She had lived a sheltered life. The priests had claimed her birth was divine, a gift from Lathander himself. They named her Lighttouched, and removed her from the loving home of her mother and father to be raised in the temple. She had little memory of them anymore, she had been so young.
She did have gifts, there was no denying that. Her dreams were vivid, and the priests would take these dreams as prophecies. People would come seeking her blessing, carried in by their loved ones sick and dying. When she laid her hands on them, their ailments melted away. These abilities used to frighten her, but had become mundane over her years in the temple. She had begun to experiment to the extents of her gifts, conjuring fire and electricity, and being able to speak to others with her mind. These new abilities she hid from the priests to the best of her ability.
While life in the temple was comfortable, after many years within its walls, it began to look more like a prison. Her dreams had begun to show her more and more visions of herself outside the walls of the temple; a shadow descending over a wild untamed land with indescribable beasts. The dreams of this place had come to her for months, and the frequency of the vision was increasing. She resolved that the time had come to escape from the temple and journey to this foreign land.
Her escape was well planned, she stole away in the middle of the night. They would look for her, but she knew her destination and it was hours before dawn. She had used the archives in the temple to research the land in her dreams. Chult. And the way to get there was through Baldur’s Gate and The Harpers.
Though she knew where she wanted to go, she soon found that navigating in the real world was more difficult than on a map and soon was hopelessly lost. A wandering dwarf named Kaslo discovered and befriended her. He seemed to believe her visions, and offered to help her along the road.
Shorpa. Shorpa love the simple things in life. He wants to hit things, drink things, and eat things. Raised in the same village as Krask, Shorpa always wanted to be a great warrior but never really got the hang of the whole "using a weapon" thing. He has fists and he has teeth and thats all he ever thought he needed, plus bad guys taste good. The village leaders thought Shorpa's reluctance towards weapon training made him useless so they stuck with a scatterbrained alchemist/shaman Krask as a bodyguard/apprentice. Maybe the village leaders figured they would both get killed and be out of their scales? But sadly, after actually managing to keep Krask a live thanks to Shorpa's love of punching things they both kept showing back up at the village until one day the village was replaced with a smoldering pile of cooked meat. Krask wouldn't let Shorpa have any of the meat. Krask found some broken sticks and some a couple weird footprints with no toes on them, so Shorpa did what he always did and followed Krask. Eventually Krask made Shorpa draw an X mark on paper for a no scales named Gordok. Gordok didn't look tasty but he gives Shorpa shiny circles to lift heavy things and punch people. Shorpa likes the shiny circles, but Krask always holds on to Shorpa's circles for him

If you haven't checked out the post about formatting you should go back to page 1 and do so. I know sometimes y'all might be posting from your phone. Just do as much formatting as you can, or make a note OOC that you're posting from mobile.
Also, if you haven't found the "export character sheet" button on Beyond, it can be quite helpful. It just gives you a standard D&D sheet in a form-fillable pdf. Might come in handy for reference. soon DnDBeyond will link our character sheets right to this thread which will be awesome!
Glyph choose a bond from the list, and then choose another player who you share it with (any non-chultan). Then post your bond with the character's name filled in.
I came upon Rysta attempting to saved a trapped creature in a nearby forest, and I helped her set it free. I know they are gentle and kind-hearted despite what people say.
While working on a trail network near Scornubel, Kaslo came across a most curious scene: there off the path, a young woman was tending to a fawn that had it's leg stuck in a hunters trap. The poor fawn was bleating out in pain, and this strangely dressed woman was trying to sooth it while also opening the trap. Kaslo rushed over and being familiar with the workings of hunting traps, quickly released the fawn. Together they calmed the poor fawn and healed it's injuries.
After closer inspection of this unusual young woman, Kaslo determined she fit the description of a runaway from the nearby temple in Scornubel. Just a few days earlier, a representative from the Temple had come by the Hospice inquiring if anyone had seen or heard about a young Aasimar that had run away. They described her as young and quite dangerous, and needing to get back to the Temple for hers and everyone's safety.
Not feeling any immediate danger from her and sensing a genuine innocence, despite what the Temple said about her, Kaslo offered to help her out.
I got distracted by some particularly rare flowers that can make a lovely poison and didn't notice the frog men sneaking up on me until I heard the familiar sound of Shorpa's jaws sinking into flesh. Of course I had to treat him with some antitoxin after. But he still did save my life I suppose.
Shorpa saved my life. They haven't left my side since.

Krask-ToA Lizardfolk druid lvl 1
I'm not good at much other than punching, so the Village chieftain told me to follow around Krask and make sure he didn't die.
I made a vow to protect Krask, We always venture together now.

Kaslo and I became friends when they caught me stealing something of theirs, and decided to give me a chance instead of punish me.
Glyph -- Level 1 Warlock
I confided in Gylph about a dark secret. They are the only one who knows.
I'm adventuring with Glyph to pay back a favor from the time they lied for me.
