Drawing my bow, I aim to take down the pest.

The six legged fiend drops to the ground dead.

Thagakh still needs to make a saving throw for constitution from poisoning.

Boghadair checks to see if there is still a giant spider moving and fires an arrow at it, whether it actually is moving or not.

"Sometimes you have to be really sure with these creepy crawlies"  he says.

One last twitch from the spider but surely dead.  Thagakh’s orc blood fights off anymore effects from the spider bite.  No other movement from the building, most of the webs have been shredded by fire and battle.  Either a search of the building or onward towards the tower.

I go back to burning the rest of the webs away from the road and building.  As I burn I am looking for more danger and treasure.

Thagakh salvages any roasted spider limbs for eating and surveys the building inside for secret traps or doors.

Boghadair retrieves whatever arrows he can and then helps the others search the building.

The corpse of an unfortunate adventurer is cocooned in spider silk in the western half of the building. The body is shriveled up and sucked dry, but appears to have been a male elf. The body wears studded leather armor and a shortsword in the scabbard at its hip. A careful search also yields a potion of healing in a belt pouch, along with 23 gp and 35 sp.

With the vast amount of knowledge of the mystic arts the half-orc possess (which is nearly nonexistent), Thagakh tries to feel if the items found are of magical in nature.

Other than the healing potion, no other magical items detected.

"If no one objects, I'd like to give the short sword to our new Goblin friend," Akaas says. "I believe he is trustworthy and should be able to defend himself since he is accompanying us on this dangerous adventure."

I am ok with him having the armor and sword. To droop, “If you stick the sword in any of us, I will personally separate your limbs from your body.”  Says with a wink and a growl.

Lets get to the tower.  Does anyone remember what race Reidoth was .... not elf?

At the top of the hill stands a round tower with a cottage attached. Both are in good condition, although half of the tower’s roof is gone. A door leads into the cottage, and several arrow-slit windows are visible in the tower. You can’t help but notice an eerie quiet in the area and a strange, acrid smell in the air.

 The corpses of two hideous giant spiders are sprawled near the edge of the pathway, apparently dragged there. Their bloated bodies are puckered and blistered, and appear to have been mauled by a large animal.

"A larger animal than a giant spider looks like it mauled the spiders and dragged them here.  Fer crying out loud!  Isn't anything normal sized in these woods?" Boghadair says in an exasperated way. 

"That...I don't think that's Reidoth. Although, isn't he a druid? I wonder..." Tyrus contemplates for a moment before saying "If it was not his doing, then perhaps I should be in front here."

Ian takes a position near Tyrus.  Advancing towards the tower, He dons shield and Morningstar.  Looking for any signs of life.
