Krackle stands nearby, watching the attempt to heal the giant. The kobold keeps his wrapped around the egg strapped to his chest within the backpack as he prepares to run if things go badly.
The elderly giant braces himself a bit as the healing burns through the wound. "I don't know if I should thank you or stomp on you. That did hurt. I am Borowl Now beware the undead stalk these lands and some have been restless of late. 2 attacked me without warning. Usually, my might is able to ward of such threats, but they were especially tenacious. I believe they were drakes of some kind"

The blade strikes the man in white, but he does not flinch. Blood does not flow, and the blade does not bite as deep as you expected. He once more looks to the man in red as if asking for permission. The man in red looks taken aback. "I thought we can handle this peacefully like civilized people. What is the point of learning to speak if you do not use it!" He then looks to the man in white "Vesax stand down and do not retaliate even though I know you can kill them. This is not the time!" His voice rings with clarity and power and slowly the man in white let go of Ironthar and shoves him to make him let him go.

Ixsas seems gratified even if the giant sounds somewhat threatening. He touches the holy symbol of the flame of Kossuth hanging from his necklace, and he says, "Thank the Light! Through Kossuth's purifying Flame, you are healed!"
Ixsas climbs back down toward Krackle and away from the giant. Reminded of common courtesies by the giant's words, Ixsas says, "May the Light shine on you Borowl! My name is Ixsas. We were traveling north on the road, but the Light showed us your path and brought us here to help you!"
Hearing of the undead, Ixsas looks to Krackle to see whether the presence of undead drakes in these lands is surprising to the kobold.
"Thank you for not stomping us." The kobold says with a sigh of relief. "We had heard that there were undead around that were drawn to fires when our caravan entered the area... but as far as we know we have not encountered any. We did have some spider thing crawl into someones throat over night and another person fell asleep and has not been able to wake up... so I am pretty sure SOMETHING is trying to hurt us." Krackle continues, still trying his best to be respectful and not present himself as a threat.
"We have been trying to find a dragon cult... they are trying to stop a blue dragon and its cultists before they destroy the world. maybe the drakes belong to them? Do you know where the drakes came from or where they were headed when you fought them?"
Borowl nods "I saw them slink back towards a caravan I saw on the horizon they too head north. If you are trying to catch up with them, I am sure you can as draft horses and oxen often need to be fed and time to recuperate. I must warn you to tread carefully."
Th strange figures in robes both seem wary at the caravan but give in and follow the caravan towards the Northwest.

Ixsas says to Krackle, "I examined that man, and I have faith that Kossuth's Purifying Flame will be able to burn away his ailment. When we get back to our caravan, I will offer to try. Perhaps the man saw something before he fell into his current condition?"

