Waking up and hearing Khessa shaken by her dream, Eric hold his hand and gently says "Calm down, Goods may whispers to our hears by suggesting dreams, for our good or not, it doesn't mean they have power on you" he interrupts his speech with gentle dwarfish words that sounds to her hears like a lullaby (Eric casts Calm emotions ) while little sparks illuminate the room like fireflies. "Don't be afraid, if Tiamat is involved, this cannot be the only force beyond this. Benevolent forces should be involved as well, like two opponent on a battlefield. The mark increases your power and does not limit your own will, that's all we need to know for this moment." he smiles "You can tell me about your dream if you wish, before we go"

In response to the spell (or perhaps more in response to the caring attention) of the dwarf who has become so important to her, Khessa calms down and focuses instead on her fear, on her lucid analysis capabilities: "Yes, of course Eric! You're right; let me remember it... In the dream, different parts of the world were destroyed by cold, choking fumes, lightning storms, waves of acid, and horrible fire! The nightmare ended with Tiamat's ten evil eyes glaring at me from the darkness. And Tiamat told me 'Welcome to the flock, child!' But that in no way implies that she has power over me..."
"Indeed, if we think about it," the blonde arcane warrior continues, excited, "it implies that she is not omniscient... Or she certainly would not have welcomed a person who intends to infiltrate and hinder her! No, the mark probably allows her to do 'advertising' in the dreams of the recipient... but not to know everything about the person. And in this case, at least, the 'advertising' allowed us to understand that she's the one behind it all".
"Shall we go down to breakfast?" the tall adventuress begins to dress, already in a good mood again "I'm traveling again with Nixi, today, to protect Urnpoleshurst, so I can inform her of what we've discovered. If you think you can pass the word along on the trip, so at least we're all up to date..."
...Oh and I'll you all to make an Insight check, alternatively Kriv, Zale and Zeminny can also choose to make a Deception check.
Khessa's Insight check: 17
Khessa notices...
...that the gnome who recently joined the caravan shows an interest in Azbara Jos. They aren’t together, but during stops, the gnome often sidles up near enough to overhear anything the human might say, and she has also been spotted hovering near the cult wagons when the Cultists are busy with tasks other than guarding the wagons closely. The gnome shows an interest in your party. She has spoken to several of them, asking innocuous questions and commenting on the weather. She leaves the impression of being someone who flawlessly takes in every detail about people and her surroundings.

Khessa, at the first opportunity, tries to get the party together and announces: "Friends... you know the gnome who recently joined the caravan? Well, she seems very interested in Azbara and the Cultists... she gives me the impression that she is spying on them. I don't know if maybe she could be a Harper on a mission... Anyway, I thought we should take her aside and talk to her (maybe captain 'gold tongue' Zale can do that), point out that the last person who had taken too much interest in the Cult had died of poison, and try to get her to reveal who she is and why she is spying on them. She could be our ally... What do you think?"
(OOC: Just don't roll for Perception while also rolling for social interactions, Rynn_Elocin! By the way... just curious... just noticed that 'Elocin' is 'Nicole' written backwards... Only a coincidence? Or is Nicole you name? If you like to share that, of course)

"Maybe you're right, I had the same Idea... better taking her aside and talk her before she gets her into troubles"
Calvin nods, "Hmm, perhaps we should take her aside and talk with her. We wouldn't want her to get into trouble, we also don't want us to get into trouble either."

"I sure have Khessa. And have ye noticed that she seems interested in us too? It be hard to tell what her motivations be, but she definitly be the type to keep tabs on everyone who she talks to. If ye want I can talk to 'er, the cult already be watchin me, so if she does turn out to be with 'em it won't be putt'n any more o us at risk. From what I've seen o her, I don't think we have to worry about that, but ye never know. So, do ya'll wanna talk to her with me? Or do ya think I should go alone at first. It might be less invasive if only one or two of us approach her..."
OOC: Lol definitely no perception. Haha. I was wondering if anyone would ever pick up on that! It is not a coincidence. Yes, Nicole is one of my names (though I won't specify if it is first second or last lol). Rynn is the name of my longest running dnd character. XD

"Yes, in fact, she's also interested in us..." confirms Khessa "Also for this reason I hypothesize that she could be a Harper... Why should a simple enemy of the Cult be interested in us? She's not interested in all the guards - for example, she's not interested in Mr Pole. Maybe she's interested in us because there's a connection between us and the Cult... but how could she know? Maybe Leosin sent her and told her something about us. Or maybe not. However, let's not tell her anything about us, or about the fact that she's getting information about us... under the guise of warning her of the dangers of the Cult, let's rather ask her why she spies on them - and let's hear what she tells us"
"I'll come with you too, when you talk to her..." the blonde arcane warrior offers herself "It's improbable, but if the situation becomes dangerous, at least there would be two of us - and Anator could fly immediately to call all the others. Not to mention" she winks "that I have a reckless reputation to uphold by now..."
Zale nods, "Valid hypothesis. And be agreein'. Whatever reason she has, we need to figure it out. Whether it be to protect her safety, ours, or both." The dragonborn returns Khessa's wink with a wry smile, "Eye, that ye do. I have me own as well ye know. Suppose it don't hurt to help each other out. heheh."
She turns, "Well now, let's go introduce ourselves to the newcomer shall we?"
She looks around for the gnome....

(Lol wow not bad for once...maybe i need to capitalize it every time... or i simply succeed because it was actually pointless for me to roll in the first place lol)
Kriv continues along with the caravan. Even with his would-be assassin gone, he is a bit wary of those from outside his group. And he keeps an extra arm’s length between him and the suspicious horse.

Kriv rides on his own horse next to one of the wagons, which is pulled by the suspicious horse. It always seems to stare at Kriv with an evil look in its eyes.
Finally around noon you have time to get together for a quick lunch. The gnome approaches you just as you are sitting down. After glancing around to make sure none of the cultists are watching, she puts her fingers to her lips, then takes the bowl of oatmeal that Eric was about to eat.
After poking through Eric's oatmeal with the blade of her dagger, the gnome lifts it out and shows you an oatmeal-smeared object resembling a tiny bead. She glances over her shoulder toward where cultists sit at their breakfast. It’s a sliver of bone,” she whispers, curled into a circle so you can swallow it in a mouthful of gruel without noticing. Once eaten, it slowly uncurls inside you, exposing needle points that pierce your guts and kill you slowly. I suspect they’re in all your lunches. As she gets up and walks away, she adds, Let’s talk this evening.

No problem! With that roll Zale sees the gnome near one of the Cult's wagons. She's riding behind it and she's in the process of slowly overtaking it.
