Keygan replies to Alben "I made those locks myself about 10 years ago. They are some of my best work and should be very secure"

As he is talking he creates an illusion of a smooth-skinned, hairless humanoid with penetrating eyes holding a knife to a rat. The illusion lasts for only a couple of seconds before it disappears.

Black curtains partially obscure a window niche that faces the street. Ornate locks and complex locking mechanisms are neatly displayed in the niche. The room itself looks tidy, but lived in. Carpets cover the stone floor, and a broom leans against the railing of a wooden staircase leading up to a second floor balcony. Three wooden chests rest in the middle of the floor, their lids bound shut with sturdy iron padlocks. Small tables, shelves, and benches hold various knick-knacks, and a framed portrait of a silver-haired gnome hangs next to a tall wooden box at the base of the stairs. The wooden box contains an intricate array of ticking gears, counter-weights, and cylindrical chimes, surmounted by a circular face that bears the numerals 1 through 12 on its circumference.

If I don’t see anyone I will move back out to the main room and speak quietly.  “If there is someone here we can help you.  Just tell us where they are.”

"No there is no one here and I don't need ant help. I think you should leave now!!!" Keygan replays is a squeaky voice that is a little to load.

Alben turns to Shadow "well, I think we should be on our way" before leaving he makes a small illusion directed at Keygen spelling out "your familiar? If you have any info, send word to the church at st. Cuthbert, we will help."

Shadow puts an hand on Alben shoulder as he turns to go.  “Wait, I think someone is here let’s go to he back and check upstairs”. Shadow readies his weapons and head to he back room again, and then up the stairs

 As Shadow approaches the stairs a cloaked figure drops down from the balcony above. Acrobatics check 22 falling damage 3..

He lands perfectly in a position to attack Shadow from behind with his rapier Attack: 21 Damage: 7 + 5 sneak attack damage.

Dropping Shadow to unconsciousness in his surpise round he turns to Alben (if you followed Shadow into the room). Initiative 7

Both of you roll your death saving throws 3 rolls of 10 or above before you roll 3 below 10. I might have him take you both captive .