((OOC: Ixsas has only been with the caravan since this morning, so this may be the first he has heard of the dragon cult.))
Borowl nods "I saw them slink back towards a caravan I saw on the horizon they too head north. If you are trying to catch up with them, I am sure you can as draft horses and oxen often need to be fed and time to recuperate. I must warn you to tread carefully."
Ixsas exclaims, "A dragon cult? Destroying the world?! But -- this may be the reason I was called to the North!" He intones in a more calm and reverent voice, "The Light of Kossuth will reveal the path for the faithful!"
Ixsas is curious about the giant's warning to tread carefully. He asks, "What do you mean? Just that the drakes are dangerous, as you wound shows us? Or do you mean to warn us of other dangers on the road north of here?"
Ixsas also seeks to clarify the details of the giant's encounter with the drakes: "Borowl, you said that you were attacked by two drakes, both undead, but did you see any more of them? Or other undead? And if a foul necromancer raised these things in undeath, their master may have been nearby, commanding the drakes. Did you see any people near the drakes? Humans perhaps? Possibly dressed in robes or..." Here, Ixsas looks to Krackle, "What did the dragon cultists that you saw look like? Do they have a distinctive uniform or banner?"
Ixsas cannot think of anything else to ask. Once they get Borowl's answers, he feels that they should return to the caravan. As they walk back, he tells Krackle, "In death, we return to the Eternal Flame, and 'the body shall be burned until only ash and bone remain, lest the flesh become unclean!' Necromancers defy Kossuth's Will by raising a corpse as their cold puppet. I would destroy these things, in Kossuth's name, for no other reason than to return their bodies to Kossuth in fire. But if they are pursuing this other caravan, we must catch up to them and warn them! Or at least catch up to the undead and destroy the drakes before they can do more harm. Come! Make haste!" Ixsas hurries back to their caravan at a fast pace.
"Both the region and the drakes are dangerous. I only saw 2. No, I never saw their master. There were no nearby people except for the people by the caravan. There were no uniform that he can tell though I do not study the clothing of the little folks." says Borowl.
Krackle and the rest of the party can share what the cultist wear.
As stated, if Krackle has nothing else to ask, Ixsas is ready to return to their caravan to share what they've learned. He'll then argue for pursuing the undead drakes to keep them from causing any more harm.
Zeds is following Ironthar's lead on dealing with the robed figures. The more dealings they have with them the weirder they seem and Zeds is pretty sure that the strangeness at the caravan is their fault... But with no hard proof and Ironthar seemingly trying to calm the situation, Zeds relaxes and steps back a bit. Though he does not sheath his blades.
"They were wearing black robes and some had masks with lots of points." The kobold adds as he gestures to his head. "It's ok if you didn't see them. Hopefully you feel better soon! I'm sure you manages to scare away the drakes so we won't have to worry about them." Krackle adds before nervously glancing towards the bag on his chest.
He would then follow behind Ixsas back to the caravan.
((OOC: @Weathervision - let us know whether Ixsas and Krackle made it back to the caravan without further incident. They'd presumably seek out Faelsin, Ironthar, and Jeds to report what they learned.)
Ixsas and Krackle do make it back to the caravan unscathed and with newfound information. They find the members of the caravan rather tense and some giving the 2 robed figures weird looks.
"Hey! We talked to the giant! they were really nice!" Krackle exclaims as they approach, only to stop and look around. "What happened here... did we miss something?"
Ixsas returns with Krackle. He has wrapped his headscarf around his face again. Once Krackle is done speaking, he shares more detail of their meeting with the giant. He says, "Krackle found the giant who made the footprints. The giant, named Borowl, had been badly injured in a battle with a pair of undead drakes, but I was able to heal him with the Sacred Fire. Borowl seemed to think that these undead drakes were pursuing a caravan ahead of us to the north. Do you know anything about the other caravans on the road? Did you see them leaving ahead of your caravan at one of the other cities along the High Road?"
"Undead? You don't suppose our robed friends could be...? The one really did not seem to mind at all the being stabbed thing," Zeds notes.
Ixsas asks sharply, "Do you think that the red-robed one is some sort of foul necromancer? I had assumed that the drakes were created by the dragon cult that Krackle told me you had encountered. But I suppose they could just be the creation of a lone necromancer who defeated the drakes or found their bodies."
"Lots of caravans come and go from out leaving point though. I really didn't pay any attention to any but our own."
Ixsas ponders the possibility for a moment and then says, "I don't know what dealings you've had with the dragon cult. What do you know about them? Do you know what they want? For example, are they searching for something or someone? Or would they have any other reason to raise these undead and attack a particular caravan?"
In the conversation, Ixsas also offers this suggestion: "Perhaps the giant misunderstood the situation. Maybe the dragon cult is part of the caravan to our north, and the undead drakes are a sort of rear guard."
If it sounds like Ironthar, Zeds, and Krackle are thinking about seeking out and destroying the drakes, Ixsas says, "If you would pursue these undead drakes, I ask that you to take me with you. Kossuth teaches us that all creatures return to the Eternal Flame in death. This kind of necromancy -- raising dead bodies and forcing them into the servitude of cold undeath -- is heresy! I would destroy these things in Kossuth's name for no other reason than to return their bodies to Kossuth in fire! But if the drakes are pursuing this other caravan, we should not let them be attacked unaware. We should destroy the drakes or at least catch up the next caravan so that we can warn them."

Ironthar didn’t get shoved, but he let go after holding on for another 5 second.
”You too stand down Zed, sheath your sword for now.”

Ironthar and Zeds can surmise that Vesax could be partly a construct of some kind or perhaps and undead creation.
