„Jarsali, try to remember all details of your vision or, better yet, write down what you experienced. We are in contact with scholars of the Cobalt Blue that are investigating the meaning of the visions and, possibly, the relation with the ruidum. It is important that we relay all details to them.“ Tex says to Jarsali after she speaks about her vision. „Yes, I agree, we should move with haste. They are warned and each minute we waste they can use to prepare or hurry on the ritual.“
(OOC: still traveling with intermittent internet. From Saturday on I should be back to more regular posting.)
"Jarsali is awake though her condition to continue with us is in question. For now I rather leave her back there to rest as we continue" whispers Bellamy to where he assumes Zane is standing
"Thank you all for your concern"Jarsaliwheezes, "I can continue on, just catching my breath is all, felt like the wind got knocked out of me..." She looks to Tex"I will not forget it, as you will not forget yours. Do me a favor though, do not tell the Cobalt Soul about my experience...we have a.... history. And I will seek my own answers without them"
Zane says, "If everyone is up and about, then we should probably continue with this tunnel. It seems to lead east. Any idea where it might end up, Jarsali? Abandoned mines or something? Anyway, I'm still invisible for a bit and will go ahead. I'll drop a playing card every 100 feet or so, just so you know I'm still there and ahead of you."
He will stealthily continue to go down the same one he already explored. Stealth check: 15. Time left on invisibility.. 30 minutes? He cast it before climbing down from the bridge.
Rel's idea made Lana's eye flash in epiphany. "Wait, is the full Red Moon tonight or tomorrow? I think you are right, the ritual has to be bound to a full moon!"
However, whether this was the case or not, first they had to find the ritual site. Lana looked around. Heavy load, regularly carried off away from the water had to leave some tracks. Should she find some (Survival: 18 + 2 if Guidance) she will point them to others - especially Zane - and follow them.
"Hmmmm..." Jaraslisays in reply to Zane's question "I think that continues to lead more towards the eastern coast of Damali, I seem to have my bearings set a little bit off at the moment. Still a tad light headed. I think we need to continue that way though. Ready to move along on your word."
Lana, the most recent tracks you can see lead down the Eastern path that Zane has begun to scout.
As the others begin to proceed, she lingers a moment to search the bodies of the slain guards for anything other than mundane gear. She uses her Mage Hand to handle anything she takes. With most of her things in the handy haversack, she uses her empty backpack to separate what she takes. At a minimum, the sending stone. The pouches of ruidium dust, she keeps at a safe distance and hides in a dark nook for later recovery.
Once done, she follows behind, watching for pursuers as her Bless fades away, calling instead on her father's divine guidance.
Rel, each of the guards has a small pouch of the same dust the was used. Using your Mage Hand you carefully place them in a dark corner. You go to retrieve the Sending Stone but once you grasp it, it crumbles to dust. (Beyond this, they wear leather armor underneath their robes though both are mostly unusable at this point due to the damage from the battle.)
I would like to know how you all wish to proceed into the Eastern tunnel. If you are going stealthily it will slow your pace and I will need a group stealth check. Also an exact marching order will be needed. The tunnel ahead is wide enough for two people to be side by side if you choose to do so. The Zhelezo will go where you tell them. Jarsaliis choosing middle of the group as she continues to catch her breath from the encounter. I currently have Relin the rear and Zane and Lana at the front.
Zane says, "We should make haste to give them less time to prepare any nasty surprises for us, maybe even catch the woman if the tunnel is long enough. I'll go 50 feet ahead until my invisibility lasts. Follow me."
Zane, leading the way at a moderate pace to try and speed things along, you begin to hear the sounds of water once more after about 30 minutes of walking. Gesturing the others to stop while you investigate, you find yourself at a rope bridge that spans itself over rocky crevasse with a rushing stream at the bottom. At first glance there appears to be no way across other than the rope bridge. At this moment, your invisibility wears off but luckily, their appears to be nobody around.
“I might be the lightest or Bellamy, I’m not sure, but anyway this will not save us when it breaks as soon as someone heavier steps on it. Let us also make sure that there is not a well hidden way on this side with the bridge just being a distraction. I mean, they carried heavy ore this way, it should either be a solid bridge, or there is, in fact, another way.” Tex reasons and searches for tracks with Rel’s guidance. (Survival: 13-1+3=15)
Rel indeed continues to provide guidance as needed, keeping in mind that she can only concentrate on one person at a time.
She summons her Mage Hand and attempts to place its pressure on parts of the bridge within range (30') that would be walked upon to test it. She also muses quietly, "my mother's henchmen would sometimes set up ambushes at such spots, far below the surface. Biding their time hidden until the group they planned to attack were split, with some having crossed, some in the midst of crossing, and some not yet crossed."
"Agreed let us make hast so we can stop this ritual. If Jarsali needs rest she can stay here as we proceed" says Bellamy.
He heads to the east giving up an sens of stealth. Hoping Zane will warn them if there is something amiss ahead.
Zane had stopped and got confused.
But he sees Bellamy approach and says quietly, "Pst, me here. It looks safe. How's Jarsali?"

Bellamy will forgo stealth and will be behind Zane. 2nd in marching order from front to back. Giving him the distance he requested to scout ahead.
Tex will be next to Bellamy or just behind him and Lana if Lana wishes to go in second row. Tex remains mounted on Lizzy and walks a normal pace.

Lana is good at the front. With Zhelezo incapable of stealth anyway, she will go full speed.

Zane waves the others closer. "We need the lightest person to go first, tied to a rope, just in case it's been compromised on the other side."
He will investigate the near end of the bridge for any tampering: 17

"Good point." Lana joined the search for another way and any abnormalities around. (Perception: 9+4 (if guidance))

Bellamy patiently waits to see if the others finds anything amiss. He looks down the chasm to see if there is something down there.
