(OOC: Rammond threw a hammer after Walt established advantage on the next attack, but since we established Rammand was unconsions, and Salamir was holding his aim, it looks like the shorter Goldenguard was the next to attack for the advantage)
"We know you were keeping the darkbeasts as "pets". So did the banshee summon them, or did your pets slip their leashes?", Persephone says loud enough for all to hear.
Walt is unable to move closer to the banshee, his legs frozen with fear. He would grumble a little under his breath before taking a deep breath and blessing his companions. As he utters his words, small rays of sunshine seem to erupt from his holy symbol hanging from his neck and bathe Persephone, Constance, and Salamir in holy light.
Constance curses beneath her breath as the Heralds bind the banshee. With a staggered step back within the blanket of Twilight, knees threatening to collapse beneath her as the shadowbeasts appear, the wizard's hand twitches for her field notes, but her eyes flick back to the apparition. Did she summon them? Fingers pressing to her aching temple, still disoriented from the wail, she tries to make sense of what could be happening.
((A few questions: -Did Constance see the banshee make any motion to summon the shadowbeasts and do they seem focused on anyone in particular? -With an Arcana or INT check would she also be able to deduce whether or not the stones of the temple have created a magic circle of sorts and opening the door would break it, or is that cray-cray? She saw earlier that the temple was heavily warded when she used Detect Magic, is there any reason those wards might have failed?
If I could, I'd love for her to use this turn (Round 1) to try and use her brain powers to try and figure out more about the situation. She's going to remain unhostile towards both the banshee and shadowbeasts for now on the off-chance they won't attack her (a long shot, but also just wanted to get a post in ASAP too lol!).))
Persephone is holding her hands to the sides, trying to keep track of all the enemies. Banshee, darkbeasts and dirty paladins. (not that it actually has an advantage, but it helps her concentrate)
"Walt, I've got a Healing Word, if anyone needs it. But that's the only ranged spell that would do anything useful, since SOMEBODY decided to persecute us all day instead of allowing us to regain spells to deal with a situation like this."
Seph pulls a vial of holy water from her inventory and holds her action to respond as needed.
"That scream took a lot out of me Persephone... I have quite a few reserves of the dawn father's power remaining but... I'm afraid healing word isn't one of them. I have to touch anyone I plan to heal" He would reply as he feels the fear leave his body... as though Palor heard him and granted him the ability to move freely so that he could help his friends.
Salamir curses as he spots the three shadow beasts just before he feels a warmth spread through his body as he is engulfed in light, somehow making him feel more confident.
He shifts around slightly and presses against the column to keep the ghost, which is now seemingly tethered in place, and the shadow beasts in view whilst hopefully being out of sight of them.
"I think we are all a bit beaten up", he says quietly so only his companions hear as Persephone and Walt mention healing. "Look to yourselves and Constance first though, I will cover Rammand".
With the ghost unable to move, he watches the shadow beasts, training his hand crossbow on the two by the door.
"What's the play Constance?", he adds, also quietly so as not to give himself away.

Salamir waits for the shadow beasts to close right in on Viga and Walt so that they are close enough for him to take full advantage of his hand crossbow, and then pulls the trigger on the closest.
Reaction: Attack shadow beast with Hand Crossbow (with Bless): 14+5+4=23, Damage: 5+3=8 [piercing], Sneak Attack (as within 5 feet of another enemy): 5+1=6 [piercing]. Total Damage: 14 [piercing]
Constance sways on her feet as chaos erupts around them. To Salamir she whispers back, hand shaking at her temple, "I... don't know." She watches Reeves retreat with the pontifex then narrows her eyes at the shadow beasts as they behave like strange facsimiles of hyenas. They can attack during the day? Previously, they only attacked at night... then what's changed? Unless we were incorrect in assuming they could only act under cover of darkness?
"Constance!" Alphinius snaps in a ruffle of pages. "You are severely injured, get to cover this instance!"
Mind still struggling to keep up while also whirring through thoughts at a mile a minute, she looks again at the bound necromancer then at the stones then at the door, thinking of the acrid wards outside the temple. Perhaps one had been extinguished. Would it be enough to let the daylight in? Or was her theory incorrect and they have no vulnerability to it?
"I'm going to test a hypothesis," she informs the others as she turns sharply on her heel. She dashes towards the doors of the temple, fumbling a few steps before finding her footing, and collides with the heavy wood as she pushes them open.
((Round 2 Was waiting for some IC and OOC questions to be resolved regarding her last turn before posting this one, but I'll go ahead! Sorry for the wait and sorry, gang, if this is the totally wrong thing for her to do and she's wasted a chance to attack instead! Action: Dash (30ft), if needed. Movement: Full movement toward the entrance (30ft) Free Object Interaction: Opens the doors to the temple))

Walt quickly raises his shield to deflect the shadow beasts bite. The bright light from the lantern on his belt casts a huge shadow of the creature on the walls behind it. With surprising quickness, The weathered cleric swings hard with his war hammer towards the face of the shadowy beast.
