That is a very good question! He would use Eyes of the Grave, but that won't pick up on undead that are behind total cover (lame). So for a skill check would that be insight? ...Medicine? Both are the same bonus so 20 but let me know if it should be something else.
Oh, that's 100% a people moan. Or at least, if it is an undead moan it's a very recent undead moan. It's difficult to tell, really, but you rolled real high so Mortimer is confident in this, at least:
1. It is not a sexy moan
2. It is not a sleepy just waking up with a hangover moan
3. It sure sounds like an "I have been injured and unconscious for a while and now I'm waking up and why does everything hurt" moan
Mortimer's getting pretty good at this whole alertness thing - not only does he hear some more assorted moans from whoever it is ahead, he is able to suss out that whoever is doing the moaning sounds muffled. Putting that together with some shifting sounds, Mortimer draws the conclusion that not only is someone injured, they're probably bound in some way as well.
He also smells, faintly, on the breeze that has sprung up from the south, corpse rot.
Talindra formulated a plan. It's probably not a good one but she's not known for especially good judgement so she's doing it anyway. She finds a particularly shady patch of jungle bordering the area and uses a minor illusion to make it extra shadowy as a cloud passes over the sun. She then goes there and low to the ground tries to see what's going on. If nothing is visible from where she is, she will stick her head out to take a peek and pull her head back out really quickly.
Talindra's plan works, shockingly enough. She sees Salida, bound to a tree, looking worse for the wear. She can't quite make out the severity of Salida's wounds, but there's definitely some kind of nasty gash above her eye, and one of her arms seems a little... loose and floppy.
At least whatever tied her up seems to have left her sleeping clothes alone, though they do appear to be rather dirty, like they'd been dragged through the mud. The eye that is not currently covered in blood focuses in Talindra's general direction for a moment, but it doesn't look like Salida sees anything out of the ordinary.
"She needs healing!" Mortimer exclaims as quietly as one can do while still being heard and conveying that it is an exclamation. He grabs onto the two nearest companions, "Come on, watch my back!" Let's say he gets a hold of Raff and Talindra as he pushes ahead.
Mortimer takes Salida's head in his hands, touching his forehead to hers and whispers, "Kelemvor, my lord, stay your hand for this one still serves your cause."
Salida hisses in pain at Mortimer's touch, but then the healing trickles in and she relaxes a little. She looks up as the other two enter the clearing and squints at Raff. She shakes her head a bit, and wiggles a little against the ropes still binding her to the tree. "I followed our stupid dinosaur and wasn't paying close enough attention to my surroundings. That'll teach me to leave my sword behind."
"... I don't think we brought that with us. Let's get you out of those ropes." Mortimer starts fussing with the knots on the ropes, eventually realizing that just cutting them would be faster so pulls out a small knife.
Salida thinks for a very long time before answering. It feels like two weeks. She peers up at the sun.
"Well, it was just before dawn when I went after the dinosaur, so... Probably a couple of hours, at most." She nods her thanks to Mortimer for cutting her bonds and (a little shakily) gets to her feet. "I don't think he was led away, so he's probably just foraging. I doubt he's gone that far."
"Humanoid, whatever it was." Salida supplies. "I didn't get a good look. Damn thing tackled me and knocked me out a little too quickly." She almost seems embarrassed.

"Person!" Mortimer hisses softly. "Almost certainly a person, and almost certainly hurt."
Since no one seems to care about this identification, Mortimer will spend a minute looking and listening for anything else that might be there.

Raff farts, but it's real quiet. Probably smells like corpse rot, though.

Talindra returns to the group and relays the information she discovered.
"She needs healing!" Mortimer exclaims as quietly as one can do while still being heard and conveying that it is an exclamation. He grabs onto the two nearest companions, "Come on, watch my back!" Let's say he gets a hold of Raff and Talindra as he pushes ahead.
Raff trundles off to help out Salida.
"What the hell happened to you?"
Mortimer takes Salida's head in his hands, touching his forehead to hers and whispers, "Kelemvor, my lord, stay your hand for this one still serves your cause."

((Apparently Kelemvor doesn't tihnk she has much to still do. Geeze I roll bad heals.))

Raff nods sagely at Salida's response. "So how long have you been trussed up here? We still have a chance of catching up to the dinosaur?"
Salida thinks for a very long time before answering. It feels like two weeks. She peers up at the sun.

"Mystery later, dinosaur now."
Raff tries to pick up Ambrosius' trail again.
