Grymar - Jahia turns to you and says, "We have to get the non-combatants away from here, and I don't think Eddar is up to the task of driving the beast away..." She stands and grips the hilt of her longsword in its sheath, "But I am. If my hunch about the beast is true, it will try and stop us if we try to leave. I'm going to follow the same route that the evacuees took and when the beast shows itself, I'm going to ask it very nicely," She pats the hilt of her longsword, "To go away." Jahia nods to Pello then turns and heads for the door of the inn.
“Aye. I’m comin’ with ye. Me and me little buzzy frienz.” He looks down at his pocket, “Iddnt that right? Buzzzz. Yep. Hah!” He walks with his stick for balance, ready to assist Jahia and pull out his longbow if needed to put feathered arrows with hard tips into the dire wolves if they are spotted. “Got yure back, Missy!” He has a spring in his step with the excitement.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Zubien - After about an hour of work, you and Jahner have produced a large quantity of greensleep powder. "This would put the whole of Frickley to sleep for a week. Many thanks for the help." Jahner yawns again and says, "I'm going to put this away and get try to get some rest. Big day tomorrow and all that." He sees you out and closes the door behind you. You depart his shop just in time to see Jahia and the rest of your companions heading down the road toward the edge of town.
All - Jahia passes the group of evacuees on her way out of town, her posture confident and movements purposeful. She nods to the evacuees as she passes but maintains her steady pace past the gate and into the dark beyond. The dirt path wends away from Frickley into a farm on the outskirts of town. The rain clouds have broken up and the moon is out now, offering bits of dim light as it slips in and out of the clouds. You see off in the distance to your left, the silhouette of a windmill, standing in what can only be Windmill Field. Continuing down the path heading northward you come upon a ruined farmstead. The broken timbers of a collapsed farmhouse lie in a jumble to the right of your path. Jahia draws her longsword and slows her pace, "We're getting close to where Eddar saw the beast, eyes open, heads on a swivel." Past the farmhouse the path meets a crossroad, and beyond that you see overgrown fields standing neglected in the moonlight. Jahia walks slowly up to an old well that sits at the crux of the crossroads, longsword in hand, head ever turning this way and that. As she passes the well, a deep rumbling growl suddenly breaks the silence. You see a massive shape moving toward you with two large eyes that reflect the moonlight. The dire wolf steps forward, glowing eyes full of anger above a snarling mouth full of large sharp teeth. Jahia stands with longsword held in front of her in both hands, knees slightly bent, ready to react. "Go away." The dire wolf growls and snaps its jaws ferociously in response. "Please." Jahia says with no hint of politeness in her voice. The wolf lowers itself and leaps forward with a snarl, snapping its jaws again. Jahia chuckles and says, "I was hoping you'd say that. Come and get it then you mangy mutt!" Both Jahia and the dire wolf charge toward one another, shouting and snarling as they go!
Grymar moves forward toward the beast, using his longbow. He nocks an arrow and let’s loose at the wolf, but just as he’s about to let fly, a bee crawls up his sleeve and perches on his finger, buzzing and looking at what is going on. This alters Grymar’s aim and his arrow flies high, wide of the target. Disgusted, he drops the bow on the ground and moves forward 25 feet, seeking to join Jahia.
Long bow : 4 to hit (Nat 1), for 9 points of damage.
Zubien - Your arrow pierces the Dire Wolf's shoulder near its neck, drawing a pained yelp and catching it off-guard.
I noticed that you made your attack with Advantage, were you using your Inspiration on that attack, using an ability or feature that grants Advantage, or was that a mistake? The attack still hits even without the Advantage, but I believe the first roll was an 18, which wouldn't have been a critical hit.
Lehmani - The large beast slips around the Sacred Flame on its way toward Jahia.
Grymar - The bothersome bee actually manages to draw your attention toward another large dark shape moving quickly down the path to your left. You see another Dire Wolf loping out of the darkness to join the fray!
Another Dire Wolf has entered the combat!

Dire Wolf A will close the gap between it and Jahia and snap at her with its jaws. It manages to grab hold of her arm, shaking its head violently and trying to pull her to the ground, but she wrenches it away with a shout! Jahia takes 6 points of damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drawing another arrow, Zubien aims at the second wolf and fires (attack:Attack: 22 Damage: 10) [Yes, I was moving too fast on the keys and made a mistake the first time]
Lore - The fire bolt lights up the night as it streaks across the farm. It hits the dire wolf with a WHUMP and the flames wash over it, causing it to yowl in pain.
Jahia slashes at the dire wolf in front of her but it ducks under the first swing. She catches it with the backswing, slicing a red gash across its face.
Zubien - You arrow flies true, striking the second dire wolf. It stumbles a bit as it approaches but quickly recovers.
Lehmani - The javelin jams into the dire wolf's flank and you can see that it is badly hurt at this point.
Noticing one of its prey has become separated from the rest, Dire Wolf B lopes over to Zubien and begins snapping at him wildly, but he manages to dodge the attack!
Grymar moves to the right of Jahia, just 5 feet ahead and standing right beside her. He holds up his wooden staff and shouts “Kombucha!” and swings his magically imbued staff into the dire wolf, trying to hit it on the noggin.
Movement : 5 feet forward toward the wolf, right beside Jahia
Action : Shillelagh swing at the wolf : 23 to hit, for 4 points of magical bludgeoning damage. Additionally, he marks the dire wolf as a favored foe, doing an additional 4 points of damage to it.

Twombley - Your staff hits the dire wolf solidly in the noggin, dealing enough damage to fell the beast. Would you like to describe what that looks like?
Grymar swings his stick in an overhead downward motion that happens to connect squarely with the skull of the wolf, and the magical power of the attack caves the creatures head in. Grymar follows through and the.n juts his jaw out, grinning at the beast, and giving it some lip as it goes down. “Howya like that one, sonny! Yeas you’re right, you just stay down ya mangy mutt!
