As Tyto steps closer and places his reassuring hand on her shoulder, Swan glances at him with gratitude for his support. His wise words resonate within her, reminding her of her own strength and the trust she must have in her abilities.
"Thank you, Tyto," Swan whispers back, her voice filled with conviction. "I will not falter. I believe in myself and in the purpose of this fight—to protect the people who can't do so themselves."
With Tyto's encouragement echoing in her mind, Swan steps forward to the center of the circle, her amber eyes locked onto Langdedrosa. Her grip tightens around her spear, shield on her arm, the weight of her duty settling firmly upon her shoulders. "I'm ready. Let's begin."
As Cerau walks the girls back to the keep, they keep looking back to her mother who was left with the kobolds. When Cerau introduced herself, the little girl hid her face and eyes in Cerau's arms. Asked, the teenage boy turns to Cerau "I'm Reegar" he says. "I know... I hope so..." he says looking back to the ring of torches behind you.
Swan:
As Swans gets her ready, Langdedrosa does as well. He however, keeps his spear in both his hands, without a shield.
The circle now hosts only the blue scaled dragonborn, and amber eyed woman. You both slowly shift places around the center facing your opponent but seconds, maybe minutes later you both decide to attack.

Swan closes the distance between herself and Langdedrosa, her amber eyes lock onto him, searching for any opening or weakness. With a sudden burst of speed, Swan strikes with her spear, its metal tip gleaming as it cuts through the air. She aims for Langdedrosa's defenses, seeking to exploit any gap in his guard. Then with a twirl, she hits again with the blunt end of her spear.
The first swift thrust takes the dragonborn by surprise. The tip of the spear hit's his arm sending blood stained scales of armor and his own to the ground. Then Swan twirls with a grace of a dancer and the blunt end of the spear smashes the blue snout.
The dragonborn growls in surprise and drops to one knee looking at the blood covered left arm and raising a hand to bleeding snout. You can see he spits one tooth to the ground.
With one swift motion he raises and lunges an attack.
First, while still kneeling, he thrusts with his spear upwards.
Attack: 21 Damage: 10
With his second attack he aims for Swan's leg.
Attack: 16 Damage: 6

The surprise attack hits and Swan feels the spear tearing her arm in a similar way, she just seconds before hit the dragonborn. Parts of her armor and blood fall to the ground.
The thrust was very powerful and Swan takes a step back to keep the balance and that saves her from the thrust to the leg. The spear hits the ground and blue dragonborn looks with anger and hate into Swan's eyes.
The koblds are cheering. For a moment you can hear "Grahh sann! Grahh sann!" chanted in draconic but it stops with an angry look from the dragonborn.
Translation, if you know draconic:
"Kill her! Kill her!"

Swan grits her teeth, feeling the searing pain in her arm from the dragonborn's vicious counterattack. Blood drips from the wound, staining her armor. She glances at the fallen scales and the spilt blood on the ground, ignoring the pain and the throbbing ache in her arm, she grips her spear to attack again.

With a grace of an elven sword dancer, Swan jumps in the air and thrusts down pinning the dragonborns leg. The spears head gets burried deep in the scales as she lands on the ground, she twists her wrist and the other end of her spear heads straight into dragonborns head. He manages only to lift his arm, however the swing filled with holy wrath simply shatters bones in the raised limb.
His left arm is broken and useless...
In the dragonborn eyes for the first time you see fear. He can berly stand. In the act of desperation he takes a deep breath and uses his lightning breath.
Please roll DC13 Dex save. On a failed roll Swan gets 21, while half of it on a successful one.

A blinding flash of lightning erupts from the dragonborn's mouth, engulfing Swan. She feels the searing heat courses through her body, electrifying her senses. Pain sears through her limbs, and her vision dims as the overwhelming force of the lightning consumes her. With a heavy thud, Swan collapses to the ground.
The lightning breath of a dragonborn engulfs Swan in electric cocoon. Her body tenses, her limbs twist in agony, her teeth almost breake with her jaw being closed with enormous strength of her agony.
As lightnings fade, her body colapses without life to the ground. The kobolds cheer as their master slowly rises from the ground.
The dragonborn takes two steps, but his body gives up. It's clear he is one step from similar state as Swan.
He tries to raise his spear, but it slips his grasp and falls to the ground.
"Let the woman go..." he tells quietly to a kobold, who takes a step to him. The kobold looks to his companions, who carefuly step away from the woman letting her go, but they keep a watchful eye on all of you.

