The wall has probably been added at a later time (although it has been there for quite a while anyway - the signs of aging are similar to those of the other walls). It could have been created with magic, because it does not show many signs of workmanship and the pattern of the blocks is very regular, more regular than that which would result from the manual work of ordinary masons.
With his mighty shield "Barrel" clutched in his right hand, he wields the brilliant torch in his left; ready to unsheathe "Ale" at a moment's notice. Clas is at the rear, his back turned to the door. With a watchful gaze, he ensures no treacherous foe can take the party by surprise!

Never underestimate the power of a finely crafted barrel, my friend! It is both a vessel of strength and a symbol of resilience.
Tarysaa steps close to Daisy and whispers, "Daisy. Take a look at these walls. This is no ordinary stonemason's work. Magic? Could it be some ancient dwarven stonework?" She nods toward the wall. "I seem to recall some tavern tales in Triboar about old dwarven sites... ruins, burials, and a ton of ale fueled malarkey. Think there might be some nugget of truth about the dwarfs being active long ago?"
Ardana whispers "there won't be more than one or two in there. We do not need to use our spells yet. I think we can open the door and make them surrender. We should not break the door we might still have use for it."
Tarysaa will station herself in the upper left hand corner.. able to see and, if necessary, shoot to the south or east.
OK, having found a strategic position, with her bow at the ready and an arrow nocked, the elf wizard is ready to face the unknown beyond the second door...
“Daisy feels a tug at cloak. She glances back to find the halfling clutching the corner. "Do you normally hide behind ladies?" she asks, stifling a chuckle.
Blushing slightly and hoping to all the gods that Daisy possesses eyes unable to witness it in the gloom, Nim whispers:
”Ahem, only those that possess such matronly charmes that steel ones nerves.”
Who is standing behind Ardana when she opens the second door?
Nim backs Ardana as she opens the door, ready to provide backup and support being as stealthy as he can.
Stealth check 10.
Nim holds his lute close and readies his sleep spell. Well prepared to play his powerful lullaby to any Zhentarim that may spring out at the party from within.
Blushing slightly and hoping to all the gods that Daisy possesses eyes unable to witness it in the gloom, Nim whispers:
”Ahem, only those that possess such matronly charmes that steel ones nerves.”
The chuckle the dwarf was holding back erupts to the surface at the Nim's remark. "Hah! Well, aren't you sweet. You can whisper all the complements you'd like, but it'll get you no where."She holds up her hand revealing a simple iron band on the ring finger.

"Well, lets have a looksee."Daisy reaches out to run a hand over the stone. "We dwarves do know a thing or two about stonework. Hmm..."

Daisy checks the wall thoroughly but in the end she decides that, no it should be not of dwarven making. Very regular bricks pattern, but missing some tricks that would have made the wall stronger. It seem like a standard-quality wall... only built with incredibile, superhuman regularity (each brick has the exact size if the others, the placement of bricks follows a costant, immutabile pattern... It is definitely a peculiar wall, this west one).
The heroes position themselves to face the threats that await them in the new room, whereupon Ardana pulls the handle down and opens the door... revealing a room that remains mostly in dim light, for the only illumination comes from Clas' torch, who is set back (OOC: In the map, characters' positions are marked by the first two letters of their names, as you probably have already realized).
It is still possible to distinguish most of the details of the room. A massive fireplace occupies the northernmost three-quarters of the east wall, while an oven occupies the southernmost half of the west wall. In the center of the room is a large, sturdy table (10' x 5') with a few utensils on it: two kitchen knives, a skewer, a tinderbox.
The oven's mouth has been closed with a grate (that slides on improvised guides and can be lifted by hand - it was obviously added later, it wasn't originally part of the oven) and angry (and loud) barks and growls start to be heard from there!
There are no creatures in sight - although probably at least one creature (barking and growling) is locked inside the large oven!
Clas turns his head toward Ilwythe and says, "By the blazing forge, do you hear that ruckus? Reminds me of the time I tried to sneak into a Zhentarim dungeon, with a... oh, right we're still doing that! Clang, clang, CLANG! Hahaha!"

Nim makes use of his stature and passes beneath Ardana’s legs, tiptoeing towards the noisy oven keeping a sharp eye out for anything or anyone hidden or dangerous.
Perception check 13
Upon reaching the oven he peers carefully inside the grated door to determine what lies within.

Nim peers carefully inside the grated door to determine what lies within... and fierce fangs bite the grate, while the barks get even more furious! There's a wolf in the oven! An abused and malnourished wolf, judging by the thinness and various signs of beatings left on its body, but still clearly angry!
Despite its best efforts, the beast fails to force the grate, but takes at least great care in barking and growling, as if to explain in detail to the bard everything it will do to him, if only it can get out and set its fangs on him...
Ardana also enters the room and goes to look at the western door - is it latched or locked?
The western door doesn't differ much from the two doors already passed... It looks like a rather ordinary wooden door - but Ardana wouldn't know how to tell if it's locked or not... except by trying to lower the handle.

So, hoping to preserve the functionality of the door and to force the Zhentarim to surrender, Ardana lowers the handle and the door opens...
...revealing a short corridor (10') and another door!
Same tactic? You just walk up and Ardana opens?
