Frangipani began removing various interesting stones, sticks, body-parts and other detritus she had collected along the way just in case any of it counted for the agreement.
Bjorn chuckles seeing Frangipani's collection. "I'm sure Fist isn't interested in things that have no monetary value. Or should I scrape off the dirt from my boots as well?"
Sparhawk makes a show of counting with his fingers, looking at the complete list he provided, as if he has a number in his head, muttering something about 10% as he again looks at the list, and a tithe, he counts again and looks at the back of gems, and looks at Bjorn and winks, as he looks curiously at Fist. He barely acknowledges the man with the monocle or Fists underlings, as the magically binding agreement was between Fist and his crew. He is also somewhat unamused by Fists lack of humor and gratitude as he feels they have provided him with a tremendous service.
"Ok my friend" Looking at Fist, "so when we look at all that we have recovered for you and your ship, the reward on dead Bernard (800 gold...), our discretion with the unopened chest, the unrelated items we have claimed, the matter of helping with the crab attack, and of course, the loss of captain Sorsha," He looks at the water, a tear in his eye, "may the seas lie smooth before her, and a gentle breeze forever fill her sails)" He looks at Fist inquisitively, "what are we looking at in total for payment and to release all of us from our blood agreement?" He looks at his crew, "Don't worry mates, I know Fist will be honest with us regarding these transactions."
Mr Smithe reaches into his bag and pulls out a sack of coins " here is the bounty on the filth known Bernard. 800gp + 100gp bonus for the crew mates you have dispatched "
He focuses his monocle on the small open chest as he waves his fingers over the miscellaneous gems and shell jewelry.
Vars stays utterly quiet aside from a few huffs, but he doesn't want to get the rest of the group in trouble by insisting that they keep all the money for the treasure found in the dwarven cave.
Sparhawk shows no emotion as he continues to look at Fist (playing a poker game with a poker face), expectantly (hoping the fat man won't let him down). He continues to not acknowledge the bald man, a person he pretends (he certainly doesn't truly feel this way about most people but from his background, he has an almost hate for bureaucrats and aristocrats and he projects his disdain for the man) is clearly beneath him and an inconvenience in their transaction.
" the contents of the small chest are valued approximately 1000gp for the gemstones. The shell jewelry is difficult to appraise so if you would like you cam keeps those to sell at your discretion. Your 10% is 100gp"
He pulls another 100gp out of his bag and sets it next to the gold bag and the shell jewelry. He then goes to work over the locked chest. As he concentrates over the box, you see some sparks between his hand and the box. He temporarily pulls his hand away in pain, shaking it for a second. You hear him curse a bit under his breath and he pulls out a larger monocle and tries again. After a moment, he says
" the locked heirloom box is worth 8000gp. Your percentage is 800+ a bonus of 200 for not breaking the box or opening it."
He looks at the weapons and armour and Bernard's gear and tells you it is yours for the taking.
Sparhawk ponders the amount, scratches his chin, as if again, doing some math in his head. "Hum"He looks back at Fist, then back to the crew. "He is bound by the agreement just as we are and seems pretty fair to me." He looks at his companions, still emotionless. "Is that everything crew and any questions?"
Sparhawk opens the bag of jewels from the cave. "We discovered these uncut gems along the way, but in an unrelated matter to our business." He looks at Vars, "I couldn't tell you the value at this this time, but if we get them appraised, on my word, I could pay you the 10% tithe."

Smithe and Fist look over the rough gems and Fist says you can take them to be cut and polished and then appraised. Smithe says “ oh and I don’t want to forget, Admiral Kursk was impressed and grateful for your actions against the giant crab infestation and has offered and award of 500g. He reaches his entire arm into his bag searching about for the gold. And he finally pulls out another small chest emblazoned with the First ship crest, he also hands you each a special silver coin with the crest stamped onto it.
”These are for if you ever need an audience with the admiral, good for a one time discussion...if we are all agreed we will dispose of this cretin and return these items to the Admirals abode.”
he places the items into his bag and amazingly they go in without issue. The other two men pull out 2 meat hooks and jamb them into Bernards rib cage and haul his carcass off the wagon and drag him down the dock a bit before tossing him into a dinghy tied to the post.
"Well, unless any of my crew has anything to say, I feel you have been more than fair with us." Sparhawk finally smiles and offers Fist his hand, which may be almost as large. "We would be happy to consider doing additional work for you in the future, should the need arise." If it feels appropriate, he gathers his crew and begins to head out.
Fist seeming satisfied pulls out the contract and unrolls it. Now, if all is true and honest, lick your thumb and place on your blood print. One of you will need to vouch for Capt Sorsha unless you suspect her of fraud.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Doubt Sorsha pulled any funny business... She seemed too honest to be a pirate captain, lol.)
Bjorn grins and follows the instructions for the contract. "Glad to have known ye, Fist. Next time ye want to lose some money," he looks impishly at Sparhawk, "I recommend three-dragon ante."

Sparhawk smiles at the group. he gladly places his thumb on the page. I Sir Sparhawk do vouch for Sorsha Deepfathom that she did not break this contract. He places his thumb on her mark
One by one you place your wetted thumb over your print. As Bjorn places his there is a flash and a stinging pain in his thumb for second and then the print disappears from the page. The same happens for everybody who rolled less than 10. The rolls above 10 their prints disappears with no pain.
Fist gives Smithe the wave off as he place his thumb over his spot and the contract combust into flames and disappears.
Once Smithe is down the dock a bit, Fist will say " ok now that the packer head is gone, let's discuss this Minotaur and the letter. "
