Lyndaran is impressed by the magic Jhartaael displayed but tries to remain focused on he mission. With his bow ready he follow the others trying to listen.
Group B are as quiet as mice as they approach the northern door. Listening, they hear adult voices murmuring beyond, and the occasional clink of armor or weapons.
Kyrsa, as she looks through the keyhole glimpses something shiny and metallic as she continues to hear the laughter of a small child.
Kyrsa steps back, thoughtful but not wanting to waste time, "Yes, this seems questionable. I couldn't see much aside from something metallic--no sign of a child. Still, we shouldn't simply walk by. If we recognize this as a trap perhaps we can spring it without getting trapped ourselves." She grabs the doorknob, "Let's open the door just enough to look inside, but stay away from the opening just in case. We'll open it, and wait a few moments before entering."
She looks to her companions, waiting to see if they had any objections before following through.
(I believe that Akyan is correct regarding how we split up)
Tamryn checks the door for tricks and traps (and if it is unlocked). If it looks clear, he will quietly nudge it open to see what is beyond it.
Investigation: 23

Tamryn discovers no trickery. He is so quiet that even he doesn't know where he is. He's a disembodied consciousness floating in a dark and silent sea... Also, there are some guards in the next room that although they are looking right at the door, your mysterious aura of imperceptibility has rendered them oblivious to your presence. You are the wind.
Kyrsa proceeds to open the door, just a crack at first. If nothing happens, she'll peek around the edge of the door to try and get another look inside.
Kyrsa spies something quite disturbing through the door... what looks like a small metallic humanoid, dressed in blue children's clothing and a red wig. The sound of laughter seems to be emanating from the creature although its mouth is not moving. It is sitting on the floor in the far corner of the 15x20 room. There are no other visible occupants.
Tamryn sees a 15x20 room with a table and three chairs. Each is occupied by a humanoid guard in chainmail, with longswords unsheathed and shields nearby. There is a door in the wall behind the guards. (sorry, map later today hopefully when my reg computer comes back from shop).
Kyrsa blinks, frowns for a moment, and then turns to her companions, "No one said anything about who would be playing the role of the child did they? ...Cause either they got a... um... small metal person to play the part, or this is a trap. Which... I'm leaning towards trap because I feel like they would have said something if this was our quarry."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mina doesn't take her eyes off the creepy metal childlike thing that is holding a bloody hammer. She whispers back to Kyrsa, "Trap indeed." And murmuring under her breath to cast ensnaring strike she looses the arrow at the creature.
She sends another arrow directly after the first.
(I'm going to roll the attacks separately as if the first one is a surprise and the creature hasn't seen them yet - I'm assuming advantage? And if the ensnaring strike works on the first, she'd get advantage on the 2nd. Also, to get out of the ensnaring strike - STR save of 13)
The poorly disguised auto-gnome doesn't even try to dodge the two arrows (auto-fail the STR save), but the head swivels around to look at Mina. "Help me! Help me!"it says in the creepy child-voice, as it sits there unmoving, now restrained by magical vines.
Akyan grimaces when Mina shoots the creepy thing. They were supposed to be avoiding conflicts, but now that's out of the question. At least the thing isn't putting up much of a fight. Pushing past Kyrsa and opening the door the rest of the way. "Quickly, lets silence this thing and keep moving. I'd say to just tie it up, but I'm not sure how well a gag will work." He says quietly. Before entering the room, he checks for other occupants or traps. Since there was no reaction to the auto-gnome getting shot, he's wary of another trap. If he sees no one, he will continue into the room and towards the not-child.
Kyrsa had been planning on simply closing the door and moving on, not knowing how big of a threat this... thing was. The idea behind this mission was to avoid detection and to avoid conflicts, but now they didn't have much of a choice. Yet she understands Mina's swiftness to deal with the creature. She doesn't like the idea of leaving this thing behind them, where it could potentially pop up and cause trouble. Still, now what are they going to do? Akyan is right, they need to move quickly.
"It's restrained. Perhaps we can knock it out... though that might make to much noise considering it has a metal head..." she looks to Mina. "Do you have any idea of how to deal with this quickly and quietly?" She pulls out a sword, moving towards the thing in preparation to jam her blade into the joint at its neck. Maybe without its head the thing will be quiet, but she waits in hopes that one of her companions will figure out a better way to deal with it.
As she approaches the thing, she too looks around the room warily. If this is a trap, then... she stops short of the auto-gnome. Likely the gnome is the trap itself, and putting herself within reach of it is not a good idea. Still, someone has to take care of the thing, plus it's restrained, so she should be fine. Though... it is surprising to her that it didn't put up much of a fight against the vines in the first place. Hesitantly she says to the auto-gnome, "We won't hurt you if you don't do anything to us. Please quiet down. Could you tell me why you are here?"

(I thought we were split up? Kyrsa, Mina, and Akyan went one way (where the child noises are) and Lyndaran, Tamryn, and Jhaartael went the other?)
