Nim stifles a scream (a manly one of course) by clasping his hand over his mouth as the wolf jerks out and scares the Eldritch gods out of him.
He slinks back to the doorway they entered to find Daisy and whispers to her…
“My fair Dwarven lady, I don’t suppose your enchanting matronly ways extend towards those of a more… animalistic disposition? I do believe we have a friend that is in need of your calming touch, perhaps it may bring us a much needed ally in these darkened halls.”
The west door opens smoothly... onto a short (10') hallway at the end of which awaits... yes, you guessed it! Another door! Apparently similar to the previous ones.

With his eyes fixed to the east and with a gleaming grin, Clas says, "I yearn for a barrel of ale! And why not? Doth not the Zhentarim adore such casks of cheer? Indeed, who amongst us can resist the allure of a barrel filled with nectarous delight? And food! A kitchen is bound to have both!"

Never underestimate the power of a finely crafted barrel, my friend! It is both a vessel of strength and a symbol of resilience.

Clas finds it hard to believe his eager eyes, when he has the opportunity to examine the kitchen better: no casks of cheer, no delight, no food... Could the tracherous Zhentarim have made these precious organoleptic treasures invisible with vile deceptions or dark enchantments? Anyway, the savage canine that barks all its beastly fury from inside the oven has clearly had very little occasion of gluttony, lately...

A horribly horrendous hideously heartbreaking thought that Clas dismisses from his musing mind and smiles.

Ardana takes this time to equip her shield. "Just in case there is somebody hiding behind one of these doors. Let's keep looking for that closet Bjorn told us about ". Once more have come into the kitchen Ardana opens the next door down the west hall.

(OOC: Waiting for all to declare their action then... or at least to know where everyone wishes to take position in the kitchen)
After speaking to Daisy, Nim positions himself once again at Ardana’s flank readying himself to cast sleep at anyone or anything that attempts to surprise his newfound friends.
Tarysaa takes one last look at the odd wall and moves into the 'kitchen' area.
Evaluating the close quarters and less than ideal shooting positions, she moves to stand on top of the fireplace mantle... getting an elevated angle on the room.

Ilwythe will call out “I’m not much for spotting and springing things, so I’ll stay near the back. Just be careful, Nim. I don’t want anyone to get hurt.

Well, well, well! Look at Clas, the vigilant adventurer! Clas expertly takes a step back, strategically positioning himself near the far west wall where Tarysaa once stood, much like a seasoned tactician surveying the battlefield. And with a spirited flair, he confides in his own thoughts, "Ah, it's as simple as day! When a challenge arises, meet it head-on with the starvation of a wolf-fiend. Never rush into a hasty door and think it's all sorted, for that might lead to unforeseen dilemmas lurking in the ovens. It's akin to handling a magnificent barrel. Should you find it empty, fear not, for you possess the wits to fill it to the brim! Why, look no further, when traps stare you right in the face, be ready to be seized!"
Ah, yes, dear Clas, the master of insight and wit, with his barrels full of musings. Hahahahahaha!

"This is strange. This wall," Daisy replies to Tarysaa. "It's not like the others in this place. No dwarf made it. It lacks our traditional building techniques. I don't think that wall was built by any civilizaed race. It's too... perfect. Every stone cut just the same, and stacked so neat. Strange. Not sure what to make of it." The dwarf then follows Nim into the kitchen.

"Yeah, I have a way with with the animals." The druid pulls one of her ratio bundles from her bag. "Easy there, boy," she coaxes, breaking off a piece of of some dried meat. "Can you quiet down. Maybe we can see about getting you out of here."
"Clas, quit flapping your trap and help me out here. Can you open the oven up and I'll take to the hole?"
(Animal Handling: 21. Once getting it calm shed like to lead it to the hole around the corner... if possible.)
Clas, the dependable companion, receives the call for aid. With swift action, he opens the path to freedom, but wisely ponders the potential consequences of setting the creature loose upon the unprepared populace.
Game Log STR SAVE 16, not sure what to roll there? STR CHECK 17 rolled both??
Tarysaa hears this exchange and starts to open her mouth with a warning.. and then clamps her jaw shut. 'Daisy is a big girl, she has to know what she's doing...' Shivers and eyes all the doorways.
At the same time Ardana prepares to face yet again 'the unknown behind a door', with Nim at her side and Tarysaa vainly searches for a good position to put her bow to good use - finally settles for the southeast corner... Daisy tries to appease the wolf, with the help of Clas.
The beast initially welcomes the dwarf no better than she had previously done with the halfling... but it seems to stop barking for a while, as if surprised, when the druid offers it some food and speaks to it in a calm tone. Under the apparently not entirely convinced gaze of Clas and Tarysaa, Daisy has the wolf released (OOC: No need for a strength check, the grate is easy to lift from outside the oven)... who, while continuing to look around with suspicion, is mainly concerned with feeding itself. It does not attack anyone - in spite of how much it seemed determined to do so a few moments before.
Daisy gives the animal time to get used to the new situation, she moves naturally, she always speaks to it in a calm tone ... in the end, she too manages to get in touch with the wolf, slowly stroking its fur to reassure it. The wolf still has a feral light in its eyes, but it begins to stay close to Daisy and follow her (even if it still looks at everyone else with suspicion).
So what to do now? Trying to walk the wolf outdoors? Keep it with you while Ardana opens the door? Or...?
Like a majestic barrel brimming with sustenance, Daisy poured forth her kindness and soothing words, easing the wolf's woes with a gentle touch and a spirit as warm as the hearth's fire. And food! Hahahaha! Clas exclaims and gives Daisy a thumb's up, mostly, as his hand is gripped around a torch.

Ardana is startled and pleased by Daisy's handling of the wolf, looks around and sees everyone ready, and opens the door.
(Daisy will try to lead the wolf to corridor with the hole. Leave some food there so maybe it will stay for awhile... Another animal handling check?)
"Just wait a few," Daisy says to Ardana.
