"Brilliant!" Andre shouts gleefully at Marnoa's idea. "But we need to remember to interrogate the wombats before running off into the woods... I'm getting mighty suspicious of them giant rodents..."

"Well, er, yes," Fuego responds to Old Ulf, "I just wanted to clarify if it was directly west or perhaps a little north or south of that. Very good. Thank you. Enjoy your... carrots."
He then turns on his heel and marches out after the others.
Olf Ulf strives to catch your communal eye before you leave. "Don't abuse them wombats! Prior to chasin' my boy, they ain't never harmed no-one. Someone's done someit to them. Find that someone!"
“Question for you, if you may, dear Ulf. Outside of those in the pen, have there been any new wombats that come in and become part of the pack, as it were? Did they come in from the west side of town?” Marnoa looks at him and observes his answer.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Old Ulf grumbles, "You think I ain't thought a that? You think I be dim? Course there ain't nothin' new with the wombats. Damn lazy beasts are just that: damn lazy beasts. It's some person that's doin' this to ruin me and mine!"
Fuego pauses before exiting. "Someone? Who would want to ruin you? Do you have some enemy or feud? Are there rival poop-producers out there that would benefit from your town's troubles??"
“Are there problems when the poop can’t be compacted into perfect cubes? Are the wombats having diarrhea, or are they constipated, holding onto their poop like it’s money. Literally. Who’s trying to take control of your crap business?” Marnoa can’t keep from grinning, then covers his mouth with his hand.

Jacks finishes his carrot cocktail, the straw making slurping sounds as the orange liquid reaches the bottom. He pushes the glass away, frustrated that the liquor wasn’t as strong as he hadn’t hoped. But maybe staying sober is a good thing. He dabs his lips with his handkerchief, then tucks it back into his chest pocket.
“Let’s go dig up the pen and get this thing moving.” He says princely, not intending to do the digging.
You all file out of the tavern and make your way back to the pen. The wombats, the drawing, even the poop seems to have moved not-at-all in the period you've been away. What would you like to do?
Marnoa stands at the edge of the pen watching, and as Andre is wrestling the wombat, he uses gust to push any other wombats back as Andre frisks and interrogates the subject. Periodically, he uses gust and prestidigitation alternatively to make farting sounds and smells as the wrestling goes on. He snickers and suppresses a laugh. After it is over, he uses prestidigitation to clean any errant wombat poo off of Andre’s clothes.

When you reach the pen, Andre climbs over the fence to grab one of the wombats. When he does this, the wombats move together, with surprising speed, and surround Andre. Wombats don't really growl, but these wombats are hooting very aggressively. When Andre attempts to grab a wombat, the wombat manages to wrench itself out of Andre's grasp. All the wombats close ranks on Andre attempting to bite and push at his lower legs. Marnoa's cantrip is surprisingly ineffective against the very determined creatures.
Andre, I need you to make a STR check of DC 14 or you will be pushed over. (Note: you probably don't want to be pushed over). You also take 15 hp of damage.
(If y'all would like to see where I'm getting my wombat stats, look here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/400184-wombat. The wombat rolled a 17 to escape Andre's clutches and the DC 14 came from the 14 times Andre was hit. One was a crit)

"Technically they are Marsupial. They have belly pockets. Maybe we should check their pouches to see if they're hiding anything"
“Frisk ‘em, Morty!” Marnoa says with a half grin on his face, his eye whirs around to regard him.
