Bram steps up to the side of the boat, holds his hand out, and lets off a green beam of magic at the closest meat-blob.

"so gross, why couldn't we get cooler minions? I may have to change this part of the story in the retelling..."

Cinder sighed and stayed next to Joan as the boat took off, she couldn't believe how crazy the last few hours had been but it was definitely interesting. She just hoped she lived through it, she still had a few years to survive before she was free. As the drifted she watched the swamps around them and enjoyed the primal peace that it held, sure it was full of dangers but they only lasted a moment and was gone and peace returned.

As they reached darker waters Cinder stared at the loot passing them by in wonder, "Guys! Help me fish some of this junk out. If we can fix it or sell it for scrap we will be rich!" She looked around and paused when she heard the voices speaking Infernal, she stood up looking at the breaded form before huffing. "Let me try this!" Removing her cloak she showed her tiny but fit form in causal clothing, she smiled as she hopped on the side of the boat standing on a rail looking at the goblins. Snapping a finger, a pulse of magic occurred and settled inside her as she casts, Thaumaturgy on herself. Settling her feet she casts another can simple cantrip, a huge roaring bonfire erupts from around her as she shrieks at the goblins in Infernal but at thrice the normal volume. "YOU DARE INSULT YOUR BETTERS! I WILL SHREAD YOUR SOULS AND FEED THEM TO MY HELL HOUNDS YOU PATHETIC WORMS!"

Zaliey thinks to himself, “I wish I could shape shift right now.”  He draws his crossbow to ready for the attack.

“Ah, finally, a test of our mettle.” Cedrick says as he puts down the oar and picks up his mace and shield. “Before I unleash the furry of Helm on you, taste the rainbow of his radiance.”

Cast Sacred Flame on one of the meat monsters. If it fails its DEX saving throw (13) it takes 7 damage.

Zaliey waits until the lead humanoid is within 100 feet of the boat then uses his Chill Touch cantrip on the lead humaniod.  As he chants a ghostly hand projects from him and grabs the leader .   Chill Touch Attack: 7 Damage: 11 doing Necrotic damage.

Seeing everyone already throwing out skills, Sylrea quickly lifted her shield and flail. She went to the front and stood there. Ready to stop any of the globs from getting onto the boat.

The eldritch blast completely obliterates the glob, and the holy flames reduce another one to dust. The leader shrugs off the death magic, and flings a spear at Cedrick.

Cedrick looks pleased with his strike against the meat monster, then looks up  a second too late... An expertly thrown spear catches him right between the creases of his armor, sinking deep into his shoulder.

"Helm, protect them..." he gasps as he sinks to the ground unconscious. 

OOC: Cderick has either 0 hit points or -5... not sure how the 5e rules work on that. Will start to make death saving throws in round 2.

Zaliey frustrated with his first attack now cast magic missile at the leader sending all 3 darts at him.
