Rus is caught off guard when the attacks come. He jumps up quickly to help the other prisoners around him. He gives a quick wink to the ones around him that can see him and whispers, "Maybe this will throw them off."  As he's speaking he suddenly changes appearance to everyone and looks exactly like one of the drow guards. "Hey! You prisoners behave yourselves and get in line!" he shouts trying to grab the attention of the guards that were attacking them.  "You guys handle that demon, I'll take care of this riff raff," he adds as he shoves one of the nearby prisoners to get in line.

 The attack fails, but you can go 20 ft further than the drow.

It is the drows turn now the first drow in the group takes out his cross bow and aims at tharivol assuming that he is a power full spell caster his

If it's my turn or when it gets to my turn (in case I'm not online when it does), Clarion will use the help action in order to help convince the guards that Rus is one of them. 

"Who are you calling riff raff, you good for nothing, traitorous slave master! You were the one who brought me in, and I swear I'll get my revenge on you!" Clarion acts, pretending to be enraged at Rus. 

(do I need a performance check for that?)
