As you emerge from the pit, you notably don't see Ayo's team behind you. They must have taken the other route.
At the far end of this cavern, there is a dark tunnel that rises steeply. There is an unusually strong current flowing out of the tunnel which would make it difficult to swim through.
Gan frowns when he notices the current. If the current is stronger than where they currently are, he looks to see if there's any sign of where it might not be as strong (eg along the edges of the tunnel), or where there might be rocky outcroppings and the like that they could pull themselves along.
Gan, the tunnel definitely has cracks and protrusions that can facilitate pulling yourself along as you see Yabo start doing. As you look around though, you notice something else. Nestled in the sand near the base of the tunnel and wrapped in seaweed you find a heavy stone tablet with strange glyphs caved into it.
Yabo you are able to claw your way along the side of the cavern.
Oni, roll an additional athletics for advantage if you are using the rope Yabo tied to himself
Igreis will continue his new strategy of moving by constantly trading places with his echo when things get harder to move. He will keep his weapon at the ready incase they come across anything else that may try to attack him.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gan looks at the glyphs on the tablet.
”That can’t be good,” He says while pointing at the tablet.
He thinks of heading towards it but when he catches sight of Yabo disappearing up the tunnel and the rope trailing behind, he lunges for the rope and uses that and the rocky outcroppings to pull himself along behind the big tortle.
Igreis, due to the rise of the tunnel, you are only able to see and manifest your echo about 15 ft. When you swap places you are right next to Yabo. The current starts pulling you back, but you are able to see to the end of the tunnel. It's dark but with your drow vision you see it open up into another larger cavern with smooth walls.
Baetrix rolls a 19 to join on to the rope train and her, Onizos, and Yabo are all able to reach Yabo's position 15ft into the tunnel as well.
Yabo, now supporting the three other adventurers will need to roll Athletics with disadvantage to clear the final 15ft of the tunnel
Despite the slower pace, Igreis will continue to use his echo to move along. If it gets to difficult he will attempt to move forward on his own, making sure to keep the echo close at hand.
Igreis, your next swap drops you into the dark cavern ahead. You no longer feel the pull of the current. It seemed to be unnaturally localized to the tunnel. Yabo drags the rest of the party through the final 15 ft and emerges from the tunnel next to Igreis.
The cavern is pitch black to those without darkvision. Even with darkvision, the cavern appears to be a dead end.
Onizos thanks Igreis for the spell, and immediately gets to musing. “You know,” he says, “That’s quite a trick, those pretty lights. They’d play quite well on the stage, wow the crowd. I can see it now, our poor protagonist lost in the nasty marsh on a moonless night, searching for his loved one who ran out into the dark after a lovers’ quarrel. How could he find her in this black morass? But lo, lights appear and dance about. Could it be a clue? Or more probably tricksome will o’ the wisps, here to tempt him to an awful doom…….”
He prattles on, apparently not too concerned that the party may have hit a dead end.

Oni is up for it (provided Yabo or one of the others goes first)

Yabo will tie off some rope to himself, and make his way up the tunnel, clinging to the sides of the tunnel if possible to bull his way forward.

14’s already pretty good athletics for Oni, who is much more lithe than he is strongly built, but he got a 15 on the advantage roll.

What a boss
Oni pats him on the shell and says “good job”
Then he wonders if Yabo could even feel him patting him on his shell…?
If Yabo still needs help beyond his amazing strength rolls, Gan is ready to add a little Guidance
((Might as well. Can always boost him later too. Extra strong 🐢: 3))

”You don’ts put a magicky glyph on a tunnel that doesn’t go no wheres.” Gan says.
He swims towards the other walls and starts looking for cracks, concealed entrances and the like, giving himself guidance as he does.
