Merrick raises the diary, showing it to everyone. "Hey, I found something, but I can't read it. Look here, maybe one of you can?"

Io gets close
"What language you think it is?"
Then she looks at the book

((hhmm... investigation check? idk is it on a language any of us can speak?))

Io, you look at this and it's Draconic, a language you understand. You also come to the same conclusion that she's writing in a different language because she thinks someone's been reading her diary.  

The last entry reads "I think he's having me followed. I talked to mother and she thinks I should leave the city and find one of the gates. I hope he doesn't find me." 

With that 19, you also spot a small bit of dry blood on the bottom right hand corner of the page. 

Io says what she read to everyone around her
"It's draconic, interesting, very interesting. Also look here, there's a drop of blood, dry"
"hhmmm i don't like how this is going, but this meant that she probably got caught either here or the streets, maybe even when running away?" she says with some doubt

Aingael sighs. "We might need to speak to her mother. Perhaps we should speak with her mother. She might know more." 

Aingael stops as he goes over to a window and touches it. "There's scratches along the edge. It's likely whoever took her came in through the window." 

"Any ideas on what it could have done this?"
Io looks down the window to see anything that could be used to enter the window, trying to figure out if whatever came in could fly or not
"Better rule out all possibilities just in case "

Io, as you look down the window, you see Grislin staring up at you, flanked by one of his men. He whispers to them and points up at you. 

Io looks, waves her hand with a smile, turns back to her friends and says
"WE NEED TO RUN NOW!! He's here, Grislin is here! and he brought his men!"

"That's weird, her mother said that she disappeared after going in the woods. She must be hiding something..." Merrick distracts from the diary to think but then hears Io. "Wait, what? How did he found us? Doesn't matter, if we go outside we'll get straight to them so, we need to barricade the door, quick!" He rushes to the door and tries to block the doorknob with the chair. "How high is the window here?"

Thr window appears to be two stories tall.

"I have an idea it's crazy but it might be just enough crazy to work, i can create a cloud of fog while inside the building and we run past them while they are confused on what's going on, what do you all think? It needs to be quick though, and we can't barricade the doors!" Io says that and gets ready to cast the spell

"Okay, let's try this, we just need to step a bit back and wait until they get into the room so we can sneak past them in the fog. I have a charm spell that could be useful, but it would only work for one person." Saying that, Merrick looks into the window once more to see what Grislin is doing. Is he coming in the house?

Grislin is waiting outside, crossing his hands. "You cowards think you're so tough. Well why don't you come down and face me so we can finish this?!"

"I just got another idea, maybe it's the stress that's making my mind overworking now, but we could when we let them in, do the cloud and i can use a magical hand to lock the door, since they will be confused  and won't be able to see" Io looks at one hand then the other "aahh hhmm yes i think we can do that, plus we can finally face Grislin, also if we are gonna face him tell me i will shoot something from over here to piss him off even more " she says with a small laugh
"Just tell me both of you, you think we can face him? or do we leave it for another time?"

Aingael shrugs. "We could take him or at least go up close to him to question him." 

Merrick looks from the window with annoyance and yells "What's your problem? It's you and your gang chasing us for some reason while we're just walking around the town minding our business. If you want to fight than you come here!"

He nods after hearing Io's plan. "If we really fight them, then we'll have way better position here. I would agree with the smoke plan. As for questioning... I doubt he will tell us anything, but it's possible to use a charm spell, if we manage to separate him from that guard."

Io looks at Merrick confused
"What's his problem?" she sighs"Where do i even start?" she sighs again" if you want i can write a book later about that but it doesn't matter, about the plan" she looks at the interior of the room then the door
"That's the great thing, if they come we can lock them from the inside and since they will be confused on what's happening and basicly blind they won't be able to open the door.... I hope and we can just face him more or less while him beeing outnumbered, problem is if this plan fails we will be attacked from all sides"
