"It doesn't sound much like Aerth", says Galfaen dubiously. "It says it's thirsty; I hope for water, not blood. Let me see if I can find out some more. In the mean time, see if you can get a look at it."
"You want water? What manner of creature are you? We mean you no harm, but if we let you out and you attack us, we shall show you no mercy. Do you understand this?"
Elyot pushes a stool over and climbs on top of it in order to take a closer look at what's bubbling inside the cauldron. "She probably lures people here and locks them in that blood room over there! I don't think we should stick around here for much longer, let's just grab our supplies and get out of here."
"I smell it nearby yes. Let me out and I won't hurt you" It seems the creature settled down as its no longer trying to break down the door
Elyot sees a bubbling blue concoction in the cauldron. Well you know its a potion, but for what your not sure. You can do some tests if you have an alchemist kit.
"But what happens if it drinks it?", replies Galfaen, agitated. "And what has become of Aerth? Is this some chance encounter for us, or is it somehow fated?"
"Well I suppose we could let it out.....but it was still locked in there for a reason.....but as Elyot said we just have to be ready!
Brac pulls his greataxe from his back. "Lets open the door!....or we just leave, we do have a time limit. Brace glances over at the chest and nods in its direction.
The party helps move the couch and Galfaen opens the door.
A large tiger quickly leaves the room. You can see its rippling muscles at it moves. It looks at each party member and stiffs them inches from where they stand. He makes his way to the cauldron. The rune for winter glows brighter than the rest. He almost drinks it and pauses.
He looks to Galfaen. "Its not done, please finish it so I may drink it."
The tiger scrapes the floor with his claws with frustration
Brac nods in Galfeans direction. He then heads find the shutters and starts to pry them open.
Roll Strength: 18 + 2 = 20
In a guttural tone you hear the creature speak "I thirst, let me free"
"It doesn't sound much like Aerth", says Galfaen dubiously. "It says it's thirsty; I hope for water, not blood. Let me see if I can find out some more. In the mean time, see if you can get a look at it."

Roll investigation if you have an alchemist kit.
Galfaen relays what the creature has said to the others. "What do you think? Do we trust it? Or we just leave and move on with our quest?"
"Perhaps that blue concoction is what this creature is after"
"But what happens if it drinks it?", replies Galfaen, agitated. "And what has become of Aerth? Is this some chance encounter for us, or is it somehow fated?"
(Has Brac been able to open the shutters for a look?)
Yes you were able pry open a shutter. Inside you see a large tiger pacing near the door.
Brac makes his way back to the others.
"So by the looks the creature is a Tiger. So lets be careful if we decide to let it out...."
"I do not have the magics prepared in order to befriend wild animals". Galfaen appears disappointed.
(Sadly Elyot is only proficient with the tools, but he doesn't have the tools on hand yet.)
"I looks like-... some kind of brew? I've no idea what it could be though. She's got plenty of potent herbs all around, it could be anything really."
(I'll roll Investigation without adding the tool proficiency bonus: 10)
"Look around, maybe she left something behind; like a note or something? If worse comes to it, we'll just have to defend ourselves."
Elyot will also prepare three Magic Stones and hand out to the others if anyone needs a ranged attack. (You add a +2 to attack and damage rolls.)
Elyot does not know what the concoction is.
(It looks like most are okay with opening the door. Go ahead and lets find out what happens)
Galfaen calls through the door, "We are going to release you now. For your own sake, do not try to harm us."
With that, he opens the door.
The party helps move the couch and Galfaen opens the door.

Not sure if this skill is used for this purpose but I could do a animal handling check to see its intentions?
Animal Handling 15
That would be insight
"You will need to tell us what we must do to finish it, and what it will do when you drink it."
(Galfaen's insight: 15)
