As Goraseth is knocking on townsmaster's hall doors, young boy passing by shouts to four of you: "Hey, newcomers. I guess it is your first time here if you are knocking on those doors. Hehe. / he laughs lightly/ If you are looking for our townmaster, you won't find him here. Ever since Dragon sightings, he rarely leaves his home. Everyone says he is afraid hehe. If i were you i would try at his house /and he points his finger at eastern direction/ It is the second next on the left side of the road. Be wary not to scare our townmaster too much mister Dragonman. I heard some folk claim to have seen a dragon flying through the high clouds. They say it is veeery big and has gleaming white scales, similiar to yours !"
"Salutations, young man. Name is Goraseth. And thank you for the information". He turns to his new group of friend. His large smile suddenly disappears, leaving place to a very serious face. "I don't think it is a silver dragon, they are rarely flying in the open. I would think more like a White dragon then. They are great predators, we need to be carful.". He points then towards the the Inn that could be seen not too far from where they stand "Should we book our room then, if the mayor is too afraid to leave his premises ?"
"I'll stay at some place cheap or outside. Don't want to get distracted by luxury. A solid meal, I'll take gladly but a bed or even my own room, not so much." Tryn explains. "50 gold pieces for warning a few dwarves sounds like a good deal, or just 25 for warning someone supposedly closer. I think both of those jobs could get us some gold for settling in and helping a few locals is always a good way to make friends in a place where you want to stay for business. What do you think if, after you quickly reserve your rooms, we head to the midwife and see if we can convince her to return to the village for the time being. If that proves too difficult we could continue southwest from there and go to the dwarves, I'm sure they will appreciate the warning."
After giving their Wizard a friendly nod, Elrora turns and listens thoughtfully to the mirthful words of the young boy. She can’t help but feel the spark of excitement lighting within her at the description of the huge white dragon lurking within the clouds. That sense of danger, the anticipation of looking Death in the eyes somewhere on the horizon — it leaves the Elven woman burning with determination. These were the adventures she sought, the chance to rescue the people that she’d never experience within the walls of her castle.
”Are you sure?” she asks of Tryncaryn, tilting her head curiously at the Halfling. If he so wished, the princess was sure she could pay for a room at the inn for him as well — but perhaps it was pride that kept the Monk from accepting a stay beneath a fine roof. Either way, Elrora brushes it off for the moment and nods at his suggestions. “Yes, I’d love to begin taking on the jobs and seeing what we can do to help.” Even if that eventually involves encountering a dragon, she thinks.
"Very well, let's go. Let us get you settle in at the inn and then we procure a map and pay that midwife a friendly visit and let her know about the presence of a dragon. Hopefully that will do the trick but I have a bad feeling about this." Tryn continues to mutter, "Not to mention that it is a bad sign that the townmaster locks himself up."
Tryn points to the other side of the street, “there’s the lion shield coaster’s. Let’s have a look if they have a map or know where we can find one. These job announcements are terribly imprecise.” Tryn crosses the road and asks the first person he can find, “Do you have any maps here from the region? We’d been wanting to visit the midwife but only have vague directions. Can you help?”
As Tryncaryn enters Lionshield Coster, he faces a woman who introduces herself as Linene Graywind, master of Phandalins Lionshield Coster. Linene answers Tryns question:
"We supply locals and adventurers with arms mister. I am sure you can purchase a map with some known locations at Miner's Exchange, but most of locals know where the midwife lives and i can give you directions, and if you have some parchment i might scribble you some makeshift map, it won't be as good as those they have at miner's exchange but if it is about umbrage hill, you won't get lost since it is close by."
when asked about her wares, Linene presents armor and weapons.

“Nice pieces of armor you have there! Truly fine craftsmanship that you have on offer. I wouldn’t know how to crawl into any of them but they look like if they are made of pure silver!”Tryn praises the display of wares in an effort to curry a favor, for which he doesn’t keep the lady much waiting. “If you could draw a map or simply give instructions, that would be greatly appreciated. The day is quite advanced and we would rather go quickly to the midwife instead of searching for something that isn’t truly needed. Perhaps tomorrow we can get us one of these shiny weapons for our newly earned coins.”
Goraseth looks at the armors with envy: «These are good craft. I could use a better armor but I don’t think I have the gold for now. Tryn, I leave you to it here. I’ll run quickly to the miner exchange and get a map of the region. Let’s meet in 15 min at the Inn.»
Goraseth bows « master Linene, if you’ll excuse me. We will meet again I think. »
“Alrighty, Seth. I’ll be there.” Tryn takes his leave from the smith with an apologetic smile for not bringing in business today. “Thank you for your kind assistance.”
With that settled, Tryn and who cares to join him returns the road they came from looking for the local inn and enter.
as you are leaving premises of Lionshields Coster Linene calls to you:
"Hey, You seem like capable people, if you are in need of gold and as i hear looking for work, you might be interested in some tale i heard not long ago from some of the locals that says that as the Triboar Trail runs east, it passes through the ruins of Conyberry, a town sacked by barbarians years ago. There’s a ruined temple south of Conyberry where it’s said the locals hid their gold. I don't know how much of it is true, but it is worth a try i guess, if you need money and are capable. My doors stays open, so come back for upgrades when you are heavier on coins."
As Goraseth enters Phandalin Miner's Exchange, he is greeted by Halia Thornton. She sells maps with known locations marked on it for4 sp. /if you decide to purchase i will mark those locations (and every new one you discover) on your map in campaign menu/
After that both of you (or four) enters the local inn called the Stonehill inn. As you enter you are welcomed aloud from the other side of the room from behind the counter by hearty looking and loud speaking man.

