Elyot will help in searching for the herb. "We haven't checked that other door over there, right?" He points towards the other door before walking over, keeping a somewhat weary eye on the tiger.
Investigation: 12 (for helping to search for the herb).
He'll check if traps before trying the handle, producing a set of lockpicks if it appears to be locked. Otherwise, he'll simply open it.
Thieves' Tools: 23 (if the door appears trapped or locked).
"Ratham, I confess I am intrigued. You, a tiger who-is-not-a-tiger, locked in one room; the other door both locked and trapped. A potion bubbling on the hearth. No sign of our hostess, Aerth. Do you have any answers you could share with us, perchance?"
The door opens and you see a snow cover bedroom. There are icicles hanging from the ceiling and a cold breeze stings your face. In the far corner you see a door ajar with sunlight and snow drifting through it.
Which is quite strange as its currently night time.
Brac puts straps his greataxe across his back once more and plods over to the open door.
"That is some strange magic there........this lady could maybe be a bit of a witch after all.....I know we have already let the tiger out but what if it was changed into a tiger on purpose then locked away. I don't really understand much in the way of magic but if the tiger was a magic user would forcing it to change forms prevent it from casting spells? We change it back and then he could be a lot more dangerous then he is now."
It takes a bit of time for Galfaen to adjust to the bright sunlight. Then he sees a snowy glade with dense frost covered trees. You see a piece of red fabric stuck on a tree branch 20ft from where you are standing.
The door knob has the same runes as the cauldron. Depicting the seasons.
Elyot looks rather confused about the whole situation. Presently more worried about the tiger rather than the strange magical gateway. "She certainly isn't just some ordinary 'herbalist', that's for sure. I've never seen anything like this before. In any case, we're wasting time here. Couldn't we just leave?"
Galfaen notices how cold it is and is unable to make out what the piece of fabric is and he does not notice any herbs. Ratham also enters the snowy glade.
"Bugger this, it's colder than a tax collector's heart out here", grumbles Galfaen. "See if you can find your herb, Ratham, I'm going back to the hearth"
"Find a winter hardy herb. It will return me to my true form."
Galfaen gets the sense that the tiger is speaking the truth.
(Nature: 6 to see if Galfaen knows what he is looking for. NB, he has proficiency in herbalism kit in case that grants him advantage: 1)
(Investigation: 15 to see if he can find it within the house)
"Can you smell it, Tiger? Is it here, in this house? And what should I call you?"
"Call me Ratham." He prowls around the cabin "So many smells, but I think in here" He sits next to the other locked door

Elyot does not find the herb
The door is trapped and locked
You have disabled the trap.
Please roll thieves tools again to unlock the door.

"Not now, must change" He looks quite uncomfortable. As if he is doing his best to restrain himself.
Elyot mutters something under his breath as he continues to fiddle with the lock.
Thieves' Tools: 21 (for opening the lock).
"Alright, I dunno what we might find behind here. So be ready..." He attempts to open the door gently. Taking a look inside, if it opens.
The door opens and you see a snow cover bedroom. There are icicles hanging from the ceiling and a cold breeze stings your face. In the far corner you see a door ajar with sunlight and snow drifting through it.
Which is quite strange as its currently night time.
"How extraordinary!" exclaims Galfaen, striding through the room before peering out the far door.
Brac puts straps his greataxe across his back once more and plods over to the open door.

Galfaen is drawn to the red fabric. What was Aerth wearing? He can't rightly remember. He checks to see if the tiger - Ratham - is following.
(Investigating the red fabric 6; nature to see if he can spot a winter herb 3. The dice gods do not favour Galfaen)
Galfaen notices how cold it is and is unable to make out what the piece of fabric is and he does not notice any herbs. Ratham also enters the snowy glade.
Elyot starts rummaging inside the cabin for something that might help with the cold. "I'll see if there's anything in here that might help..."
Investigation: 4
"Bugger this, it's colder than a tax collector's heart out here", grumbles Galfaen. "See if you can find your herb, Ratham, I'm going back to the hearth"
Elyot sees a snow covered dresser.
(Is there anyone entering the snowy glade besides Ratham the tiger.?)
"I don't really want to go in, I don't do well in the cold. If the rest of you decide too though I will come with, just in case we run into danger."