"NOOO..."The white-haired elven maiden had almost thought the dragonborn defeated by Swan's bravery and mighty fighting skills and as the monster unleashes his lightning breath upon the blonde warrior she scrambles forward, throwing herself down by the fallen blonde warrior's side. "HEALING...HURRY!" She calls out back to the others with desperation in her voice, doing her best to keep Swan alive. "It's over Swan, you did it, you saved the townsfolk."She whispers softly, leaning forward, holding Swan's head in her hands. "Now stay with me, stay with me Swan."

"Reegar watch them," Cerau says quickly as she puts down the child and rushes forward. Feeling the phantom sting of lightning shooting up her legs each time her feet meet the ground, Cerau sweeps in next to Swan and Sabynn. She places her hand above the warrior's heart. "Brave warrior, let your spirit drift along the path of the moon,"As Cerau starts speaking there is a faint likeness of a crescent moon on the back of her hand but as she continues to speak softly the likeness changes and waxes towards the shape of a full moon. "May the Moonmaiden guide you back to me."
Cerau rushes to Swan's body lying on the ground. As she touches her skin, she still feels warm... Too warm even. Her skin is hot, as if she had a fever.
As Cerau casts her spell and the healing magic passes through her fingers, Swan's body arches for a split second but then... Nothing else happens.
Swan still lays unconcious.
The keeps gate slowly opens up and few of the people rush down to your location. The governor is among one of them...
"How is she? Is she is going to be ok?" He asks as soon as he gets near.
Soon some other people join you but you bearely notice it as you are focused on Swan, however a moment after the governor, there is an elderly man almost dragged by his arm by Escobert.
"Yes, yes my good man... I am comming... Don't rush me... I will be of no use with broken bones..." He says trying his best to keep up with the dwarf.
He comes to Swan and puts next to her a big box made of wood and leather. It takes almost ages for him to kneel down. "Yes... No serious bleeding... Yes, yes... Good job my dear..." He smiles to Cerau as he opens his bag and looks through some vials. As he took a small vial with some liquid, he mutters "Yes, this should help... Yes..." When he took the cork out a strong smell is sensed all around. He put the vial next to Swans head, but she remains unmoved. "Strange... Yes, yes..." He took a notebook and a lead pencil and he did some notes repeting "Yes, yes..." Every few seconds.
After that, he took some opaque crystal and put it on Swans forehead. He positioned it carefully between her eyebrows. "Yes... That's good, yes... Your friend is young and strong. She will be alright, yes... She just needs time, yes?" He says with a smile.

Swan's consciousness slowly drifts back into reality, her senses gradually awakening to the voices and smells surrounding her. The first thing she registers is a warm presence cradling her head, and she opens her eyes to meet the worried gaze of the white-haired elven maiden, Sabynn. Weakness lingers within her body, but the familiar touch and gentle words gives her some comfort and reassurance.
"Cerau... Sabynn..." Swan whispers softly, her voice hoarse and weak. She feels the weight of the crystal on her forehead, recognizing the soothing energy it radiates. With effort, she lifts her hand to touch it, feeling its coolness against her fingertips. "Thank you... for your healing... and for being there."
She glances around, noticing the concerned faces of the governor and other familiar figures. As her gaze falls upon the elderly man, she offers a faint smile, sensing the depth of his knowledge and experience. "And thank you... for your aid, kind sir."
The lingering image of the serpent and the echoes of the mysterious voice remain etched in Swan's mind, leaving an indelible impression. She sits up, as she looks down at her hand, a sense of unfinished business fills her. As if there's something intangible yet significant, and she has to reach and grasp it.
But amidst all this, Swan's gaze turns towards the dragonborn and the woman who has been reunited with her children. A mixture of gratitude and respect fills her eyes as she acknowledges the gesture of releasing the hostages. With a nod of acknowledgment, she silently conveys her appreciation to Langdedrosa Cyanwrath, recognizing that despite her loss, there is room for honor and humanity.
