The archer demonstrates all of her excellent aim - as well as the power of her weapon - by sending the arrow driving deep into the leather armor of the man holding the rope.
The man's cry of pain and the expression on his face suddenly contorted with pain leave no doubt that the arrow managed to wound the flesh beneath the armour.
The boy, who was descending, looks around in amazement...
(OOC: Apparently, despite Tarysaa's not too high roll, you actually managed to fool and surprise the two guards - all the characters, in the order they prefer, can also post their attacks; in this first round the enemies are surprised and they don't act, so you can act in the order you want. Tyrgram takes advantage of this to keep himself last - in order to try to decide the fight with his sleep spell. When you post, in addition to rolls for attack, please, also roll for initiative - hopefully we won't need it, but if by chance at least one of the two guards is still able to act in round 2, from that round onwards we will obviously act in initiative order. If you, like me, put rolls in posts, remember not to edit posts with rolls! The system would recalculate the rolls and show the 'manipulated' warning. if you have to amend somethign in a post with rolls, amend in a new post without rolls).
Tarysaa hears the twang of the longbow string and goes into motion. Rolling upright she looks at the young man on the stone rubble and casts Ray-of-Frost .
(Combat Log: Ray of Frost = 10 oof... that was a baaaad roll, sorry folks)
Glancing up toward the hole, she readies another spell.
Tarysaa shoots a frigid beam of blue-white light at her 'savior' just as he changes position on the rope, swinging, to look around... the ray then passes close to him, but misses.
(OOC: How far down the rope is the boy? Ardana will grapple him if he's within reach)
He is at 10' height by now. By jumping and extending her arms I'm pretty sure Ardana can try the grapple (perhaps reaching to the ankle, perhaps even the waist).
If that's what you want to try, roll for Athletics to grapple the boy.
(Oh, and roll for initiative, just in case we go to round 2)

Bjorn, with a savage push with the combined power of both legs, repels Ardana back violently, preventing her from grabbing him. The paladin lands, trying to balance herself...
(OOC: Ardana, roll an Acrobatics check, DC 10: if you succeed, you land on your feet; if you fail, you lose your balance and fall to the ground - nothing terrible with that, you only will need to get back up at the start of your next turn, wasting half of your movement)
"Well shoot!" Daisy hisses, caught by surprise from Englehart's sudden attack. "I guess here we go then."The dwarf peaks around the corner and infuses a few stones in her hand with her magic. She steps into the tunnel and quickly sends one hurdling toward the man holding the rope, continuing behind the fighter.
Ok, round 2 you'll probably be one of the last to act - but for now feel free to go on and take your turn for round 1. In this turn the surprised baddies do not act, so you players can go in any order. If you already know what to do, go ahead and post your action.

(Attack: 14 to hit, 4 bludgeoning)
The stone thrown by Daisy flies towards the man, who, perhaps alarmed by the arrow that has just hit him, tries to dodge his head, but is too slow by a fraction of a second! The stone grazes his head, forcing him to curse: "Damned sons of old syphilitic goblins!"
Blood begins to flow into his eyes from the superficial injury to his forehead left by the impact.

Ilwythe grits his teeth, while the hair on the back of his neck stands on end partially, falling prey to a supernatural fury! In a few strides he comes within 20' of the top man, who is still holding the rope. Just as a trickle of blood annoys the Zhentarim into its eye, the barbarian hurls a handaxe with full force (OOC: You would have attacked at +4, +2 proficienyc bonus and +2 strength bonus - so hit AC 17 + 4 = 21).
The man doesn't even have time to open his eye again before the heavy blade thrust into his face. Losing a lake of blood, the man collapses without a cry, falls from the hole, his inert hands leave the rope ... making the boy who was holding it fall to the ground!
Bjorn lands with a loud thud and a grunt of pain right next to Ardana!
Bjorn is a bit bruised from the fall and, still on the ground, is struggling to realize everything that has happened: a moment before he was abseiling from a rope to 'help' a poor damsel in distress... and the moment later all hell broke loose around him.
Tyrgram smiles confidently as he invokes the power of his archfey patron to put the boy to sleep...

20' of climb I think Ilywythe you likely have to have some sort of check to get up there unless you're throwing axe.
(OOC: Yes, I think he is throwing one of his handaxes)
