Noxus can't help but laugh. "At all the monestreys I've been to, The Brothers and Sisters there are plump of of Wine!"
Ixsas looks shocked: "Maybe at a temple of Satyrs! You certainly wouldn't find such a thing at Master Jashin's monastery. 'Alcohol clouds the mind and interferes with the connection between a monk and his ki.' Learning to develop one's inner ki and to direct that energy requires discipline and practice in both mind and body. The Way is not open to drunkards!"
Jashin actually chcukles, amused at Ixsas's outrage, and Jashin says, "Ixsas, do you not remember Master Bo Rai Cho? He was a drunkard, and yet the martial art that he followed, Way of the Drunken Master, was a challenge even for me to adapt to in a fight. Do not underestimate a drunkards abilities. Now, it would be wise to get to the goblins designated location before night falls, if I am correct, goblins prefer the dark very much."

At that, Ixsas perks up. "True, but so do I." He smiles broadly, showing weirdly small and crooked front teeth. (His canine and molar teeth look normal.)
Now that Jashin has made his intention to move on clear, Ixsas drops all suggestion of further investigation here. Before they leave the town, Ixsas is interested in picking up a shortbow and a quiver of arrows. And maybe a handaxe. He has very little gold, but he is happy to scavenge gear from the hobgoblins. Or maybe the villagers would be willing to provide that gear now that he's part of the party.

During a barfight, I almost lost to a Drunkard, only because when enraged, Their body language during a fight becomes hard to read." Noxus Is Amused by this memory. "Ahhhh. The group move on with haste, and within an hour of non-stop traveling, they get to the site at sunset. The spot seems to be devoid of life, a bald spot in a forest. However, there seems to be a shrine dedicated to some kind of god. Jashin looks to Mithrellan, and says, "Well, there is your holy place, Mith."

"Hello, master dragon. What have you got there?" He tries to look more closely at the blue pearl. "Is that a gem stone? Or some sort of magic item?"
Gyg continues to roll the pearl between the fingers of his mage hand. With a Cheshire cat's smile, the faerie dragon replies, "It's a small pearl with a blue fog cloud inside. Magic, I'm assuming. As to its purpose, well, I suppose your guess is as good as mine."
As he listens to the group discuss monasteries and ale, Gygerax pokes a finger in the puddle, creating a rainbow-like rippling effect. Satisfied with his color-ey water, he looks up at the tallfolk, stretching again like a small cat. "I'm well-rested, Jashin, and I'm ready to move out whenever this lot is. The faster we move, the more lives we save, the more over-the-eye-wool we can pull."

(OOC: since you, BruenorBattlehammer_1, and I were posting a lot yesterday, I thought that I'd wait to let others catch up and post. I just wanted to ask a few clarifying questions, especially about scale and distances.
How big is the shrine? Is it a big multi-story 60'x100' temple? Or are we talking about a tiny alter in the forest, like this forest chapel?
How big is the clearing? That is, how far is it from one side of the bald spot to the other? And how far from the edge of the tree line to the shrine?
I'm just trying to figure out whether we could dash from the shrine back to the cover of the trees in one round. Similarly, if we're in the cover of the trees, and we send a scout to the shrine, can our ranged attacks reach all the way to the shrine?)

Th shrine is a simple small altar like the one you showed me, and the clearing is 50 ft wide and 40 ft long and is in a circular shape, making it short enough to where you can get to the cover of trees in one round. The altar is in the middle of the circular clearing.
