The farmland seems calm, the Redbrands are cleaning up the scene of the battle, or retreating to the bar they previously inhabited.
Qelline bits her lip, and suddenly sends Pip to go do some busybody chore in another room.
Once that is done, she shakily starts- "Well, what you guys do is what you guys do, and I honestly don't want to be a burden, but I don't think your hopes of the Redbrands calming down are... realistic. They have killed good men over slight insults, you killed and injured multiple of their own. If they cant lash out against you when your out on your quests, they will probably lash out on the townspeople, and only the Gods know what they will do then." She breaths out nervously, and looks up at each of your eyes before continuing.
"Maybe it isn't a housewives place to tell you this, but if you don't do anything, the townspeople, and most likely us two, will suffer greatly for the things you did today. I know it wasn't intentional, it was self defense, yadayadayada, but the Redbrands won't see it that way. I doubt myself and many others will live to see your return if you all set out. So please, for them, for Carp, for me-" She says with a significantlook into Kor's visble eye"Can you do something to deal with the Redbrands? Plunge their bar, storm their manor-house, anything!" She finishes, her voice cracking, and a single tear escaping her eye. She angrily rubs it away, and tries looking back at you all.
Kor sets his hand on the halflings shoulder consoling, before withdrawing it and running both through his hair. "Hmm...I need to think..."
After several minutes pass with Kor only half listening to anyone else that speaks, he says, "I don't see anyway to stop or even stall them that won't lead to violence. They know all of our faces since we left a majority of their men alive. I can disguise myself, but a confidence game good enough to suit our purposes isn't a one man job. If we're going to move on the Redbrands so soon, we need better gear and we need it tonight, if at all possible. If what Qelline's saying goes down, the Redbrands will be out in force tomorrow morning making a shopping trip a dangerous proposition, not that we have much coin anyways."
Turning to the halfling again, Kor says, "Qelline, do you know if the smith or anyone else would be willing to arm us against the Reds? We're low on gold, so they'd have to accept credit or be generous. It be even better if there was anyone willing to fight with us, but that's a slim hope, I know. Lastly, we also need information. I want to send my familiar into that cave under the manor to get an idea of what's down there before we go in. It would help if you also sent some of your stealthier animals as well in case she is detected. The more we know, the better prepared we will be."
“I’m up for sneaking in as I’m in no condition to fight however I don’t see us not fighting... and in that case we must rest. We cannot fight the lot of them in this condition.”

Quelline nods ”I can go with you all, most townspeople would happily contribute with IOU’s of you all promise to do something about it, and I’m there to lend credence. I know Daran, the old adventure, might have a few magical stuff he’d be willing to let you borrow. He hates the Red Brands maybe more then anybody else, but his old injuries hold him back from doing anything. It frustrates him more then probably anyone else can understand, if you play off that insecurity he’d probably give you all he has. We can head out after I clean up.”
”And as for the animal question, I can’t make them do anything they don’t want to do. I can act as a translater, but their corporation depends on you all.”
"Then Daran seems like our first order of business, gaining the cooperation of the animals our second. I'm hesitant to split the party again, after what happened last time, but I think Mav and Val are far too recognizable to be out and about in town right now. I can disguise myself well enough and maybe Berrus and AB as well. I have some clothes that AB might be able to squeeze into. Qelline, I hate to ask, but do you think some of your husband's clothes might fit Berrus? You don't have to answer if it's too much to ask."
After her reply, he continues, "Here's what I think: Berrus, AB, Qelline and I go meet with Daran and maybe the smith for supplies and magical items. Mav and Val stay here and convince the critters to help with Val's nature magic. Carp can do the introductions and maybe Dancer can pitch in as well, I don't know, animal relations are Val's field of expertise." Kor says with a grin.
"What say you all?" Kor asks, looking around the room.
Can I use the disguise kit to disguise other people? At the least, I have some extra clothes the AB may or may not be able to fit into. Berrus might be able to bum some threads from Qelline, her husband left behind some stuff, though I don't know his comparative size.
Yeah I'll rule that you can do some disguise stuff for others. Just deduct two points from your bonus or something.
Quelline look's incredibly relieved at the turn of events, and hurriedly agree's to see if Berrus can squeeze into her late husband's old clothing. Berrus comes back with a tight (on him at least, you can see bits of skin poking out between the button's) white button up shirt, and brown pants and a vest, complete with a little makeup touch up by Quelline herself makes him look like any other dwarf returning from a late night at the mine's. He even has a little hat to hide his hair and general head shape.

Valathar sits quietly while Kor and Quelline discuss their plan. Racking his memory, he does his best to picture the small women from an earlier time. While he does so, Valathar remembers something he'd learned as a younger dragon. The ability to shape himself into a beast wasn't something he was ever particularly good at, and he couldn't ever make it last very long, but scouting this cave might be more advantageous if the information wasn't coming second hand.
"Kor, what would you say if I told you I could scout that cave myself, undetected by the Redbrands? It would have to be quick, but I think I could manage an hour, maybe two as a cat or dog or wolf of some kind. Do you think that'd be enough time?"
Wild Shape allows for 1 hours stints, but I have 2 charges of it, so I believe I could do at most 2 hours as some animal. Also, do I need some check to remember Quelline, or is that a given?
"It would be dangerous, but it would also be the most effective way for us to see what that cave has in store. We could send Dancer and Mimi with you as support. An hour should be more than enough, what we really need to know is what sort of being contacted Carp when he went in there and if there's a way to bypass it altogether to get into Glasstaff's manor. Failing that, we need as much info on it as possible so we can be ready to challenge it when we enter as a group." Kor responded to the dragonborn.
AB looks concerned at Mav's words. "Perhaps I should stay as well." He looks at his compatriots and then smiles broadly at Quelline. "I'd hate for the little lady and her son to come to any harm."

"Give me some time to change my face and we'll be ready to hit the town!" Kor says to the dwarf with a grin. Borrowing a back room, Kor removed his eyepatch and dons the guise of the common miner that wore when he initially followed AB to the Red's inn. This time, however, he used his disguise kit to change his hair color to tawny amber with a temporary dye and affixed an alchemical paste that made his patch of skin under his right eye swell up with a false birth mark.
Deception: 19
Walking back out to the others he had the slouched posture and hard eyes of man used to regular back breaking work. "Let's go see Daran," he said to Berrus and Qelline in a gruff voice.
