I misunderstand?”
T’bitha looks to Dimitri, “If that woman is traveling the same road as we are, you may get lucky to find her, Dimitri.”
T’bitha returns to look at Tobias, ”I hope that you are able to find peace and safety in your journeys, Tobias. We must be on our way though.”
As you ask if the woman was a scaleshifter "No, I apologies. That was a miscommunication, I meant we would have likely startled her by attempting to approach her. Be safe on your journey."
With that, you continue on your trip to Whiteridge. It's a long, mostly straight road from Roonshire to Whiteridge, and before you know it, you arrive at the familiar gates of Whiteridge. It appears you've arrived just in a sweet spot. You're use to long lines at the gate waiting to enter, but instead the only thing standing between you and the otherside of the open gates of the city are 3 guards. As you get closer, one of the guards moves to greet you "Welcome to Whiteridge, what might your business be?"

"Morning, officer." Dimitri nodded at the guard, feeling odd that they were the only people at the gate. "We're here to do business."
Ozemon seemed well respected here, perhaps invoking his name will give us an easier time. Tristan nods at Dimitri's statement "We were employed by the scholar and historian Ozemon to recover an artifact. We have come to deliver him what we have found, and to collect our payment."

While Dimitri and Tristan give explainations to the guards, Khessa is more curious about the absence of the usual long lines of people: "Yes, dear sirs," she smiles to the guards "as my friend Tristan just said, we work for master Ozemon. But how it is that today there is nobody else here in line to enter? I remember people here are usually denser than flies on a goblin wedding cake..." (she is referring to a popular joke she has heard several times now: 'Do you know why goblin wedding cakes are made of skunk dung?' 'No! Why?' 'To keep the flies off the bride!') "Should we worry? Something wrong happened? Or is it just a coincidence?"

T’bitha steps in between Dimitri and Tristan to provide yet another set of credentials. ”Good day. My name is T’bitha Xiltyn. I am an acolyte under Ozemon’s tutelage. As my compatriots mentioned, Ozemon has sent us to recover an artifact.”

Whether Hadi or Khessa identify the bracelet, you find that the bracelet itself is mundane and just a bracelet, but it does have a spell affecting it. You touch a piece of nonmagical jewelry, that can be worn, such as a ring, an amulet, or a bracelet. Once, for the duration of the spell, the creature wearing the jewelry can use a bonus action to summon you, causing you to appear in an unoccupied space within 10 feet of them. If there is no unoccupied space within 10 feet of the creature, you are shunted to the nearest unoccupied space that you can occupy and take force damage equal to twice the number of feet you are moved. Once you are successfully summoned, the spell ends and the jewelry crumbles into a pile of ash.
After name dropping Ozemon the guard lets you pass without hassle. It would seem he carries a lot more weight that you may have previously realized. Khessa, as you ask about the lack of people at the gate the guard responds "No. There are no issues, it's just a slow day it would appear."T'bitha, the guards don't seem to be nervous, anxious, or showing any sort of fear. They seem bored. As you approach Ozemon's Estate the doors swing open. The familiar visage of Cedric, the older butler greets you "Welcome back mistress T'bitha. Seeing as you're all returning I take it the mission was a success?"
”Thank you Cedric. I would say so. Is Ozemon available?” T’bitha says. She relaxes her arms allowing the straps from her pack to fall off her shoulders. She gently places the pack on the floor and kneels, unbuckling the strap keeping it closed and pulls out the urn. “There were two. Hadi has the other one. We… we just couldn’t determine which one he wanted so we nearly drowned getting both of them. What an ordeal!”
