I also see that Gwrgi is up next in the initiative, and given the chewing Zladark has just taken I don't think she'd even waste time trying to come up with a clever remark. At least, not beyond the healing word that she utters with a graceful wave of her talon in his direction. The three 'wizard-fodder' [Tooltip Not Found] are just as clear about their preferred response, continuing their attack with a ferocity that only seems to grow the greater as their side sustains more losses.
Bullywug # attack (short axe, vs. Tarton) 6; damage if hits 4 slashing
Bullywug #2 attack (spear, vs. Zladark) 8; damage if hits 4 piercing
Bullywug #3 looks about in confusion for a moment as its previous target disappears, but as soon as it sees Saoirsirse emerging from the trees it charges towards her with a manic scream. It will take the entirety of this round to cross the distance between it and its new target, and will be ready to attack next round ... presuming it lasts that long LOL
(he's closest to the two tridenteers that are chasing him, and next closest to the original cove boss who is now obsessed with chasing down Artifex since that last taunt of theirs.)

The frothing ambush subleader is so intent on its pursuit of Artifex that it has forgotten the dangerous hobgoblin warrior it was fighting at the first. It is only when Uz' blade hums by its ear, a fraction of an inch away from taking off its head altogether (subleader's AC 16 ... literally 1 dice pip away from a hit ... :`-( ... ) that it realizes its mistake. Its popping amphibious eyes jerk and hop back and forth between its two closest foes, and for the moment it doesn't seem to know what to do next. (DC 13 WIS save for it to recover from its fear and confusion in time to act next round: [ r oll]1d20-2[/rol l].)
Saorsirse will nock an arrow, and draw back the yew, and loose the arrow at the tridenteer engaged with Uz at I believe normal range. Correct me if I’m wrong.

(meanwhile the DM will come down with a nasty flu of the kind that was described as feeling like the 'green death' when I was growing up ... meaning that it really WASN'T life-threateningly serious but it sure felt like it and you weren't sure at times that wouldn't be better because then at least you'd be deliriously half-conscious instead of acutely feeling every ache and chill and wrench of your stomach ... anywho, MEANWHILE ... )
... Saoirsirse's arrow lances out to land solidly in the wet green flesh of her target almost at the same moment the bulk of the bullywugs in the cove attack, as well as the giant frogs and bullywug archer in the clearing. None of these see any greater likelihood of success if they were to change tactics or targets, and so they continue to assail the party members they were attacking last round ... though in the case of some of those in the clearing, they might just be too stunned by the sudden reek. The only attacker that varies its pattern at all is the trident-wielding frogman now facing Uz, who suddenly whips its net at him in an underhanded throw it hopes will trip him into the jabbing tines of its triple spear.
===***=== (think I have this right, though I'm celebrating my flu recovery so the sobriety factor ain't what it might be LOL)
Cove bullywug leader vs. Artifex: either CHAAAAAAAAAARGE! or DDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! lol, depending on result of WIS save above; if the former.
Kukri (shortword) 21; damage if hits8 slashing
Bite 4; damage if hits 2 piercing
Cove tridenteer #1 vs. Uz (the fresh one who came to the rescue after Uz nearly finished tridenteer #2, whose quickness in attacking on initiative count 20 cost it dear ... )(with Disadvantage on the net cast due to the distraction of Saoirsirse's arrow hit ... I'd say the net throw is the part of its attack that requires the most concentration and aim)
Hooked net 16; damage if hits - none initially, but target is [Tooltip Not Found]; and if it attempts to escape it takes 1 (1d4 - 1) piercing damage as it does so. For every round it is restrained by the net and fails to escape, the target will also take an additional 1 (1d4 - 1) piercing damage from the hooks unless it remains comparatively immobile, taking no actions more strenuous than deep breathing or meditation.
Trident 12; damage if hits 6 piercing
Clearing bullywug archer vs. Gwrgi
Shortbow 25; damage if hits 7 piercing
clearing giant frog (x4)
vs. Zladark: continue dragging him towards Glaar-Chronk
vs. Tarton: bite attack 7; damage if hits 3 piercing
vs. Saoirsirse (the one that had committed to attacking Arti before her disappearance): bite attack 4; damage if hits 4 piercing
Charge vs. Gwrgi (the one which was undecided before): bite attack 23; damage if hits 5 piercing
(...and Artifex is up, followed by yon walkin' corpse ... )
"Va'ni Aniless!" Artifex curses in Elvish, as they once again find themselves gashed open. "That was my favorite kidney you just impaled!" They manage to grin though the pain. "But rest assured my friend, between the two of us, you shall hit the floor first." They pull a pitch black vial out of their supplies, waving it in the bullywug's face, before dropping it at their feet, the bottle shattering, sending the slippery substance everywhere. "Oops! Clumsy me!"
The Eladrin chortles as they dodge the clumsy bite and fall prey to their own spell, sprawling into the grease with their arms outstretched, like a child making a snow angel. Their blood mixes with the liquid as they flap their arms about, but they make what should be an unsettling image seem almost whimsical. "Want your mouth on me that badly eh? Very well, but I insist you join me down here. Don't worry." They wink at the increasingly frustrated bullywug. "I've got plenty of lube."

Casting Grease. DC 13 dex save for anyone within a ten ft square. of Artifex
hm... I don't really have a use for my BA. Is there a way I can use it to give the bullywug disadvantage on the save or something? Maybe Artifex's flapping around trips it up a bit or something. I really hope this works cause I'm like a sneeze away from death
(yeah, I'm definitely going to have Gwrgi give you some more attention on her action; and I'll check to see if she has any healing magic she can use as a reaction. Meanwhile, since I'm trying to nuance this to be a really challenging encounter but not a PC grinder I will let Artifexuse their Acrobatics score as a reaction to being hit to do one of two things. For a DC of 11 they can choose the safe but boring option and tumble away from the cove combat/back towards Gwrgi, landing in between her and their current position and imposing Disadvantage on attacks from any attackers until they choose to stop tumbling and take some other action; or they can barrel forward straight into their attacker's legs in an attempt to knock it away and hopefully onto its back. In that case the DC is its Armor Class of 16; if you fail you knock it off balance enough that it can't make an opportunity strike but essentially wind up prone at its feet (!); success will knock it back 5' plus 2' more for every pip you beat 16 by; and on a 19 or 20 it staggers back the full distance and then falls prone on its back.
Hmmm. I wonder which option our showy, cocky l'il eladrin would be more likely to pick LOL? Except being on the skin of death .... hmmm ,intersting dilemma. I wait with bated breath to see on which edge of Occam's razor Artifexwill choose to fall ,,,)

It is strange how quickly the mosses and vines of the swampy environment you find yourselves in have sprouted on and in the dead flesh of Glaar-Chronk's former follower; and unsettling how quickly the necromantic magic that raised it is beginning to cause that flesh to rot. But rather than falling away from the shambling swamp zombie's bones, it sags and oozes around them in sticky putrefied masses whose texture more and more resembles the thick mud which can be seen gurgling in wetter and more overgrown areas off the path. The sagging mouth opens wider in a horrible, gurgling moan of frustration even more nauseating than the noises it has been emitting so far. Drawing its flaccid upper limb back,
