"I think you have to be a bit more specific than that to get my aid at least." Etrigan continues, still outside the room. "Do you want us to destroy the rest of the pillars?"
He the turns to his companions and whispers. "The text on the Sarcophagus simply says may you live forever as you wished, trapped among your works of wickedness."He then shrugs as he has no idea how that is helpful.
Belovaar laughs dryly, "I don't know how much more specific I can get besides shaking on the deal! Vast stores of knowledge and power I can grant you with just a mere handshake!" He looks around the the room for a moment, "The pillars? Oh yes, destroy them! I'm sure they just put them up for decoration!"
Athyra looks back and forth between Etrigan and Belovaar as they talk. After the wizard's last remark she speaks up, "Sooooo, do you need just him or are all of us included in this deal? What do the rest of us gain from this? AND what's the first thing you want to do when you are free?" She says all of this in an oddly cheerful voice.
Belovaar laughs wryly. "Oh no any of you are welcome to partake in the deal! Just come and shake on it! And once I am free I can share all my work and findings with you and continue right where I left off! Really there's no reason why you shouldn't help me! All those wishful wistful Order members were just jealous of all the amazing insights and advances I made!"
"The pillars might be the works of wickedness that is trapping him. I have some trouble seeing how we can reform the razed pillars though. Any suggestions?" Etrigan turns and whispers to Athyra and Rohesia, then turning and smiling to Belovaar again. "And just how would a handshake set you free then if I might ask?" The demon asks politely.
Belovaar doesn't answer right away. "Oh it's really a very simple arcane process really put in effect when we lock hands. Nothing more than say, signing a contract!"
Etrigan nods and smirks. "A simple arcane process that will drain us from our life I assume?" He says and chuckles. Meanwhile he orders the invisible Zasz to look at the still standing pillars, and the razed ones, for clues on how to reform Belovaar's prison.
There is no reply from Belovaar for a minute. "I think I've been more than forthcoming about things here, so either come assist me or you will all stay down here with me forever!"
You notice that only 2 pillars (one near Belovaar, one near the entrance) are out of place. They are not broken though.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Rohesia initiative: 3)
Rohesia remains silent as the others speak. She wants to just taunt this Lord Belovaar into attacking, still thinking he may not be able to actually leave his room without help. Or just charge in there and take care of him. But she holds back to see where this banter goes.
"Alright I've heard enough," Athyra says wryly, "How about we make a new deal? We will set you free... just not in the way you are asking." With that she draws her swords.
Initiative: 22
She points one sword at Belovaar, and cast's hunters mark on him. "Prepare to die!"
Then she rushes towards him and tries to slash his chest and neck.
To hit:12
Damage:6 +5
To hit:8 (critical fail)
Damage:6 + 5
(Man it seems like there's something wrong with the dice roller.)
"Quickly, I believe returning the two displaced pillars will reimprison Lord Belovaar." Etrigan says grimly and uses his black rod to vanish from sight. He then unfolds his wings and flies into Lord Belovaars crypt, hovering by one of the pillars to try to push it in place again.
"Alright then!" Athyra says, as she activates the ring of invisibility.
Once she can, she will move over to one of the pillars, and start trying to push it back into place. (Should we roll to see if we ended up at the same pillar?)
Strength: 2 (crit fail) (This is getting ridiculous lol.)
(Sorry, I thought we were rolling initiative and in combat? Are we not yet? At what point should Rohesia be able to take actions? And since I'm asking... did Athyra get to Belovaar before the skeletons existed? Are the skeletons between us and Belovaar? Or can I just bypass them and go right for him?)

Etrigan Arcana: 16 Another roll in case Zasz has any help to give on the subject: 11
You can tell there is some connection between the pillars in the room and the inscription on the coffin.

(I need you all to roll initiative!)
Etrigan tries to determine if the out of place pillars conceivable could be pushed back in place again.

The pillars aren't particular far off their base, you could certainly try and push them back.
Lord Belovaar screams and a pair of skeletons rise from one of the crypts and begin lumbering towards Etrigan! (They will reach you next round)

(He did, just getting things ready and in order :) )
