Ixsas continues waiting for Krackle to report back. He's either at the top of the hill or down by the moss-covered helm, depending on the distances involved. He keeps his eyes and ears open. Perception26
(OOC: as far as I can tell, Ixsas cannot see Krackle or the stone giant from his position, and even if he has line-of-site back to the caravan, he would not noticed the robed figures leaving the caravan because he's looking northeast toward where Krackle went.)
Zeds makes to discreetly follow the man robed in white but sees Ironthar confront him so he focuses instead on the red robed figure and spies on him from a concealed distance...
Ironthar find that a tinge of frost on his hands as he grabs the being in white and from the steadfastness of the being in white Ironthar also knows he is a being of considerable strength.
It looks to the man in read for directions.
The man in red robes has a look of simmering anger "Unhand them this instance. They follow my command. If you have an issue bring it to me"
Since you are faced to face you can see under the hood.
“I will not release my grasp until you order him to stand down and follow my lead. We go northwest!” Ironthar shouts at the red robed man, hand still gripping the freezing skin of the white robed man.
Krackle's eyes go wide as he sees a giant for the first time. without saying a word, the kobold clutches the backpack strapped across his chest and quietly makes his way back towards the caravan. When he makes his way back towards Ixsas, he whisper shouts. "Hey! There... there is a giant over there!" He says pointing a clawed finger over towards the direction of the giant. "it looks hurt. I don't know if it is bad or not... but it looks like it was recently in a fight." Krackle adds with look of concern.
Ixsas's eyes open wide, and the green irises seem to glow. He looks ahead as though his sight could pierce the forest ahead, and he intones, "Expect to be tested and rise to the challenge no matter what difficulty and pain it brings."
Turning to Krackle, Ixsas asks, "Do you think that you could talk to it and find out? If it is evil, it deserves Justice -- the firm hand! We should put the giant to the fire while it's injured. If it is not evil, then I could try to heal it. A giant would make a powerful ally." He imagines converting a whole clan of giants: that would significantly improve his standing in the church of Kossuth.
If Krackle returns to the giant, Ixsas will accompany him. If Krackle wants to return to the caravan first to report what he found, Ixsas will follow him back there first, but he argues that some of them should return to deal with the giant one way or the other.
"I... am not sure how to speak giant but I can try..." Krackle says with a look of concern before turning around to make hisnway back towards the giant.
once he makes his way back towards the giant, the kobold takes his tail and holds it tightly in hisnhands, stepping forward slowly. "He...hee...hello Mr giant. My name is krackle. Do you need help?" The kobold asks while trying to make himself look as harmless as possible.
"I... am not sure how to speak giant but I can try..." Krackle says with a look of concern before turning around to make hisnway back towards the giant.
Ixsas nods and says, "You're a brave little fellow! Kossuth's Fire must burn bright within you!" He follows along just 5 - 10' behind Krackle as the kobold leads the way back to the giant.
As they approach the giant, Ixsas looks around to see whether there are any giants or other creatures nearby. Perception10
Once Ixsas sees the giant, is it clear that the giant is the source of the huge footprint that they originally saw on the road? For example, is the giant barefoot or wearing shoes? Are his feet about the right size? Do the tracks that they were following lead to the giant and end here or continue on? (Investigation13, if it's not obvious)

Ixsas stops about 5' behind Krackle and lets the kobold step forward. As Krackle starts speaking, Ixsas quietly casts thaumaturgy (amplify his voice for the next 1 minute). He wants to be able to speak with authority to the giant, and he also wants to be able to shout loudly enough for the others back on the road to hear him if he and Krackle get into trouble!
If the giant looks at them or responds in any way, Ixsas holds both arms out to his sides. He still holds his shield, but he wants the giant to see that his other hand is empty. As long as the giant doesn't seem ready to attack, Ixsas bows slightly.
The towering giant moves its mighty frame around towards Krackle causing the ground to shake. It speaks in giant but stops mid-sentence and shifts into common. The giant speaks in a deep weary voice "Oh little lizard, have you come to send me to the Annam the All-Father. I suppose I don't mind the company." He lifts his hand causing another gush of sand to pour out of his wound. He quickly clamps his hand back on the wound. "Yes, I can use some help though I am not sure you can help one as large as I"
The man in red robes respond to Ironthar and says "I will head northwest. I have seen 2 go scout is there a problem with a 3rd leaving the caravan to scout out the situation?" He then puts a hand on his companion as if to hold them back.
The being in white places their hands on Ironthar's grip causing the cold sensation to deepen. Ironthar hands begin feeling number.

Ixsas stows his shield and moves forward quickly, saying, "If Kossuth wills it, you will not die today!" He moves as close as he can to the giant's wound and puts both hands on the creature. He warns the giant, "This will hurt: the Sacred Flame of Kossuth burns as it heals." Then he prays for the healing Light to enter this wound and heal the giant. (Cast cure wounds, healing 10) A glowing light, flickering red and yellow seems to flow from Ixsas. It runs along the giant's skin like a spreading wildfire until it reaches the wound. Then the light seems to disappear into the wound and, with a sizzling sound, the wound seems to close over as though it has been cauterized.
Seeing the white robed figure lay hands upon Ironthar Zeds strikes out from where he was spying upon them, looking to put the figure down before they can much harm Ironthar. Rushing in from where he had been trying to remain unseen, Zeds attacks out with his longswords. (Initiative 16)
Those scouts are gone with my order and really three is too big a number for scout. So you hold your men as I told you so.
Ironthar then felt the unnatural cold seeping to his arms. He at first doubt that the man would be anything but this confirms that this was something supernatural.
“What monstrosity is he?“ He said to the red robed man.
“I ain’t gonna let go of this hand regardless how cold it is. You are not going without my say so.” And then a blade pierces through the white robed man’s torso.

Opal like sand
The man in red robes points towards the northeast and the being in white rags leaves the caravan as well but taking a more indirect path than Krackle.
Ironthar who was in charge of watching the two robed figures grabs the man in white robe. Stopping him on his track.
“Where do you think you’re going?! I said we go northwest to avoid the giants.” He said as he holds the man in white robe in a tight grip.

With Ixsas standing near the helm they are able to pick up the faint sound of labored breathing in the direction of the footprint.

Ixsas stays near the helm, still listening.
((OOC: I'd like to give @Wreckzors a chance to have Krackle respond to the discovery of the stone giant before Ixsas does anything else.))

The footprints belong to the giant as it is bare feet. The only clothing it has is a loincloth and the plant life that covers his body.
