The earth trembled and shook as the wooden brace that supports the entire column broke apart releasing dirt and rocks from above down onto unsuspecting mummies.
As the cavern near the middle has a higher ceiling the stalagmites fell with vengeance. And the large boulders followed. Mummy 4 and 3 was effectively been given its final rites and burial.
Mummy 2 was near the exit and was only affected my the slide. It was pinned down and knocked prone by dirt and rocks and was dealt 12 damage.
So focused on the kill Tommy still does not know Jerry has recovered. Tommy drops his bow and charges the pinned mummy. His body takes on a cat like shape as he flows claws and fangs.
Tommy cast primal savagery
You channel primal magic to cause your teeth or fingernails to sharpen, ready to deliver a corrosive attack. Make a melee spell attack against one creature within 5 feet of you. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 acid damage. After you make the attack, your teeth or fingernails return to normal.
I'll make you pay I'll kill you and unbury your friends and kill them again.
Cocozan saw his friends rage, he grabs his club from his waist. He walked towards Tommy and casted shillelagh as a bonus action and swung down on the prone mummy.
Hit :13
dmg: 8
The hit killed the mummy.
END OF COMBAT.
Cocozan dropped his club and placed his hand on the shoulder of his bewildered friend. He used his entire hand (open palm) to distract then to direct Tommy's gaze towards the bobcat.
"Release your rage my friend. We are now safe, mine thanks to you and Jerry."
He lets go of Tommy and looks to Muriel.
" Nice timing, thanks for the rescue. Oh, to answer your question of what you have missed: one of us got badly hurt but you were in time to bury the b#$7@&#s."
"Aye, I would do what any of you would have done for me. As evident on our last misadventure."*chuckles*
"I am just glad he was not beyond help."
Cocozan's eyes lit up as he remembers the most recent event and how they survived it.
"I have not read of a non-druid taking a more beastly shape like that! on that note our monk's spell of teleportation was magnificent! The mummy's glare is cold and intense. I have so much to study and record, I am glad I did not perish."
Cocozan looked to Muriel who have been quiet.
"Are you alright? You have been taciturn lately that it worries me."
Beastly shape? Tommy cast primal savagery again. Oh the claws. No idea how it works. Just remember watching Jerry hunt one day and wished I could hunt like him. Next thing I know claws and fangs. I will say though taking down a deer with your body does not work very well when you only weigh like 40 pounds.
Tommy opens his vest to show a scar. The bugger got me for my effort. Guess that's why Tommy hunts rabbits and birds.
Looking at Muriel. Miss Muriel how did you do that poof and thing where you disappeared and reappeared some where else. Not much of your kind in my neck of the woods. Is that something your master who sa whats his name teach you?

Muriel replies, "I am a Eladrin Elf, and the ability to cast the misty step spell comes naturally to my kind, due to the fact that we are creatures of magic ourselves. However, my master the great monk Jashin did help me realize my ability."

OOC: Hey you guys, I got school so I won't be able to post till 4:00. Also, do we gain ant XP?
(ooc: yes we do gain exp. the adventure table did mention to pool it until the end of the adventure and divide it into 3. one thing I will say, our current adventure will give TONS of exp. just the mummies are 2800exp and the adventure exp is about 10,000(divided by 3) so it will be worth it.
I am going to post the third threat after this though we always wait for input so no worries.)
Cocozan thought back to the town as they past the last house of the dilapidated town.
"I believe it may have been tunnels that goblins or orcs used to attack the town. I would say they have been successful considering the state of the town when we saw it."
He then thought about the mummies.
"The mummies might be revenge against the town's attackers. Hatred runs deep unfortunately."
Cocozan ruminates on the events that might have caused the town's collapse and shook his head. He smiled to Tommy and said:
"Anyways, as a shapeshifter myself, I know what you mean about size. I tried taking down a buck as a wolf once and it did not work quite well. I think that is why wolves hunt in packs."
History: 19. Wolves? Like a big dog? Tommy thinks for a few moments. I've herd stories about them from my gran but I've never seen one. In the woods I grew up in the apex predator is a Jaguar. Didn't know they hunt in packs. My gran would just always say if your out after dark the big bad wolf is going to get ya. Keep us in side. Now days they say better watch your back cause here comes the cat. Tommy chuckles at his memories and looks off into the distance. Wonder where gran learned about wolves? Hey your a shape shifter right. When its safe to do so can you turn into a wolf so I know what a big bad wolf looks like. Tommy laughs quite hard. A bit too hard for the lame joke. ahh I needed that think I was a bit shook after that last fight.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
History roll: 12 Nature roll: 14
Cocozan was glad for the conversation as he likes learning about things from other places he have not been.
"I remember my grandfather had a tome about a completely different clime called jungles or rainforests and how it differs with our usual forests. A creature called Jaguar can be found there. According to the tome, it is an individualistic predator that likes to hunt on its own. it is very large for a cat and is very aggresive." (History)
"That is as far as I know. I have not seen one myself but I am very interested in studying such an beast." (Nature roll)
He then thought back to his own forest and studies.
"A wolf pack though, I have seen a lot of. I used to converse with them in their minds using spells that I do not have currently. They have a very noble personality, putting the good of the pack before itself."
Jungle never herd of it but my woods is much warmer and wetter then this one.....think I've herd one of the tall folk use that term before too. Huh weird thought he was just off his rocker
The conversation continued for a while as they make their way through brush and branches.
After traversing thick brush for 30 minutes they pushed away the canopy to reveal houses up in the trees. They are made of wood and seem to be in good form. The trees and its almost golden bough seems too different from the lush green all around it as if giving the sense that the set of trees with houses are royalty among tree kind. The steps, whilst made of wood was carved and supported by thick branches. and the houses have a soft glow to it making it more mesmerizing.
As everyone seems to be looking up, a faint shine of a tripwire seems to be underfoot.

He flopped down the floor.
"That... was tough." As he chuckled.
Tommy's eyes fall to Jerry and he rushes over to scoop up the cat.
You need to be more careful silly. If your cast back to the primal plane I'm not sure if you can come back.
Tommy gathers his bow and exits the caves. Not letting Jerry go the hole while.
Tommy puts up a marker by the holes. BEWEAR UNDEAD BELOW.
Thank you for helping Jerry Friends
