The walls of the tree houses are covered in bioluminescent mushrooms which gives it a gentle glow. the wood that was used on the walls are favourable growing material for the mushroom so the whole place is literally glowing. Considering the hardwood for the floors, the darker tint of the walls and the cover from the canopy up above, the glow of the mushrooms feels like the place is still occupied by creatures able to live together and harness the abilities of the plants and fungi around them. The creatures are long gone but their creation still exists today.
It really is a magnificent sight to behold.
(ooc: I do not know why I am trying to do a flourish when our third threat is literally a hole in the ground... and the check is the easiest for ALL THREE of the party. lol)
Cocozan and Tommy along with Jerry have settled for some rest as Muriel still walks down the treehouse.
" If you perceive that it is safe, I will oblige. I wonder if they left any tomes around. What kind of advancements have they done compared to other forest dwellers. I am intrigued."
(Muriel, passive perception of 13 to pass the threat then its time for a short rest)
After some rest, the party ventured onwards until they found a granite cave with very smooth rounded walls. They ventured in trying to figure out the mysteries of the constructions when 30 ft in, 3 goblins have blocked the entrance shooting arrows against the party! At the opposite end of the short 120 ft cave is water with a chuul emerging out of it.
The party were baited by the goblins to be sacrifice for the chuul. Time to end this folly!
START OF COMBAT ROUND 1.
TURN ORDER: Chuul, Goblin 2, Tommy and Jerry, Cocozan, Muriel, Goblin 3, Goblin 1.
Chuul advanced 30 ft to the pt. It is now 90ft away.
Cocozan with 13 passive perception was also looking up and somehow did not trigger the trap.
"I agree, the glow is very intriguing. Maybe there are tomes inside."
He started touching the walls and rubs his fingers
