Fiske will assist with the investigation (not like he's very good at it though lol) 8 "Well these were a lively bunch weren't they?" he sighs as he picks through whats left.
“I dint think ah.” Jetsam answered. He stepped to the bandit captain and jerkers his crossbow bolt from the back of his head, shaking off any brain residue still on it.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
The idea is simple, well simple in my head. One or two of us probably Fiske or I, you seem like the best to fool them, and locate the kids. The rest will walk in provide the distraction. So if things go south which me thinks it will when they go to kill the kids we will be in a better position to stop em. What yall thibk

As everyone discusses the plan, Tommy notices a wall of iron in the horizon. 300 ft. away on top of a hill clear of trees seems to contain an abandoned fort. along the battlements are turrets that seem to be in disrepair. they are manned by a bandit each.
You cannot see into the fort and such cannot fathom the number of enemies within. You are left to decide if you are going to knock at the broken down gates with your swords and axes or if you will try to take out the guards first and enter.
The distance allows for an action before combat begins.
Tommy: (You have noticed that for the size of the fort, the amount of bandits that guards it is far too little to be a hideout. This is probably an outpost for the bandits to keep their base safe.)
(With your absurdly perceptive watch and exceptional tree climbing skills, you have also discerned that there are 2 Captains, 2 thugs and 2 more bandits inside the fort other than the two that is on the turrets. They are grouped next to a campfire in the middle of the ruins keeping warm.)
(You have also discerned that the skies are getting darker in the afternoon as the sun gets blocked out by rain clouds and the winds have picked up.)
(With your exceptional perception, you also noticed they cooked beans for lunch and have butchered a fawn that they will be dressing for dinner)
(not to mention, one of the captains is faking a stomachache to get out of dishwashing duty)

Ok Tommy says protect my body. He then tossed Birdie into the air. Sitting down hus eyes glaze over and he starts discribeing everything as he sees it from Birdies eyes.
(Do I see a path we can sneak up and toss a Aoe spell inti the group)
(Hey, guess what! Assuming it works this way, I no longer have disadvantage on stealth checks! Cause heavy armor gives you disadvantage, I’m assuming cause of sound, and the boots of elvenkind give you advantage on sound-based stealth checks! Wahoo!)

Tommy takes a stick and draws the layout of the area.
"We are here, the layout is like that. Here in the middle is the group by the fire. If we approach from here, it's the closest we can get before our last point of cover snd concealment. Beready to charge. I want to sneak up and push a guard off the top. Then we van rain death from above as the heavy charge in. Leading with an AoE spell ro soften them up. What am I missing?"

“not sure if my spike growth can go through the walls but if I can get on the other side discreetly that’ll mess them up quite nicely. Shall I jump in my ring and you carry me over? Can also have my imp fly me to a good spot..”

Hadrian checked on the other Bandit captain, thug and bandit whilst recovering his Javelin.

Hadrian found some tattered clothes that might still pass up as disguise.
"They are usually tattered anyways right?"
He went back to the others and discussed the plan ahead.
"Something in your mind Tommy? This would be more recon than extraction if only one of us can get in."

Jetsam grinned. “Sounds good. I can be a good distraction.”

Hadrian considers the plan. "Just so you know, if you get found out in the middle of recon, you are on your own until we rejoin. Regardless, I am in."

(the gates are wide open, as long as the guards up the battlements (turrets) are dispatched quietly, we can sneak in using the diminished light)
Tommy relays all this before his eyes return to normal.
That was cool never tried that before

"Ooo can your Imp fly you up to this tower here" Tommy points to the other tower.
"We can then rain down on them giving Hadrian and Jetsam the time they need to rush in"
