Swan can see the smoke rising from the straw roof of the farmhouse in the distance, and her heart sinks at the sight. As Sabynn shares her findings, Swan's face becomes even more solemn, her mind racing with the implications of what they've discovered. Without hesitation, she grabs her spear, her grip tight and determined. "Okay," she says, "We need to move quickly and quietly. If we can go around the house, we might be able to help the people without being noticed by the kobolds."
Swan takes a deep breath, steeling herself for what's to come. She looks to others to see if they agree with the plan. "We need to be cautious, but we can't let those people suffer any longer than they already have."
"Many of us can attack from a distance, without endangering the children. If there is only three of them for now then we should take the beasts out from here." Cerau whispers softly to Swan."I have a small ranged spell and Sabynn has her bow." Cerau looks out at the small beasts and thinks to herself - How could something so small cause so much destruction and misery? This is not what I imagined I would be facing when I set out from home.
Cerau, still holding one of the children, reaches up to her necklace and prepares to cast Toll the Dead on one of the kobolds at the first sign of danger.

Fire Tyto thinks, the same fire that warms your hands at camp can cause death and destruction. And yet, from death and destruction better things can grow...
"The most destructive fires lead to the most fertile soil..." Tyto mumbles almost inaudibly to himself, while the reflection of the flames dances in his eyes.
Could Mozilla..?
No, certainly not. This wasn't the forest. These were town folk, they lived under different laws. No good could ever come from the burning down of this town. It was time to stop these vile creatures from spreading chaos only for chaos' sake.
"Many of us can attack from a distance, without endangering the children. If there is only three of them for now then we should take the beasts out from here."
Tyto drew his longbow from his back, took an arrow from his quiver, and put it on the string. With a fierce determination he nodded to Cerau and Swan, waiting for a signal to shoot.
"Take the dwarf and go Swan, we can deal with the kobolds. Hurry now, they have already barricaded themselves in there."Sabynn says with urgency in her voice, ready to let her arrow fly.
“Narr, let's go."Swan says to him. As she sprints towards the burning building, Swan's heart pounds in her chest, a mix of fear and adrenaline surging through her veins. But she pushes aside her own feelings, focusing instead on the task at hand. Her companions are engaging with the kobolds, providing a distraction that will allow her to slip past hopefully unnoticed and help the people trapped inside.

Seeing Swan head off towards the building and Cerau and Tyto being ready to take out kobolds, Sabynn lets her arrow sail swiftly and silently through the night air towards the closest kobold (Kobold 1).

Sabynn let her arrow fly through the air. That was the signal Tyto had been waiting for. He aimed for the Kobold closest to the house (let's say Kobold #2), took a deep breath, and let go of the arrow.

Cerau holds the child closer to her, hoping the magic and the violence won't frighten them too much and as she reaches her hand out the wind carries her spell to Kobold #3. The sound of lightening striking a bell reverberates 30ft towards the creature with an unsettling lightness as she whispers, "Goddess, help me make this right."
OCC: For Toll the Dead the kobold will need to make a WIS14 save. If it fails: 7 of necrotic damage.

The kobolds were walking around the house.
They carefully passed some barrels and gardening equipment standing next to the wall and as soon as all three came out in the open, Sabynn let her arrow loose. Like a fast cobra, it struck clueless kobold in the chest.
A heartbeat later Tyto's arrow has struck another one in his arm. He cried for a brief moment as Wiri has sent crackling energy from her fingertips towards the creature giving him a powerful shock.
At the same time, the third one looked to his left, then to the right with a surprise and in the faint light you might saw dark lines of drained life on his snout. he stood that way for a moment as if fighting to keep his life inside his body but he failed and fell on the ground dead.
While this was happening Y'landrothiel has flapped her wings twice and has started to fly around the house. When she flew behind the house, Sabynn could sense her distress and panic. The owl has appeared a moment later above the roof of the house.
Here is the layout of the situation:
Team 1: Sabynn, Wiri, Tyto, Cerau and the family behind you.
Team 2: Swan and Narr
Team 3: current position of Y'landrothiel.
Initiative:

Cerau 4
Swan 7
Sabynn 17
Y'landrothiel 15
Narr 4
Wiri 5

From behind the house, on the opposite side where Swann and Narr are, a creature comes out.
Big, at least 6 feet long, strong feet, dark brown scales on the back, snout with sharp fangs and split tongue moving in and out from it's mouth.
His eyes are fixed on the team one and it starts to run towards you. He jumps over water with grace not expected from a creature of this size and attacks Tyto trying to take a bite of him.
Ambush drake attack: 21 for 2 dmg.

Tyto stretches out his arm with his palm towards the creature in a calming gesture. He says calmly "Recognize the tree by the fruit, never by the bark.", and casts Guidance on himself. Then, you can hear Tyto make animal-like sounds, deep guttural growls complimented by clicking sounds, towards the creature.
Tyto uses his racial trait 'Speech with Beast and Leaf' to communicate with the creature. This can only work if it is classified as a 'Beast'. He can not understand the creature in return.
Tyto says to the beast: "Let us free these people.", pointing towards the house "Your masters are dead." Now he points towards the stream and the forest behind it "Cross the stream and you will find a forest. You can be free. You gain nothing from this fight."
As Tyto tries to influence the creature using speech, I will roll a Persuasion check (with advantage as per the text of 'Speech with Beast and Leaf'): 16
Let me know if you think it's another check like Animal Handling (or feel free to roll the check yourself to save time). In any case Tyto can add 1d4 from Guidance to his check: 1
After that, without breaking eye contact with the creature, he adds in Common: "Make room for him to cross the stream. Attack only if he does first."
Wiri situates herself in front of the children and the injured man, watching Tyto seemingly attempting to speak with this creature. Hope appears in her eyes, but its appearance masks her thoughts, which are focused on the children behind her. Rather than attempt to interfere with whatever it is that Tyto is doing, the half-drow tightens the grip on her staff, ready to act should the firbolg's plan fail. She looks back to the injured man and speaks, her expression as measured and peaceful as ever. "Keep behind me. If the creature attacks I hope to frighten it, so that it will, at least, not wish to come nearer to me, you, or the children."
Closing her eyes to focus, Wiri whispers a verse in Undercommon, the guttural tone at odds with her songlike voice.
((Wiri readies an action to cast cause fear on the drake if the drake shows signs of aggression))
As the bizarre creature leaps from behind the house and hurtles towards the group, Swan's heart skips a beat. She looks back to see Tyto steps forward, his arms held out in a gesture of peace, attempting to calm the frenzied beast. Trusting her companion's abilities, Swan's attention turns towards the burning house, the flames licking the thatched roof and threatening to engulf it entirely. As she reaches the front door, she calls out to anyone inside, "We're here to help! Please come out! The house is on fire and we need to get you to safety! We'll take care of the kobolds!"