Tryn listened up when the coster called after them, “Well thank you! We might check it out. Conyberry, Triboar Trail eastwards. Got you!”
Upon entering the tavern, Tryn walks over to the owner, “Thank you, let’s start with some ale for me and my friends and then we see where that will lead us.” While waiting for the innkeeper to fill the cups, he says, “We can’t stay too long now, because we still wanted to go visiting the town’s midwife. Have you ever met her? I wonder how she is, she must be really nice, caring for new mothers and their babies. Are there a lot of new babes in this town, born or expected? I mean you know if she is busy these days?”
At the miner exchange, Goraseth buys the map without bartering (4sp removed) and looks around, trying to get a feeling of this place. « Me and my colleagues are new into town and good mercenaries. If you happen to have any jobs doing, we are worth your coins. »
He packs up the map in his bag and adds « we are also looking into this dragon problem. Any advices on it or hints on where it roams ? »
"Well as far as i am concerned there are some in town, not sure why that would concern you stranger." /he becomes a little wary and distanced upon disscussing other people private matters, but quickly leaving topic behind his usual smile comes back/ "As to miss Adabra - the midwife in question: Yes I met he, she is an acolyte of Chauntea, is not only good with babies but also herbs and remedies and is a blessing to every ill folk around here. She visits as often as it is needed but prefers to live separately. Maybe that is an acolyte thing? i don't know. Her place is not far south from here, easy to find, she occupies old windmill."
"You see yourself as a dragon slayer young man he? Well i would like to see that as that one brought some trouble to our lands. Tell you what, I think that this coward the townsmaster has a good idea about caring for people and hanging those jobs that will help save as many as possible. But the very next thing to do in my opinion is your idea of killing the dragon. But unless you have mighty magic on your side it might be hard. If you are capable mercenaries i might have something better for you than a job - an opportunity. Hear me out: West of Phandalin, on the coast, is an old stone lighthouse. Ships are drawn to this gleaming tower like moths to a flame, and are doomed to crash upon its rocks. Their wrecks must be filled with treasure, and you might find something that could potentially be an aid in yours endeavors with dragon."

Tryn assumes a friendly smile,“Apologies, I don’t mean to intrude in private lives. I simply ask because the townmaster finds it prudent to return her to the village in view of the roaming dragon. I wondered if I can convince her to stay in town for some time because there are young mothers and babies that need her care here. She seems a likable person and I would hate to see her harmed by the dragon, or the mothers and children without her support if the short distance between them becomes unsafe for travel. I think, I will go quickly to bring the townmaster’s warning her way.”
Goraseth laughs “Maybe not a Dragon Slayer...yet..., but I have killed many beasts. I remember the fight against that owlbear, that was glorious ! I’d love to add a white dragon to my trophies.”. Goraseth omits the fact that the owlbear was already quite hurt when he was fighting it, still thinking it was a great prowess. “Anyway, thanks you for the map and the tip about this lighthouse. Any reasons you want us to check on it ? Are you looking for something in particular ? Or just to help us in getting ready to fight this dragon?”
Elrora stands beside Tryncaryn while he speaks to the innkeeper, giving the hearty man a gentle smile and a curtsy upon their approach. "Thank you for your advice, Mister Stonehill," the Elven woman chimes in, noting the local midwife's location in her mind. Hopefully, she thinks, their group of new companions will be able to return the acolyte safely back to Phandalin without incident. Or, rather — without a large, dragon-shaped incident. They aren't ready to encounter a huge and ancient beast like the white dragon just yet, but Elrora is certain they could handle smaller dangers in the meantime. Her blade hand nearly trembles with the anticipation of it.
"We'd also like to reserve two rooms for stay, if that's alright," the Elven woman adds, glancing at Tryncaryn beside her surreptitiously. Perhaps the Monk would change his mind and be willing to stay with her or Goraseth, rather than sleeping out on his own. She couldn't help but worry for the Halfling, by himself in a bustling town like this one — especially one with dragon sightings — when he could be staying with them.

That is my way of thinking to explain all those new troubles with monsters sightings and attacks. The Dragon simply breached the balance in those lands. But that is just the start. Dragons are greedy creatures and at some point he will attack phandalin and devour us all. So simply to maintain my bussines here, and to let it develop as i believe whole Phandalin can as it is very promising place, We need the Dragon gone." That being said if you find something of value that is not use to you, i might take interest in it."
